Is Android Open Accessory Development Kit supports galaxy ACE. I tried install the demo but it is saying not supported.
Any way to install/support this. Somebody said kernel will help. i don't understand what is kernel. Is it root the phone?
Please help me. I want to experiment with arduino...
Thanks,
Mani

Sorry cant see anything. But I think you need Gingerbread 2.3.4 (or variant) to run it.
I already have the Gingerbread 2.3.6 updated. But still the ADK apps saying not supported.
my ACE Version details
Android Version - 2.3.6 (stock - not rooted)
Baseband version - S5830DDKQ8
Kernel Version - 2.6.35.7-perf-CL972857 [email protected]#1
Build Number -GINGERBREAD.DDKQ8
No clue man. Does this shed any light? http://tabletrepublic.com/forum/novo-7-paladin/android-accessory-mode-not-supported-1146-2.html
Thanks Bakuron for the link
At least came to know that it is having some issue with ADK.
Is any custom rom or kernel will solve this? Anybody connected with arduino?
Any other help on this....?
This is the only other Ace related post on the ADK I found on XDA: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1411487 I also saw this @arduino which suggests there are some missing support files for Samsung: http://arduino.cc/forum/index.php?P...684960db27cce&topic=73735.msg750944#msg750944
This book here suggests the SGA should work with the ADK: http://books.google.co.uk/books?id=...AA#v=onepage&q=galaxy ace android adk&f=false
On stackoverflow they repeat that Ace is viable but that you need to have the correct USB drivers; http://stackoverflow.com/questions/10186760/android-adk-supported-devices referencing http://www.microchip.com/forums/tm.aspx?high=&m=591785&mpage=1#596040
Is any other kernel installing will help?
2.6.35+ http://stackoverflow.com/questions/7256263/which-android-devices-support-the-adk-open-accessory
Hmmm..i already have 2.6.35+ (2.6.35.7) still no support. BTW..just came my ace from service center after all hard bricked my phone.
Any other cheaper ADK supported phone you know?
Well as per the list I quoted earlier:
Google Nexus S
Google Nexus One
Motorola Xoom
Acer Iconia A100
Acer Iconia A500
LG Optimus Pad
ASUS Eee Pad Transformer TF101
Samsung Galaxy tab 10.1
Samsung Galaxy S
Samsung Galaxy Ace
Apparently the Galaxy Y too.

According to who? I'm certain I've seen people saying their Ace has it working.
HOW...? Any link....
With stock ROM or Custom ROM or any kernels?
From last one month i am searching for that. I am not a good developer, so i can't dig into the coding.
These people say it's supported: http://www.microchip.com/stellent/idcplg?IdcService=SS_GET_PAGE&nodeId=2919¶m=en546070
http://www.microchip.com/forums/tm.aspx?high=&m=591785&mpage=1#596040
Also http://www.microchip.com/pagehandler/en-us/technology/smartphoneaccessory/tools/android.html Perhaps try contacting them, email is [email protected]
Noticed the only supported SGA is SHW-M240S, which is south korean version not the indian version....:-(
Hi, i'm currently new and i didn't know where i can post my question, i hope it's in the right place. So, yesterday i was so enthusiastic about getting the new android 4.0 ICS via CM9. But the problem is, i'm using Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 P7500 (3G/WiFi) and now after rooting it, it says under settings that the model number of my tablet is P7510 (WiFi), i cannot use 3G
If anyone could help me with a step-by-step tutorial how to go back my original one (or any indication), i would be very thankful the rest of my life.
These are some pictures of Samsung GT-P7500
as the title is saying, is there any way to root and/or place a custom rom(i prefer jelly bean 4.1.1) on my I9300CELH1 via odin or else?
I saw many Threads with people saying their phone was bricked by small mistakes, i downloaded the SAMSUNG GALAXY S3 TOOLKIT V5.0 from mskip but the CMD didn't show my Baseband version so i didn't do it yet. I searched about everywere but i can't find a single Thread about the Samsung galaxy S III CELH1 version. my provider is KPN, my phone isn't branded or anything, If anyone needs more information just ask, i want to flash my samsung but i'm just not sure about the safety yet.
Thanks in advance, xForsa. :good:
I have a Galaxy Trend GT-S7560 but can't find anything about rooting or modding, like roms etc.
When I search I find things for Galaxy Ace II with the same GT-S7560 number?
I don't get it...?
Why were my posts deleted without notification?
And as stated earlier, i'm also interested in this. I also have a Samsung Galaxy Trend S7560 and i wish to root it in the near future.
PS: Dear mods: if you delete my post again, at least notify me why.
galaxy trend and ace 2x are (near) identical to eachother, but completely different from the ace 2.
You could try this to root it --> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=35068890&postcount=23
Thank you for your reply.
Yes, i know they are different phones, but for some reason, Samsung is using the same designation name for both of them (mistake on their end?).
I will try this method when the time is right (a little ways further into my warranty).
Quetion: Cmw Recovery
Where I can find cwm Recovery stable for samsung Galaxy Trend Plus gt-s 7580L? I searched many times and I can't find nothing
Hello,
I'm going round in circles trying to find this. I have an old Samsung Galaxy S2 that I would like to root. The PDA is I9100XWMS2. How do I find the right kernel to use for this device? So far, all I can find is firmware.
