I am on ultimate HD 2.0. But it does not Walkman, music widgets, and other widgets...

Dude..there are already many similar threads..and i think that labelling one rom as the best would be insulting all the other devs who worked hard to give us these roms..
So if u've got the time..try out some of the trending roms(as in active ones)..and choose for yourself..

Im was on jelly sandwich two weeks ago and he's the best for daily man

You said great Point here... my intention was not insult devs, i will try out select best one... I asked this because this is first time i have flashed custom rom, as to be till its a risky work to do with my phone.
I appreciate devs here. Keep up the good work devs.

I'd prefer a proper 100% working Cyanogenmod port first...

I think cynogenmod is way better.
My Personal choice.
i would like that cm7 works properly with CAMERA
First a properly working cm7 and then will see
Sent from my MT15i using XDA App
CM7 is not too far off being complete from what I can see (yet to personally test it though) MIUI will need a fair bit of work to even get started on but it would be nice to be ported for the neo as it was my choice on my google nexus S phone I have.
Maybe we can get the camera driver edited to work with CM7 somehow, I dunno. will be wanting to help test a MIUI port if and when it comes available too.
You do realise that MIUI is made from Cyanogen and AOSP sources, and we are getting integrated into the cyanogen now so fully working cyanogen isnt far away then MIUI isn't far away too
Edit: wrong forum too yet again...
Gets kinda annoying seeing questions and opinions and polls that 'relate' to android development in the android development forum... there is a general for some of you guys...
Sent from my MT15i using xda premium
Yes I do realise that it is made from the sources but still will take a little time to port, main reason why I think development is slow is there is no camera driver (yet) would love to see both working on the neo too.
Hmm didn't realise it was in the wrong section man.

Just disappointing at times when ya go on Android development and there's a thread about things like this.... meant no offense
I know its exciting thinking about it it is for me too, when the camera drivers for CM7 are sorted I will make a port
I can't guarentee a bug free release but still I do plan on porting it to Arc when camera is working

I will be wanting to start some dev. for the neo too but don't want to start till there is a working camera driver to be honest, I am still learning but It is a very fun experience.
It's all good.

anyone continue working on GB development?

i think no one is bothered to look back after getting ICS updats.. GB was awesome than ICS. only thing is Apps different..
y ppl r not turning back to work on GB.. Plz can some 1 can help developing a custom rom based on GB?
or teach us so we can develop our own GB custom rom....
i think that GB custom rom in Dev. section has reached its maximum performance, it's totally perfect ..
so what you need more / develop more for GB ?

What is there left to do? They are no new feature that can be ported because of limitations in the API e.g. faceunlock. so why bother, all the roms (well most) are running perfect and smooth and fast. Ics is better now. Just have to wait for the devs to optimize it a bit more, then it will be perfect fast and smooth too. But now that jellybean is out, thats where dev is going for us. the next version of android will be out by the time roms become smooth and fast, then the devs will start again.
Cheers,
Evil.

Nobody wanna look to the past, pals. Every version has a limit and developers will always look for the next new feature.

nah! there's no hard feel buddy. I, myself, agree that GB is better. but think again, GB has released since 2010 comparing to ICS which has released October 2011. And it's almost 2 years for GB. no wonder we could say GB is better for ICS today. just wait the devs to gain it to be better. but since JB has released, I also wonder about it.
well said, if you still want to work with GB i hope you could get what you really wish.

[DISCUSSION] Too many Stock Based ROMS?

Firstly,
Don't take this the wrong way. Read it completely first and then express your opinions please.
No offense to all you awesome devs who spend time on making ROMS and try to give us your best. I appreciate every bit of your work.
Now back on Topic.
In the last 2-3 months or so, I have started to feel that there are too many stock based ROMS that have been appearing.
And honestly speaking, they all are siblings, i.e. Almost identical with a very minute difference in their looks or very minor cosmetic changes.
So my point is, This vast selection makes people who are new here ( noobs as we lovingly call them ) get confused and keep asking numerous times about which is the best ROM? And also bit*h about some ROM sometimes.
So, my message to you devs is that, if you are spending time on developing, why not make something really unique?
I am not forcing you to, but if all the work you do amounts to nothing since there is already an identical ROM out there, why not do something that you'll be remembered for?
I know this maybe too much for a non-developer guy like me to say or talk about, but I have my reasons to not have enough time to not develop. This lack of time I have made me feel, why do you guys spend time on something that's already been done?
Eg: our great korm first brought us AOKP ICS/ JB and now PAC.
emann is still trying hard to make GB super awesome.
ZduneX25 and Maxworks who take care of MIUI for neos
Sdk who gave us MIUI JB.
ThilinaC who's ROM is stock based, but he took a whole different approach for Pureness and made it less like Sony and more like his own, awesome themed ROM.
And yeah Zdune and mike for proving that pure AOSP doesn't suck. It is still the smoothest ICS has ever been on my phone. Ever.
And there are many more like these guys. Sorry if I didn't include your name coz I didn't recall it right now.
All I want to say is do something like they have done guys.
" Always forgive your enemy, nothing will ever annoy him more."
Yeahs, i was thinking on this... Why dont they do like in x8 forums... Cm9 for locked bootloader

dats what I was also thinking.. bcz I'm not a dev didn't dare to speak.. no offence to anyone... ∩__∩
Ok agreed with this, but bring us some more for locked bootloaders also then and not only for unlocked bootloaders what the must devs do, all the roms what i see here requires also stock kernel, so whats the point, no need to unlock your bootloader for a special rom.
Very simple into my eyes to understanding
Sent from my Xperia Neo V with JS 7.4 with Dutch cream cheese + Ham and peppers !!
It is possible. Motorola doesn't allow you to unlock your bl. So all recent Motorola phones have all kinds of roms working on locked BL.
" Always forgive your enemy, nothing will ever annoy him more."
Totally agree with you DeathCzar!
No offence to any dev....
But it's a thing I've noticed as well....
Some minor changes between them! And all claim the same
Not that I'm criticizing anyone's work ... Just stating the obvious...
Peace

There is just one ROM like that UHD.
It's hands down the best ROM out there.
I really like the ideology of jader.
He gives us a stripped down performance driven ROM allowing users to customize the way we want.
Just look at the kind of testing he's doing with the new version.

You didn't get me mate, this thread topic is about making a different Rom so I firmly deny that uhd has any unusual looks n
Almost all stock Rom gives stable performance,
What's challenging is porting a different ui like that of HTC or Sammy n making it usable on our device
Again you may very well deny but this is my feel

Well no, because it has a different CPU, GPU and chipset. You can only flash an Xperia T ROM if someone has actually ported it, but I don't think that would be very easy. We have loads of great ROMs and I can't see what we're lacking that the Xperai T devs have?

Chill mate. Everyone has likes and dislikes. Personal opinions. There's no such thing as the best rom. Most good devs never claim my Rom is the best. They just put forward their work. People who like it, use it. Those who don't like it, use something else. Let's keep this friendly and not create wars over which Rom is the best. with your experience on XDA you should know, what is going to be an excellent ROM for somebody else, may not be for you. I don't know what kind of user you are.
not sure what your last phone was, but we have quite a bit of variety here.
here is my rundown and I am sure you know basics
ICS 4.0.4...........super stable by know beings update official updates have gone beyond
JB 4.1.2...........Touchwiz based pretty darn close to stock (debloated) and DAMN stable. only a couple out there but rock solid. some theming and mods out there for personal touches. not many updates needed
JB 4.2..............these would be AOSP, AOKP and CM based ROMS. lots of customizing. basically 3 ROM's in 1. with bells and whistles are some shortcomings. random reboots being the biggest flaw. many have success using alternate KERNALS built in conjunction with certain ROM's, giving options for OCing and UVing. different tweaks here and there can better chances for success. lots of updates on these.
JB 4.3..............still early in the game. smooth but working out a lot of kinks right now. its coming along
just an honest everyday user here giving an honest opinion m my experience here. folks are great funny and very helpful and a LOT of talent in development here.
good luck my friend. I am sure others will be along to correct me on SOMETHNG

Some people love Padawan, Blackstar....
Others love 4.2 ROM's, or ICS rom's
It depends what you want in a ROM. I'm using Skeleton Key, because I like ICS a lot. It works just fine for my needs. It is an excellent ROM, as are all the others. It just like I said...depends what YOU want.

you obviously have not read p. 355- 378 in thread then. which deals with the ONLY issue folks have had with that ROM. with those settings, my phone runs orgasmic.
always read, read, read
not my intention to be a D#@K. too many people are wanting someone else to do the work for them lately. when basically it is what they themselves do to their phone, not what somebody else does it. so why would you not want to inform yourself and understand.
