boot problem after first reboot - Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo, Pro

Hi to all friends,I have a big problem.
I have neo with open boot loader, I had miui v4 Rom and yesterday tried to install optimax2.0 .I didn't like the Rom and I wanted to return to miui again with new install, after finishing aroma installation phone rebooted but it hanged on miui boot screen,I reinstalled again with complete wipe the phone boot normally but after first reboot it hanged again on miui bootscreen, I installed Xperia T v5.5 but it hanged again on first restart,
I don't understand why it hangs on first restart?please help me
Sent from my MT15i using Tapatalk 2

try a diff kernel first..if that doesnt work..then
start from scratch..check if this happens with official ICS..if it does, then its prolly kernel related i guess..reflash kernel..

I am not sure because I never used a miui Rom but if I remember correct most or all miui roms are based on cm.
And cm needs special kernels. So flash a proper kernel than the rom and all should be fine.

hi dear friend, the miui Rom was stock based ICS Rom build 587 from Sony, it is not cm based

I usually use night elf v1.5 or 1.4 kernel, they worked with miui fine before this problem,
You mean I flash a stock Rom and then check the problem?
My bootloader is unlocked ,isn't it dangerous?

Ok learned something new.
Till now I only knew from miui roms that come cm based. Thats the reason I never tried one.
For me there is only one good cm Rom and thats the old good cm 7.2

What should happen?
Your bootloader stays unlocked. You will get stock kernel back but you can flash back night elf kernel.
If you flash stock Rom with an ftf file you can exclude the kernel and your currently flashed kernel will stay.

Lemme clear things up..first of all try a diff kernel..if that doesnt solve it..then flash official .587 using flashtool..

[Q] Difference between freeXperia CM9 and official CM9

Hi,
I want to flash cm9 on my Xperia Neo V. Should i use freeXperia cm9 from here or from cyanogenmod website. I tried from Cyanogenmod website cm9 nightly, i extracted kernel from zip and flashed a kernel and then when i press power on to get into recovery nothing comes up just vibrate.
I am on custom rom Xperia T v6 with suave kernel right now...
first should i flash kernel or rom... which one should go first.

I'm used to flash Kernel first, but reading through the forums I've read that should be the same.
Actually, its better to flash kernel first and then do wipes and flash Rom!
Though doin the other way round too is fine, in some cases, but not all!

Of course that kernel has cwm inbuilt!
The problem is not in kernel!
Its just because you are flashing cm9 which is Ics
And FXP 150 or 149 is Jb! I guess!
So it just won't work!
Kernel and Rom have to be same!
Either Ics both or Jb both!

Currently using xperia T v6 with sauve kernel.
As in the picture its says fxp149 cm9. I will explain what I am doing to install cm9.....
double clicking cm9.zip and extracting boot.img and pasting it in c:flashtool/firmwares then switching off device. fastboot, blue light.. clicking flash icon-- fastboot mode then select kernel to flash --- select boot.img --- done
Switching on device, it just vibrates after nothing happens....
then again flash sauve kernel then sony logo comes up and phone boots up...
what am i doing wrong plz help me in installing cm9.. want to try cm9 .
Wait.... Why don't you try to flash kernel via cmd!
This is the command!
Fastboot flash boot boot.img
Try flashing this!
Ps :flash after goin in fastboot mode! Just don't use flashtool this time! Maybe this could work!
Sent from my MT11i using Tapatalk 2
i have tried that too... by both methods...flashing status is ok in the log
Then last option!
Flash stock fw again
And try again!

Yup I meant the entire fw!
Including kernel!
You would lose root!
But you can root it again, right?

Many thanks

The new version of rom will also work with the old kernel, but maybe the new kernel has more fixes... So, its upto u.. If u want flash the new kernel or just flash the rom..
Sent from my Xperia neo V using Tapatalk 2
When did cm 10 become 4.2.1
Afaik its 4.1.2
Anyways, you can use use same kernel like Samak said but maybe the new kernel is there for a purpose(like new features, bug fixes)so you're free to flash new kernel
Or just keep your old kernel!
After all its not that old (matter of few days)

nothing to fear, this is something every one faces atleast in the beginning, just flash stock firmware, and redo the steps correctly, if u want a one shot fix, use SEUS and repair the phone, it will do the installation work.
