Edit:
How to mod Android 4.0.3 to close apps via long-press the back button?
Buuuuuuuuump
You could try out this tweak: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1425612 (credit to super_paws)
It's posted in the Nexus S forum, but the creator states its for stock 4.0.3 OTA, with no mention on which devices it works on. So I suggest making a Nandroid backup before testing this out.
Note that it's not a ROM or a kernel, just a flashable zip that adds a few features, including the force close feature that you're looking for.
Once you flash it, you must go to Settings -> Developer Options, and enable "Stop app via long-press".
Hope that works out for you.
Thanks to you ma friend
Will test this out and give feedback ASAP
edit:
sadly it ends up in a bootloop. i will try to contact the developer and ask him.
Edit: This file is for Nexus S Stock ICS only.
Is anybody able to tell me which file i have to modify for closing apps via long-press the backbutton?
Or where i should start searching. i have absolutly no clue.
Whats wrong with the default Long-Press Home method?

There should be an option in ROM settings. (On stock ROM it's in "Language and Input".)
As I don't know the ROM, you should ask in ROM thread ... if there is one where you are allowed to post.
Alternaively you can PM one of the ROM developers.
But I am sure that there is already an answer in ROM thread ... you only have to search and find it.
God luck !

What phone do you have? If its xperia u its not supported
Sent From My JB 4.1.2 Xperia U
Press Thanks If I Helped You....
While flashing experience v 2.1, under the aroma installer where u chose the customisation, was a step where u HAD TO SELECT APPS/BLOATWARES TO REMOVE.
Unfortunately you selected Nfc in that so Rom didn't install the package.
Solution is to reflash the ROM and only select apps like Timescape, Limewire etc u don't want ROM to install.
Thanks,
J

All the things that are missing were selected in AROMA during installation .
Next time when you flash the ROM read the title of the step clearly, it says "Select the apps/bloatwares you dont want to install" .
So in that step u select the Apps you dont want to be installed, if u select Browser, NFC, Youtube, etc etc all these will not get installed by ROM.
My advice is unselect all at first then ONLY select apps you dont want, then click Proceed after selecting apps you dont want. :good: :highfive:
Feel free to ask any doubts. I am using this ROM since 3 weeks now and its quite stable and good. :good:
Thanks,
J

Hehe.. your welcome. If i helped, click on the Thanks Button
RAM of 85mb means u have not set background process under developers option limit to 2 or 3
It is all because of the efforts of this forum and developers that i LOVE my SOLA performance now. So ye this ROM is very good and stable, and in few days a newer version will hopefully be developed by the dev. You can also try Speedy Sola kernel of the same dev. It goes well with this ROM.
Best Wishes,
J

Reflash ROM means start from stock ROM ( Step 1 of the installation procedure ) This is because the first time u had slected experience rom to not install NFC so it removed NFC package from stock while flashing.
By reflashing the stock ROM u get back NFC package then u follow and repeat steps as said by the DEV. :good:
Remember you start of fresh with a fresh .54 stock ROM, and follow steps properly as said by DEV.
Best Wishes,
J

Just go in play store and look for google and uninstall it :good: its your google search app.
Ugghh, the animation as you return to home screen from cards is laggy and not fluid. I hope it's better running under lulzipop.

Google now provides the Google Now Launcher on the PlayStore. Closing this as it's obsolete, and there's threads for the Google Now Launcher around here :good:
