[APP][SUPPORT CM10 ROM] Paragon NTFS & HFS+ WIN & MAC - Galaxy Note II Themes and Apps

Hello,
I have for you today nice app.
This app support card 32/64gb with format NTFS to CM10 ROM.
App required root access. Don't support exFat.

Any Custom rom CM10 don't support ntfs/exfat.
There is no ntfs/exfat externel sdcard support in cm10. To use ext sdcard you will need to reformat it to fat32 using third party utilities in windows. If you already flashed you can use adb in cwm recovery to pull your data.

I used now Samsung Note II with 64GB card formatted to NTFS with ROM CM10 and works for me.
Working programs:
MX player
Titanium Backup
PowerAmp ( working when you mount ExtSDcard to internal memory folder (/storage/sdcard0/name_folder ))
Next programs later...
Not working:
... not yet find ;P
Special Thanks for:
CyanogenMod team, Xda , Me for find , Paragon Software, Samsung

Can you confirm if using PowerAmp music player app can read the card with NTFS mounted?
I tried once with PA Rom and this app, everything mount and works just fine except PowerAmp so I reverted back to stock rom with exFat.

Question posted multiple times before a search of XDA may find the solution .
jje
I formated it with first software that came up after the google search,
but the galaxy s 2 says that the file system is not supported...
is there anything else i need to do to make it work?
Plesae help me i couldnt find anything!
I really need help here guys, I bought the sdcard
for putting hd films on it, and splitting them is not an option
because I use subtitles from a file and they are not together
with the mkv file...
It went to like page 5
What i think you need is link2sd from the market and dual partition the sdcard.

Which ROM are you in? Maybe you're ROM can't mount SD Card as ext2. You could also try exFAT.
I'm using Checkrom Revolution v4...
Using another program to format it will work?

You can create multiple partitions on your external SD card formatted with ext2/3/4 or NTFS (together with Siyah kernel and ntfs-3g) or FAT32. Use your PC and a partition manager or fdisk/mkfs on your rooted phone.
But you have to mount the partitions manually or you need special support from the kernel (via ueventd). If you want to replace the external FAT32 partition completely with another filesystem for use with the ROM as media partition you need a compatible mount manager (vold daemon). The vold version 2 in stock ROMs only supports FAT32. I guess there is no difference with Checkrom Revolution. As far as I know only CM 7 has support for a (read only) NTFS partition and extX.
Changing a kernel would make it work on CheckRom Revolution?
if so, is there any recomended kernel?
I am wondering the same thing. I am using the stock Samsung kernel...

[Q] Gummy Rom on Vibrant Problem

Just had a question to put out there. Flashed the Gummy ICS ROM, everything went fine, smooth, fast. Really liking it. Two problems I ran into which I have never had flashing roms. My gmail app will not install, I get an error and my sixteen Gb ext. sd card with stuff on it has gone missing. It doesn't show up in any file explorer on the phone or when mounting it to my computer. Thanks
i am on gummy but i do not have any of those issues. external sd is emmc. i use the miui file explorer and enable root in the settings, its much easier for me because all i have to do is click 1 button and choose emmc. i dont use gmail but maybe you have the wrong GAPPS installed? which GAPPS are you using?
I am on gummy also. I had to flash twice. After the second time my comp doesn't recognize ext sd (emmc). It is really important that you flashed gapps or a lot of functions won't work!
What are you looking at shortbus......
Gummy
The problem seems to be something with the google play store I have because I can't intall any apps from it. I did flash the gapps. Still no ext sd card. Maybe will re flash rom. Everything else is great. This is the first time I have had any issues to resolve after flashing.
Partial fix
So the issue with installing apps from the play store is fixed. Re flashed rom and gapps. Still no external memory card.
does your computer see your phone at all?
missing ext sd

Just to clarify, your computer doesn't recognize ext sd ? Can you access files from ext SD on phone ie music, pics? Can you access ext SD file on root browser? I'd like to figure the issue out.
What are you looking at shortbus......
What are you doing on Gummy?
It's like me using a leaked 2.2 ROM
Use something like CM9 from this month or AOKP from this month.

My computer is an iMac and all other roms until Gummy, showed up as two separate drives on my desktop and in finder. It's not too big of a deal breaker on the rom. just weird. i store music, pictures, and movies on it. I mostly stream pandora, slacker, and music from the online storage on my amazon player so the extra storage is not that big of a loss. I will keep messing with it and see what happens. I was able to get to the files from the phone today through file manager. This was the path /mnt/emmc. It's like the file scanner is not finding it when booting and scanning. Thanks
Good gummy!
All is good with gummy rom. Somewhere along the way messing with things I mounted the emmc in CWM recovery. That must have solved it. Pictures, music, and movies are working and they are only on that card. Never had to do that on any other roms. Thanks for the concern and help.

Best App2SD method ?

So we all know the Xperia 2011 internl storage is very low. On my Xperia Mini Pro, with CM9 installed (normally, the smallest rom out there), I'm struggling to install apps and keep my storage with at least 50mb free. I use the ZDBox app that has an APP2SD option for moving apps to the SD Card but that's still not enough.
Is there a way I overlooked ? In my old HD2 days, Apps2Ext was working very well. With a 1gb ext partition on your sd-card, you were good to go. However, "ext" doesn't seem to be a popular option around here.
Any idea ?
Thanks !
Link2SD
best for me

Hi
I confirm, link2sd is a life saver.
Link2sd FTW!
But ull lose ur apps if u format ur fone even though apps are in the sd card

Link2SD is the best method.
Format your sdcard:
2 partitions (primary) - 1 FAT32 (the main one), 2 EXT2 (for moving apps to 500-1000MB).
In my system I have 100-200 apps (internel storage -150mb free/ system-40 mb free).
All apps are linked to second partition on the sd card.
Important LEAVE launchers, widgets and root apps in internal storage!
Thanks guys! Will look into it this week-end...

link2sd is the best for me, its has many options, move app to system, unistall system app, clear cache, clear dalvik cache, and you can choose 1 by 1 were to install the app, sometimes i use it just to unistall some system app and clear dalvik ( when i flash a new rom) because you can use it without mount ext for that
Same here. The first app I install after a flash, is Link2SD and Root Explorer. Can't live without them.
Hi
As said, link2sd all the life.:good:
why do i selec install location failure " segmentation fault"
file system type of formated partition
Hi Everyone,
I would like to ask if You know with file system is used during preparing of sd card?
I'm using to create partitions on card CWM (6.0.2.7) from stock CM10 FXP203 kernel.
Created partition has 1GB but App2SD at first run not accepted ext2 saying that that file system might be unsuported.
My phone is Sony LwW with 32GB SD card. What I should select or do to order to work.
Thanks
Thom

Now is working but I had one strange issue where after moving programs to sd card they still exist in phone so I've two copies.
To be certain how to do it: first I've to move to sdcard and then I've to create link right?
EDIT: Seems to be first time use issue problem, I didn't saw arrow (link)
Thanks

Which version of Remix are you using? And were you able to open the files directly through ES Folder app after mounting or you have to always copy it to internal storage to open the file.

I'm using remix OS 64 bit alpha , root remix os first then install paragon NTFS & HFS + , allow root root permission , it will automatically mount all partition when you open it , you have to open this app every time you start remix os . then close the app, after that you can see all partition in every file browser

Oh... Thanks for the Info.
I read in the Remix groups that, the new version 2.0 is lollipop based and due to security changes, we can only access drives but cannot run the files directly from other hard drive partitions. We have to copy paste them to internal memory to use.

No need to copy paste anything , I am watching movie and listening song from my D drive without any error , just need to copy apk to your internal storage other wise you can't install it , extract, delete , edit file in other partition working fine . confirm ☺
I dont know much but latest beta of phoenix os provides this facility out of box
Problem with phoenix os is that it doesnt have out of the box ethernet settings otherwise i would have moved to it by now

I am using Samsung galaxy S5 (SM-G900I) , Android version 6.0.1 was rooted successfully as installed root apps confirmed that.
Phone has SD 32 GB and via my laptop card reader (i.e not via phone and USB cable) I created two primary partitions 30 GB FAT32 and 2 GB ext2 when it didn't work I changed it to ext4 but still no joy.
What I tried so far uninstalled and installed Link2SD twice still receiving the same error above
I tried to create the second partition on the external SD card while the phone is connected to my laptop via USB (i.e not using a card reader ) , instructions in the link below
http://www.androidgadgematic.com/2012/05/how-to-create-second-partition-on-micro.html
Although my computer recognized the internal storage of the phone and the external one but laptop program Mini partition couldn't see the external SD card ,,,,why I don't know !!!
Any advice what should I do to overcome this issue ?
Thanks
Androed 6...
Did you knew, that link2sd, in androed 4.4+ does not works, if you use dalvik-cache?
Yes, for return again, link2sd will work, only if you odex your apps.
How to odex?
Use apktool for "odex this app" .
