Just wondering why I haven't been charged yet. Never pre-ordered with verizon before. I paid full cost to retain my unlimited.

I wonder if amazon will be shipping out on the 19th as well? would be nice to only have to pay 3.99 for one-day shipping. It's already on the amazon site for preorder

Amazon currently shows it with FREE 2-Day shipping, but also is showing it as Back-ordered already...

They probably won't be slashing the price of it the day after its release like they did for the Razr HD lol. I can't imagine how upset the people who bought it on release day must have been.

They do this all the time on a per order. I have been through it before.
I got my shipping confirmation too, mine said delivery by 10:30am 11/20.

To me, the tracking number is invalid at FedEx:

Im not sure if this is true but it's seems that only people who chose the highest shipping option are getting their confirmation and tracking numbers, has anybody who just went with the free shipping get a tracking number? Or an email?
It went by order of "first come first serve." I ordered mine on 12/3 with the 2nd day shipping and got my tracking number on the 23rd. It's currently in Louisville, KY headed to Erie, PA. Should be here on Wednesday.

Expedited, not highest, and ordered abut 4.5 hours after they opened this up on friday, about 9 pm eastern time on the east coast, where I am. And got my tracking number about an hour ago.
Also ordered one regular shipping about 7:30 eastern time, an hour and a half before, no tracking number yet.
I ordered on 11/25 with standard ground (free) shipping, got my tracking on the 19th and an ETA of 12/28...

First, I know that you're talking about BB because I've been following that thread. Others will have no idea what you're talking about. BB's ordering and fulfillment is FUBAR. To the point it made the national news. Most likely, just like the original pre-order fiasco, many people that tried to order the Grey unit meant as a swap for screwed up Champagne pre-orders will get a cancellation notice. Even with the first pre-orders, people got tracking numbers only to have their orders canceled because there were no units in the warehouse to physically ship. With BB, you can't say your order's succesful until you see the package show in transit on the UPS or FedEx website. And after the first round of this, there's not going to be a lot of sympathy for people that subjected themselves to it again.
Seriously, no need to created another thread. Just post in the one of many other threads.
Just be patient, im sure they got hundreds of orders to fill and are doing their best.

but people have called best buy saying indeed they have units in... not to mention that they charged me money, last time every bodies charges were pending and then canceled. My money was legitimately taken from my account.
The fact that my dad ordered 2 primes on the 20th (one for each of us) and it it was backordered til the 28 when it turned to... " 3 day delivery pending " it still has delivery on the 5th. Which I highly doubt will happen. I know it's not their fault but they can certainly handle this a lot better. I have sent two different emails and got very similar responses. That didn't even answer my questions. I didn't want to call them cause it hasn't bothered me that much until now. I asked then to upgrade my shipping lol. I can dream.

Hey Axe, did you get a tracking number yet? I ordered on Dec. 28th and I got a UPS tracking number for it yesterday but UPS says it's not at their facility yet. My scheduled delivery is for the 5th as well. Also feel like it's probably not gonna happen :/ cancelled my Amazon order too, maybe should have ordered from Gamestop, their ETA was Jan. 6th but who knows, they're probably not getting any either.

Mine finally made it to the UPS shipping center!! Says it will be here right on time on the 5th fingers crossed.
i ordered on the 28th, item says its backoredered, went on live chat about 10 minutes ago and they said ill get it on the 5th. i dont think its going to happen but we'll see. they said the site might not be updated with the latest info.
Ya mine got to the shipping center as well. Btw I haven't been contact yet like they said the local Distributer would. But this is better than nothing.

Office Depot order
I ordered mine on 12-30, est. delivery 1-10-12... currently " In Warehouse".
At the time I ordered it was not showing up as "back-ordered".
Just an update I finally got my tracking number. It's in Texas now scheduled delivery 1/5. Only problem is I work at 4am on Fridays so I guess I won't be getting much sleep. Haha.

Mine is out for delivery from Office Depot this morning. From the way my order progressed, "In Warehouse" seems to indicate that your tablet is in a box, waiting to be shipped.
I called customer service yesterday because my order said delivery on the 4th (today!) and I still didn't have a tracking number. They said they're using a third-party warehouse and that was delaying the tracking info, but assured me it would ship on time.
This morning I woke up to an email with a tracking number and it was already out for delivery. Hang in there, the numbers are slow to arrive, but your tablet may be on the way. Mine shipped from Harrisburg, PA, about an hour from me!
Now I just hope everything is okay with mine so I don't need to deal with an exchange.

That's really weird. I ordered on the 30th, and had a ship date of the 4th and mine did ship. How can yours be backordered if you ordered before me?
From the conversations I had with customer service, they don't seem to have a firm grasp on their supply chain. I don't think I'll be doing business with them again. I wasn't impressed.
Thought I'd make a thread for people who pre ordered through Amazon instead of clogging other threads.

Just ordered mine and Del date is 5/22. Ships 5/18.
I think it says back order because its a pre-order? Not sure?
But release is not until 5/18 so.... I hope it ships that day because I have 5/22 off from work.
It says free activation for new lines... but when I ordered as an upgrade it said Sprint would charge me $36 activation. I called Sprint retention department and complained about their lack of lte, etc and got a credit to my account and a promise to waive the activation fee
To get free overnight shipping just email amazon and ask nicely. Include your order #. They were really cool about it.
The $36 fee waiving is for new lines only, not upgrades.
And don't worry about the backorder note, Amazon told me that's just a placeholder type deal. They told me that that all pre orders are on track to ship by 5/18.
My estimated delivery date is the 5/21.

I purchase everything via Amazon, but I couldn't wait (too excited) to pre-order so I went with Sprint.com, I should have waited.
I made a promise to myself to never do that again, so my next HTC phone will definitively be via Amazon for sure.
I was opposite. I ordered through Sprint, canceled, ordered through Amazon to save $62.
I too am an Amazon fanboy. I have no problem waiting a few extra days.

But they did throw in a free charger and a $10.00 Google Wallet Credit.

Amazon did say I should have it by 5/22. Not sure whether I believe that or not, but at least they are giving me a date. I also noticed they gave me a free car charger once I placed my order. That was a nice surprise.
Not sure how this customs thing is going to affect it if it is true.

Yep they are giving a free car charger to everyone. Can never have enough of those generic USB chargers.
In all honesty, I doubt the Customs thing is going to affect pre-orders that much. Most of those phones have probably been in the country for at least a few days.
Those customs batches are for units not yet sold, I suspect.

Amazon often plays by its own rules. So I wouldn't be completely shocked to see them ship out preoders if they were able to get their batch. I know Sprint would prohibit them from doing this, but how effective could they be?

Just got my response back for the change in shipping. My order has been updated and says it will ship on the 18th and be received on the 21st. I figure Amazon will join the delay alongside everyone else, but they are taking their time getting that info to their customers, so I wonder if they will do anything about that... they are generally good with their customer service. I don't mind waiting if it comes to that.
Yeah I'm trying to keep my expectations low so I don't get disappointed but I'm hoping they already had some stock onhand before it went to backorder status and are still sending those who had preordered their phones on time.
On a related note, I did email again and requested for one-day delivery instead of the free two-day shipping that they automatically give you and score!

Same here. Still shows as pending with a shipping estimate of November 15th. Charge hasn't gone through on the credit card either. I didn't even order the 32gb, I ordered the 16, which is still available on the Play Store. This is ridiculous.
Ordered the 16GB within the first 30 minutes, got a shipping e-mail this morning at 3AM, shipped from Louisville, KY. Scheduled for Friday delivery.
ordered on tuesday evening.... still pending.lost my hope it would arrive this week...

Ordered mine at 11:34 Eastern, within a minute of the page going live.
I did not even get a confirmation email, and I have UPS MyChoice with no packages on the way as far as I can tell. Still Pending too.

Be happy you knew when the release date was--I preordered the Nexus 7 and had to wait more than two weeks, most of the time in the dark as to when it was actually being shipped out. Not only that, but brick-and-mortar stores ended up selling them before Google had shipped the preorders. It was really annoying and ten times more tortuous than this.

Mine just changed from processing to Back ordered...

i just logged into my AMEX account and the pending charge for the phone disappeared. maybe that means theyre about to ship it because they dont actually charge the card until the phone ships.

It seems that AT&T is giving priority to business customers, as most others seem to be stuck in limbo as Premier customers have theirs shipped out already.
Pre-ordered in-store on 4/9, still Pending.

Not all business customers. I ordered mined on the 4th. still shows pending shipment. Although hopeful that it will change before Tuesday.
I ordered on 4/4 right when pre-orders started and my phone changed to shipped just a bit ago with a tracking number that doesn't work just yet.

Not more than a couple minutes, if that.
Mine shipped too. Received the notification on 4PM central. Its actually surprising that I'm expected to receive it April 17th
Also, in case someone gets worried about the HTC Media Link that's supposed to some with it: I called customer care because my shipment notice didn't include it, but the rep said that it should come as an in-box accessory. Would have to wait and see if that's really the case.
to those who received their tracking numbers, was it for the 32gb or 64gb version? mine is for the 64gb and i still dont have a tracking number.
I have a dev edition coming but i ordered a 64 gb from ATT today. Just got off the phone actually. They jacked my premier site up and the shopping tab wasnt visible. They fixed that but said it would be 24 hours before it showed up. So i called in and ordered. I asked if they were on back order, she checked the SKU of the 64gb and said it showed -157 (negative). I wonder if that is the total amount ordered or the amount on backorder... She didnt know. Anyway they knocked 200 off the price even though i got an upgrade in November. Added overnight fed ex. Hopefully it ships tomorrow.
Mind's 32gb normal ed. Its also through FedEx if that makes any difference and I placed my order on the 4th.
