Hi, was wondering if I could have some help making the pull down notification menu semi transparent (50%) and the status bar or maybe some advice on how to do it and which files I need to edit. Yes I know other roms already to it, but none really to my liking. Any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance.

The status bar is transparent stock. You should ask in the thread where they have the dropdowntrans, might have better luck that way.

Does anyone have a zip or patch that makes the status bar transparent? I'm on CM7 and use theme chooser and have seen a lot of people using the same themes I am, but their status bar is transparent. Can someone point me in the right direction please? Thanks in advance

I did some googling but the few solutions I found did not work, does anyone know a good mod or app to make the notification bar translucent on GB roms? Specifically I am on Simply Honey 5.0. Metamorph or otherwise?

Thanks for the advice, I went there and was eventually able to make a pretty decent themed pulldown menu, but the only thing that didn't change was the top bar even though it was right in the example it showed before I finished it. I tried a few more but everytime the bar was the only thing that wouldn't change.
Oh well, I just can't seem to work this thing out. Thanks anyways!

decompile the apk, I think its systemui.apk and then modify the status bar and then recompile it
i recently saw a rom that listed mods to change status bar icon color. i've been searching and cant find it anywhere. can someone point me in the right direction please

I think this is what your talking about...
[Theme/mod] Sick rom Tweaksv3 11-24-11
It has various options for status bar icons and such. If your not comfortable with adding this in yourself, you might want to find a ROM that already has this cooked. I know there are a few out there. If I'm not mistaken Nocturnal Blackend has it.

Where can I find a zip file I could flash on my Defy (CM7.2 Stable) to make the Status Bar & Notification transparent? Should I try UOT Kitchen to make me one? The steps involved using Zipthemer/Metamorph and APK Tools are a bit too daunting for me, I think.

This is a transparent notification/status bar mod that includes the accurate honeycomb style battery mod!] This Mod will NOT bork your power menu
Repackaged these mods because they were causing issues for UKB users. It previously modified frameworkres, I have completely removed the frameworkres mods from the zips and repackaged/signed. Should work on any deoodex rom I have personally seen them work on odex as well.

I can work on a red one yes and also will add the gps removal mod but at this point both will overwrite the gps mods in system. Not gonna be home much this weekend so if someone beats me to it cool if not ill make them all play nice together Sunday or monday
