[Q] Having problem installing ICS Roms - HTC EVO 3D

Hi there,
Here is the background info:
Phone: GSM HTC EVO 3D
Bootloader : revolutionary.io (S-off)
Hboot: 1.49.1107
Recovery: ext4
So first i unlocked the bootloader via htcdev, rooted the phone, realize this will not let me install other firmware/ custom roms, so I install revolutionary boot loader, hoping it will let me, i did it but my CID is weird (i get 11111111 when i do oem readcid, and get 0202 when i do getvar cid), not sure if its normal, and somehow my Hboot is 1.49.1107. (this happen after i installed revolutionary). So if anyone can somehow point me to the right direction that will be great. I can only restore my gingerbread rom, but can't flash any other roms (boot loop/ stuck in boot screen). I did flash an ics firmware before i try to install ics rom (i wasn't able to before i install revolutionary)
Thanks in advance.
J

You should be able to flash ICS and JB roms, my hboot is the exact same, s-off with revolutionary also, did you do a fully wipe? Which rom are you trying to flash, your Cid? Could be the issue but I have no idea

My Cid is Rogers 001
( Don't ask me for help as I couldn't care if your phone explodes, eh! )

I tried Yoda ICS 6.0 and Nonsense 4.0, and both i'm stuck in boot screen

Your radio is? It could be the firmware that you flashed?

No data Connection after ICS

I bought a factory unlocked Evo 3d GSM through EBAY.com ,,, Then I read an article how to change the CID so I change it and install new RUU which support arabic ,,, In the Topic it was mentioned that the new CID will help you using the Middle-east OTAs in the future ...
when the ICS came out, I updated my phone... and Everything is fine except there is no data connections
when I went to APNs it gives me this message "no sim card found, please .."
I went to The Bootloader and when I click on the SIMLOCK it give me
"Open MCCMNC file fail
Open Cid File fail"
Since then I unlocked my bootloader, Rooted my phone and S-Off to Hboot 1.49.9999 using JoupunutBear flashed a customized rom but still couldn't fix it
please help me
Note: I just tried (fastboot getvar Cid - and it shows CID:0202

[GSM] Stuck BootLoop

Hello guyz,
I would be thankful if there is someone that could help me solve my problem.
I have an HTC evo 3D stuck in bootloop. I had ICS 4.0.3 on it.
my mobile is rooted and his cid was HTC_622 with bootloader unlocked and S-ON
i have successfully changed my cid to HTC_001 to flash any stock rom but it gave me update package is too old or something like that i don't remember, i tried another stock rom it gave cid error
I tried to install custom rom (LeeDrOiD_3D_V5.3.0), installation succeed but i'm still stuck in bootloop (i tried to flash boot.img after that, no result)
I have no idea what to do now if someone can help me, I'd be very grateful.
Sorry for my bad english :$
Your hboot has to be compatible with the kernel. The kernel has to be compatible with the firmware.
Since you are s-on, you need to find a rom whose kernel is compatible with your hboot and firmware.
sudo passwd root

My guess is you are trying to boot a newer rom on old firmware.

I couldn't find my rom
I read a thread that explain how to find the correct ruu for my mobile.
I should know my cid and it is HTC__001 but how can I know my software version if my mobile isn't booting
Hmm http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1245424
Appears you are trying to flash a GB rom onto ICS firmware. Never gonna work.
sudo passwd root

in order to know its CID, put the device into (fastboot usb) then try this command: fastboot getvar cid
Thank you guyz for your help ^^

[Q] Is it the end ?

Hi
I just got my EVO 3D GSM Shooter_U. Sorry about my bad english.
I was trying to root it. Now, not only I'm stuck with boot looping but I can not flash custom roms anymore. So I try to reset factory settings but I was too late to s-off and also the stock rom has been wiped.
then I flashed cmw recovery and try flashing many rooted stock roms but it didn't work. ( I even tried flashing Boot.img via fastboot as my mob is s-on )
Now my situation is like neither flashing custom roms nor going back to stock.
so Is there any way to recover it ? help me please.
Hboot 1.53.007
Unlocked (htcdev)
S-On
I would suggest running an RUU

[Q] Update Revolutionary Bootloader

So I have an HTC Evo 3D with changed motherboard(That means that i cannot unlock the HTC method) and recendly I accomplished to downgrade it with the Ultimate Recovery Tool and unlock it with revolutionary. This means that I am in HBOOT 1107 with S-OFF,rooted and 4ext recovery...I managed to install 1 or 2 ROMs succesfully but when i tried to install Viped3D and an other one that uses Aroma and have sence in them they stuck in Boot screen...
I searched a bit and I figured out than i have to update my HBOOT...
Can anyone tell me if i am right and if i am how to do it without losing my unlock and root and without bricking my phone...
Thank You
Revolutionary hboot shouldn't be giving you problems with viper rom. you can try by changing hboot to 1.49.0007 from here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1906172
But before you do just want to make sure that before you did this unlock method was your hboot 1.53 or an older hboot?
---------- Post added at 06:09 PM ---------- Previous post was at 06:01 PM ----------
The reason i'm asking if you had hboot 1.53 is that most roms require the newer firmware: http://d-h.st/Mf1
This isnt a problem if in the past you had updated to ics(1.53 hboot) using RUU or official update. if you went from 1.49.xxxx to revolutionary then you need this for roms to boot

Firstly Thank you...2ndly yes i was in 1.53 and i think i have problem with all Roms that use Aroma...:/
thats wierd
I dont really understand what exploit Unknownforce used to s-off replaced motherboards so maybe its a kind of bug with it.
So can you boot Jelly Bean roms right now?
