i need help please , I tried to apply swap partition on my device hoping would give me extra ram. with mini tools partition i used 5++ mb for linux swap partition (i have 16 gb class 4 sd card ) ,downloaded and installed swapper2 ,
I turned off my phone, and when i tried to turn it on , nothing happened my phone was DEAD !!!!!!! or almost , no charging sign (pc or ac adapter),no recovery mode , no download mode, have no vibrate ...my question is did my xperia sola dead ???

OMFG !
I'm dead if my mom gets to know about it.
It's just been a month , got my phone on my birthday .
Tried to flash a generic neo v rom posted by doomkernerl ... Flashtool gave an error.
Then when i tried to switch on my cell , it just vibrated and nothing was displayed.
When connected to pc , green led is on.
i tried to install the firmware "4.0.1.A0.283" via flashtool but it gives me error.
flashing aborted....then it says device disconnected.
some one help..

Had this too when I tried to root my Neo, which was a birthday gift aswell, after a month. I know what you going through, stay calm and read the forums well
Download Sony Ericsson Update Service, and try to repair you installation.

Try using Sony Ericsson Update Service (link some posts above), have you tried reset using clockworkmod recovery?

download tft with kernel then flash it via flash tool. .be sure your in flashmode

Usually Fusion Kernel Takes time to boot for the first time wait and have patience.....Make sure u are on a JB Rom

Then i did the same thing with sony pc companion n same msg was shown, i.e. update failed. Now my phone is not starttin, wen i press da power button it just vibrates for a while n nothing happens, wen i connect it to a charger, green led glows but nothing happens....wat shud i do ??

Okay. So tell me if you have root or not. If your bootloader is unlocked or not. If you have CWM installed or not?

i did nothing, my fone is not rooted either, just nothing.
i just wanted to format my fone n card, so i just tried to update my fone after removing card n sim !!
then in da middle of nowhere the update failed and now it's not starting
pls help

Okay. So here's what you as a normal Sony Customer do. Take your phone to the Sony Store. And he will repair it there. As it must be still under warranty.
On the other hand, if you want to play with warranty and want to fix it at home, then, download an application called flashtool from the internet. Using this tool, flash the ftf of .42 firmware on to your cell.

No. He got it corrected now. .
He was trying to root a non rootable firmware in a new method as worked out by puppet13th.
The method should have worked in theory, but it did not due to lack of space in phone memory of Till's phone. And that's why it briked.
Now, puppet has worked on the problem, and has edited his project, such that the file which was causing the problem (this file was required for rooting), was removed soon after it did it's job of helping in the root process. .

althought touch is working.. i can unlock the phone and can play songs by guessing touches..
plz plz help me.. am on stock ICS locked bootloader... not rooted....!!!!!
Try restarting the phone . If still not works then try repairing the phone using pc companion. .. Hope its not hardware related.

Maybe it's a hardware problem. Try to flash the stock rom via flashtool.
If that doesn't work, u should send it to repair

Is your Bootloader Unlocked?
Try flashing the stock kernel from this thread: http://talk.sonymobile.com/thread/41119?start=0&tstart=0

Be sure to choose wipe data,cache,logs when flashing Rom and choose the correct rom. Good luck,hope this helps.

I have a big problem :
I tried unlocking my phone's bootloader with omnius and somehow i touched the wrong testpoint and now my phone is dead :
I cannot enter flashmode, I cannot turn on the phone, i cannot enter in fastboot
So if anybody has an idea on how to make it work please let me know

u go to flashmode by turning off ur phone insert the usb while holding the volume down button for xperia mini pro and the green led shows up
but now i can't acces flashmode

If you did bad testpoint then you are probably screwed, i'm sorry bro, you are gonna have to take it to a guy who knows more about that... what you faced is probably a super hard brick, IF you've done testpoint bad
