I hard bricked my atrix about a year ago and there was no fix for it then. Has anything changed?

Nope.
Its a hardbrick for a reason.
Sent from that Cius.
Actually Moto did pretty good job preventing unbrick and closing down sources.
Two thumbs up and best wishes for their quick demise.

I installed the 20120803 version of CM9 last night and upon reboot, the phone did nothing. The screen didnt turn on and no red light during charging. I left it charging all night and it still doesnt do anything. I connected it to my computer to try to use adb to get it to restart, and the computer doesn't find it.
I checked the battery with a multimeter and it reads 3.7 volts
The latest builds perma brick your phone. That was discussed in the thread. I hope It's not but if you flashed it It's bricked. Get a replacement.

The latest one from dmeadows' site causes perma brick? I thought it was his own test build he was working on.
on s-off phones, yes, it can brick your phone. s-on phones seem safe. This is only 1 build of aosp that is out there that is doing it. Not sure if that is the version you installed. Call verizon and tell them your phone won't turn on and that you've tried 2 known good batteries.
It was bricked. Went into verizon and ordered a replacement- will be here by Tuesday or Wednesday.
Activated my droid x for the time being
Shouldn't they take that bricking build down or is it not publicly accessible?

i didnt think the brick build was public ?
I thought it was only on dmeadows' test build that had perma bricking, but the one on his site caused my phone to brick and is still available.

It's kind other people's faults if they don't read and download a build which is obviously going to brick (It's been stated across these forums) It's up so people that are S-On can download it it still and see how it runs.
lol
What I read from dmeadows' posts is that a build he was working on caused the brick, not the one that has been available for over a week
It doesn't matter anyhow. It also says flash at your own risk several people bricked.

Mobile Tech Videos just added the AT&T LGOG to his JTAG Service. JTAG fixes permanent bricks where the device won't even boot.

I bricked my OG when my computer crashed in the middle of a LGNPST. I shipped mine out to him earlier this week. I'll let you know how it goes.
Damn that's actually a really cool idea. Wish I knew more about this stuff. I would totally open a shop in the mall that specializes in all kinds of phone repair.
I wish I knew what they did Lol

Basically what he does is, he uses his JTAG device and program to reflash the bootloader/download mode to the device. This is why he has to open the phone up and solder wires directly to the mainboard. Once the bootloader is all working, he can put the phone back together and reboot the phone into download mode. From there he most likely uses LGNPST to flash back all the other partitions.
This is just my best guess from watching the video.
Lol the phone in the video is my actual phone. The one I'm responding on right now. He did a great job. Thanks josh @ mobiletechvideos.com.
Im not scared to try anything on my phone anymore since I know I can always get it fixed lol

Well thanks to you now the many LGOG xda-ers don't have to be afraid either. Glad to see your return, not that you really left though.

I don't think it should be sticked but the info should go into either Pony's FAQ thread or Carrett's Everything Thread. If someone bricks they are most likely to look there first.
Hey guys just picked up my ONE today after debating between it and the s4 for a few weeks.. I really like the feel of the device, sound from the speakers, and sense is so much nicer than touchwiz in my opinion but on the in store HTC one the camera kept freezing as soon as you opened and/or force closing... I assumed it was just from abuse or a tin of running apps or something else simple and the other display unit(a black one) worked just fine.. so I purchased a black one as I like the look of it better but now about 5 hours later my ONE has started doing the same thing until I restarted the phone.. tried clearing data and cache but no luck till the reboot .. has anyone else had the same problem?
I love the phone.. but if this is a sign of things to come I'll probably change my mind and go for the s4 even though I hate the plastic construction and touchwiz..
Thanks in advance for any help you guys can give

Just acquired a incredible 4g, finally get to upgrade forums. I need some questions answered tho. I have a unaltered device and use page plus. The following are things I need to know please. Yes I have searched but nothing real recent and prefer advice from people here.
**how to flash for use on page plus. Step by step.
**should device be rooted prior to the page plus flash.
**phone still has SIM card with it, should this stay?
SIM need to be altered in anyway?
Best to remove SIM if no global travel.
**any other advice that anyone feels useful. Very excited to get started. Thanks in advance.

Go to one of your locale page plus dealers. They should be able to tell you if it is compatible with the network and flash or for you.

did not really have the extra cash but ended up having it flashed. had hoped to find some way of saving that $50 but well worth the cost.
Newbie here. Recently got the HTC One and started using it.
Everytime i take a picture with the flash or put the phone on loudspeaker, the phone will shut off itself and i have to manually power it back up. It also was doing this even when not in use.
I was wondering what can be causing this,
That's some sort of defect and you should get a warranty replacement
Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk 4
Thanks man.
Just actually called in to HTC and they told me re install the rom and if that doesnt work they will do the ticket for warranty.
Why not use at&t?

even if i was not the original owner of the phone?
I heard good and bad stories from that particular situation, some say it's possible but it's hell. Give it a try and do not be specific, but it's based on when the phone was bought from them so it's pretty unlikely.

I believe the warranty is on the phone and not the ownership. If your account is in good standing, they should warrant the phone. And yes it will be a refurbished one.
