I have a International Samsung Galaxy S3 I9300.
I decided to change the mainboard of the phone.
Question: Do I have to use the mainboard of the same model? Can I use models from Verizon or At&t?

A friend of mine had his Galaxy S2 serviced since he had issues with his WIFI module, samsung issued a replacement motherboard for him and now the technician says that the replacement motherboards cannot upgrade to ICS because of several issues and lost features, Is there any truth to this ?
Well it it was changed to i9100G, and few weeks back that was true. Not anymore.
I think all the variants are on same page now.
So its possible that he got a I9100G motherboard as a replacement instead of a I9100 Exynos ?
That's the only thing come to my mind...

hello guys, i currently have a i9300 international model and i have cracked my screen, at the moment i have seen a cheaper replacement but the only issue is that it is the sprint galaxy s3 model, just wondering if both the international and sprint assemblys have the same screen and are capatible with eachother. thanks.

I have international version of Samsung Galaxy S2 Gt-I9100 with bad mother board.I have a friend in US who has two S2's with broken displays.But they are US versions from T-Mobile and Sprint.
Can anyone tell me is it possible to swap the LCD of international version in to US versions of Samsung Galaxy S2?

No, the screen on the SGH T989 (the US T-Mobile version) is larger @ 4.52", the I9100 is 4.3" (source: GSM Arena).
And what about the main board?Are they the same or different?Maybe it is better to find used main board and put it in my phone.
Processors are different, might not be compatible with other components in the phone. Yes, your best bet is to try & source a 2nd hand board (the correct one) - search online.

So now I want to buy new display but its too much range and I dont want to expend so much money for this mobile.But one of my friend has USC Galaxy S3 SCH-R530 model and his motherboard not working.So I'm thinking that its possible that my GT-I9300 model motherboard can fit on SCH-R530????If is it possible then I save sooo much money.Please guys tell me is it possible?????
As I remember display is the same but there are differences in mainframe between those models. I9300 motherboard will not fit without modifications in r530 lte variant frame. You could short circuit and fry your motherboard if you will make this wrong.
