I've asked this question and I've seen this question asked by others and the answer always used to be "use any aosp port , aokp or cyanogenmod". Never really understood why we can't build a clean untouched aosp Rom . Can somebody answer this, please?

Thanks

If there were an AOSP rom for another xperia phone it would be easier
I think many people would like a clean aosp rom, but nobody's got time to make this full port working, because porting from another manufactor is hard...
So just use cyanogenmod :good:

I am not talking about porting from another manufacturer. How about building from source? include our device in the lunch menu? device specific files, boardconfig files etcetera.....
i don't know if this is possible and i don't have prior knowledge in building from source but if directed in the right direction i will try my level best...I grasp things quickly (at least that's what they say bout me )

This is a diff file for the Jellybean ramdisk from ICS. This is from the galaxy nexus and will have to be changed for your specific device. Some notes that are not shown in the diff are that /sbin/adbd and init changed -- These are both binaries so they need to be manually taken from the jb ramdisk.

my advice is don't bother with it. not worth time and effort put into it when we knew the end result wont have everything fully working or stable due to drm issue.
if the big boys dev for nexus s and gnex can't make fully working sense rom port, i doubt we will succeeded.
the most stable sense rom port for non htc phone i see in xda is the one for nexus s and that too is still buggy.

Zackconsole has ported sense 4, and the result is the same. Not everything working and buggy. If you really port the sense, zackconsole will misunderstood you took his port. As he said he is working sense 4 for mdpi, so you porting it will only collide with his port.

i have allready ported, but need permissions and people that want test it.
There is one thing that kinda always bugged me about custom roms, and it should be possible to fix...
When you're on stock firmware, you can just add calendar entries without having to sync with Google or an Exchange Server. On custom roms you always have to sync before you can use the calendar.
Which means, you have to install Gapps, even if you don't want or need it.
Is it possible to load the ROM with an active calendar database so it works out of the box?

Well, I don't think nobody wants to answer u but u pretty much answered your own question. The options u want are only possible with Samsung framework. The problem is.... there is no official 4.2.2 build for the sgs2 and I don't believe there will ever be one...
U want 4.2.2, u "can't" use multi window (no framework)
U want 4.1.2, u "can" use multi window ( with S2 4.1.2 framework)
Hope this answers your questions

That's an accidental typo mate. Should be 4.1.2, samsung hasn't released any 4.2.x roms for i9100 yet. If you want 4.2.x, you'll have to use a custom rom. Multi windows doesn't exist on 4.2.x, as it's a samsung feature.
What you could try is any rom with halo (will be a 4.2.2 rom) Look up paranoid android halo on YouTube, its a pretty sweet for of running two apps at once!
Edit: don't bump your own posts after an hour, its against forum rules. Once per 24 hours max.
This is gonna become a better ROM thread in no time...

No worries But, that link you posted won't have halo. That's an older version of ParanoidAndroid (that link is for version 3, the newest is v3.6 or so) and won't contain Halo unfortunately. Normally I wouldn't link a ROM, but tell you to search. In this case, it's actually really hard to find. I only found it as a result of stumbling across a link someone else posted. Current ParanoidAndroid (only for i9100) is here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2265417
Alternatively, ROM's such as Rootbox and PACman also have Halo in their latest versions. You'll have to search for those. Whatever you download (I'm not making any recommendations), make sure the version you're downloading is for your specific model (i9100, i9100g etc..). Make sure it has Halo (read the changelogs), and then happy flashing!
