Hi, I saw something about 3g galaxy tab and motorola xoom being able, by rooting, to phone features(calling like a normal phone).
My question is if our loved tablet s can be rooted to do that. I have a 3g sgpt112pt/s and he can send sms, and I'd like to have that feature too.
Can anyone tell me if that can be done?
Thanks in advance, and sorry for the crappy english

Hi
I have a Moto Xoom WiFi and would like to use it from time to time with my phone .
The idea is to take an offer from Virgin Mobile UK for a Galaxy S2 and use it as a Hotspot for my Xoom.
Would any UK users out there know if Virgin allows it before I engage myself for two years?
Thanks

A more simple question. Can a Samsung GS2act as a hotspots with a Motor Zoom?
The reason I ask is today I went to a Virgin shop. The guy did not know if it would work. So he asked one of the girl there if we could use her S2 as a hotspot with my Xoom. It did say connected , but they could not communicate. So, I am still uncertain to get a GS2.

Heh great to see you followed the advice from our site.
Sorry I've not been much help, though I'm sure someone here will be able to help you.
Hey everyone
So I'm buying the razr outright from optus and using it on vodafone seeing as my iphone 4 battery is dying and im actually just over it, and was crazy disspointed after the new apple iphone was exactly the same (forget siri and dual core) still a brick with the same screen
1. Who else is using it on vodafone ?
2. What can i do about the crappy bloatware ?
3. Vodafone text and AP settings any help ? (rather than me calling them)
4. how are australians finding the battery life? (or anyone running 3g on similar networks)
5. Root for mac ? any advantages yet?
seeing as its not the US (4g LTE) version

Hi rzr,
1. I am using mine on Telstra.
2. You can root your RAZR and freeze the bloatware with Titanium Backup Pro. Doing so will remove it from the app tray and prevent it from starting. You can uninstall it if you wish (and reclaim the disc space) but I wouldn't do that if I were you.
3. I don't know what the Vodafone settings are. My phone automatically detected Telstra settings and set itself up. I didn't have to enter any APN's.
4. This Aussie is finding the battery life perfectly adequate, thank you When I go to work, battery is fully charged. When I get home 10 hours later, with intense use of the phone at work, and playing games on the tram, I have 40-50% charge left. Not bad.
5. Can't help you. On a PC here.
can either of you confirm it wont work for telstra 4g?
edit:
guess I can answer my own question with the links below

Heres how it is for me;
1. Who else is using it on vodafone ?
No-one should be using Vodafone in Aus, its like having a musket in COD.
2. What can i do about the crappy bloatware ?
You can flash it with a non-bloat stock ROM which is what I did (SPDREM_U_01.6.5.1-167_SPU-15-M2_SIGNEuropeAustraliaEMEA_USASPDRRTGB_HWp2b_Service1FF_fastboot.xml).
3. Vodafone text and AP settings any help ? (rather than me calling them)
CAnt help there, whirlpool forums might be good for that.
4. how are australians finding the battery life? (or anyone running 3g on similar networks)
Battery life is best of all big screen smart phones I reckon (only problem is you cant remove/change it).
5. Root for mac ? any advantages yet?
seeing as its not the US (4g LTE) version
Mac root http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1342567
Advantage is on Telstra I get up to 880KBs download, Thats faster than my ADSl some days.
Good luck!

Hi mate, when you purchased your RAZR outright from Optus, did it come pre-unlocked? Or did you need to get it unlocked? Cheers.
Hey guys just bought the new galaxy S3 (sold my gnex) just wondering if anyone could tell me how to stop this annoying WiFi notification I keep getting. I tried everything I could think of. Thanks.
Hey all, so I'm using an shv-210S here in Korea, but I actually use KT service. The phone operates fine, but there are some annoying things like, not being able to use wifi hotspots on subways/buses, and not being able to receive OTA updates.
So my question is, is it possible to flash a shv-210K rom onto my shv-210S device? As far as I know, the hardware is near identical[?]. Anyway, any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
So I have a Note 4 phone on T-Mobile and want to get a tablet for my car ($10/month data plan).
If my phone rings, will I be able to answer it and talk on the tablet or would I still have to use my phone?
So afaik, there is no built-in functionality for this?
But Tablet Talk on the playstore helps.
Would be interested in anyone else's experience so I know what to expect once I get a tablet.
