[Q] US AT&T HTC One X+ Sales and Deals? - HTC One X+

Has anyone seen any sales or deals for the US AT&T version of the HTC One X+?
I know it just came out on November 16th for $199 (2yr contract), but I am hoping to get a better deal soon if possible.
My searches usually return results for the One X, not the One X+.
I doubt we will see any Black Friday sales for it, but if anyone sees a sale now or in the future, please post it!
I will let you know when I see any sales as well.
Thanks!

Extremely unlikely you'll see a deal on this phone in the first week it is launched.

Amazon Wireless has the AT&T One X+ for $139.99 with 2 year contract, $549.99 no contract:
http://wireless.amazon.com/HTC-One-...=INDIVIDUAL_NEW&sr=1-1-entd&qid=1353446555306

Amazon Wireless has changed their pricing on the AT&T One X+ as follows:
$129.99 with a new 2 year contract,
$169.99 with upgraded 2 year contract,
$549.99 no contract:
http://wireless.amazon.com/HTC-One-...=INDIVIDUAL_NEW&sr=1-1-entd&qid=1353446555306

Amazon Wireless has changed their pricing on the AT&T One X+ as follows:
$139.99 with a new 2 year contract or with upgraded 2 year contract
$549.99 no contract
AT&T & Best Buy still offer the One X+ for $199.99.
Anyone see better prices?

The only problem with getting it from Amazon is that if you have grandfathered unlimited data you'll have to give it up. Even if you're doing an upgrade they make you choose a data package, and keeping your existing package is not a choice. That's how it was when I was shopping for it in December.

That is a valid concern if you have unlimited data. Also, I believe Amazon will charge you a fee if you change the data feature within 6 months after purchasing the phone.
Pricing update:
Amazon Wireless has changed their pricing on the AT&T One X+ as follows:
$79.99 on new accounts with a 2 year contract.
$129.99 with upgraded 2 year contract and new lines with 2 year contract
$599.99 no contract
Best Buy still offer the One X+ for $199.99 with 2 year contract.
AT&T now offers the One X+ online for $99.99 with 2 year contract. (I am not sure when this online discount ends)

Found out I have an upgrade! Help?

K so I didn't think I had one, but one of my lines has an upgrade and it's listing the thunder bolt as $199 online with a two year renewal. is this the same price as in the store? Or are they gonna make me do some stupid rebate thing?

Price through VZW is $249.99, assuming the website stopped being glitchy(I snagged mine for $219 on launch day). You may be qualified for a discount through your work or the New Every Two program and thus the $199 price. Long story short: It's probably $199 either way.
That's cheaper then instore id get it

In store is a lot more. Go with the Amazon pricing!
My price was even better. The Verizon website listed my price for the upgrade as $199, but when I got there, the rep looked up my account and said that my price was $149! Now I get special pricing through the company that I work for but if you get a discount through you company you might be pleasantly surprised like me.
Well I don't know about my work, but my line has an early upgrade which is showing it at $199, however, I have a secondary line with a full upgrade due tomorrow so as of now I can't view the price. I'm guessing it would be $149 or $199 online? Hopefully it's the same in store, I really dont wanna wait lol
Sorry to bump, but how many more people bought it in store, and what were the prices for what contracts? Also list any discounts you may have had please
Got Mine online for 199$ With upgrade and CVS Discount. In store they charge you way more fees. Also Normal price is 249.99 Plus tax (Over 300$) Online is best bet plus free 2 day shipping (Business days) I'd do online if I was you. Should come out to 250$ ish after taxes n such.
I got mine in the store. Paid 319 with a one year contract. I saw the thread about it being 199/229 and went on VZW online myself. I found the price and took a pic with my phone. Called the store and mms'd the pic the a VZW rep in the store. About 30 mins later got a email from vzw saying they refuned my card 96.00. Then a receipt followed in the next email.
I had the store match best buy's pricing on my DROID Incredible and I managed to still qualify for the mail in rebate... so at the very least if you find more competitive pricing you may want to see if they'll match in store...
I moaned and groaned about having the Droid for way too long now and having problems and spoke to a manager about possibly leaving Verizon. I ended getting the phone out the door, shipped for $49.99
Would it be better to get the thunderbolt on a 1 year or 2 year contract? If I do decide to do the one year am i going to be paying alot more than 249?

[Q] Best Family Plan Price for Atrix???

So,
I am about to upgrade to my first smartphone from my trusty old nokia flip phone. Naturally, android is my OS of choice and i am now deciding on hardware. Here is where it gets tricky... I am a member of an AT&T Family plan. I am trying to avoid spending big bucks while still getting a good phone. My two choices seem to be the HTC Inspire 4G and the Motorola Atrix. It seems i can get the inspire for 69.99 from amazon wireless, but the Atrix remains at 149.99. Does anyone know the best price i can get an Atrix for on a family plan???
thanks for any advice,
I believe RadioShack has them for 79.99 right now. I could be wrong but even if it goes up it's 149.99
You can try adding a line and keep the new phone for better pricing. Then just rent out the extra line. That's what i did. I charge my friend 30 bucks and only pay 10 a month for his line.

Best Buy has the atrix for 49.99

thanks so far
well,
radioshack is a bust. I am a "added line", so upgrading to the atrix would have been $200+.
I have thought about the adding a new line trick but i really don't think the person that is the head of our plan will go for that.
I am going to checkout bestbuy in person later today. They only have a generic upgrade price on their website, not different ones for individual plans, family plans, and added lines like all the other AT&T distributors seem to have. Perhaps this is good news. I will update this thread with whatever i find.
Any other suggestions in the meantime?
Costco (not sure if changed) but I had early upgrade (18month+ mark) family plan atrix for 129.99 when everywhere else was either 150- $200 for family plan upgrade
The inspire upgrade was even cheaper at like $20 bucks
I second the Costco recommendation. They do a great job, and have a better return policy. And they give a cheap belt clip pouch as well.
From one cloud to another.
Got mine at Costco for $119 back in March.. came with the belt clip(now using otterbox Defender), and a car charger which I liked.
The last time I went to Wal-mart they had the Atrix for 78.88.. And I think Sam's has it close to that price too. They just revamped their cellphone area in the two local Sam's clubs here..
Good Luck

Not sure what the sales person you spoke to was smoking. I've worked at Radioshack for 3 years and we've never charged different prices for "added lines" on AT&T. If you're eligible for an upgrade, you get the upgrade price. It doesn't matter if you phone is line 1, 3, or 5, the price is the same.
Now, we have in the past charged different prices for lines 3-5 on T-MOBILE but, well, the keyword there is T-Mobile.
EDIT (but not really, because I caught it before posting): Oh, I see what you saw. The Radioshack WEBSITE charges more for added lines on a family plan. Pricing does not work this way in the STORE. The online phone orders are fulfilled by a third party for our website, so they have their own rules regarding those things. If you upgrade to an Atrix in a Radioshack retail store, you will get the phone for $79.99.
Got mine at Sam's last week for $74.99.
Thanks all!
Thanks for all the info!
I now understand that in-store prices and online prices varry greatly and as a result will probably be picking my phone up from Best Buy, RadioShack or Sam's Club. I did all my shopping on the websites of the respective businesses which produced very high prices for smart-phones on family plan upgrades. Oh how i miss the days of Newegg and Wirefly ruling the smartphone pricing game.
I will be off to AT&T then best buy and the shack after work to decide between the atrix and the inspire and subsequently pick one up.
Special thanks to darkkterror for the insider info that cleared things up.
Awesome Result!
So,
After all the effort of trying to find the cheapest price for the Atrix in my area i bought it at the AT&T store. But wait... it gets better. I went into AT&T after i got off work to play with both the Atrix and the Inspire to help me decide which phone i preferred. Atrix won. At that point i asked the employees that worked at the AT&T store which one they preferred and 3 out of 4 had the Atrix. The deal was sealed. I then proceeded to tell one of the saleswoman that i was going to head out to BestBuy or RadioShack to buy the phone because it was cheaper at those locations. To which she responded; "oh, we do price matching!" I didn't even have to leave the store and i picked up the Atrix for all of $25 before tax. I don't even know why she gave it to me for that price, which sounds more like price-match/2.
I think the key to this story is what i overheard while i was being rung up at the cash register. Apparently stores in the same area compete for most sales. But they don't compete for most profit brought in, oh no, that would make far too much sense. Instead they compete for most devices sold! Thus making the price that they charge you for the phone irrelevant to the people ringing you up at the cash register. Definitely a good bit of knowledge to have when haggling with sales reps.

[Found answer] Is this phone unlocked to go onto AT&T?

With AT&T getting new plans apparently next month (if they are good), I may check them out since they have LTE in my area. Will this phone work since I bought it at full price?
Edit: Think I found my answer
What is your answer i am interested too friend

If you pay full retail all you have to do is fax in a copy of the receipt and TMO will provide the unlock code within 5-7 business days. Usually takes about a 24hrs though.
Not sure if you can even find a TMO One right now, it seems like they are in pretty short supply.
You can try us if you can't get code via T-Mobile. Please PM me if interested

I paid full price for 2 and they refused to give me the unlock code. they said I had to wait till I completed 40 days of service. or unless you were a member with more than 40 days of service they will the unlock code with 2 or 3 days.
they said they would unlock mine at the end of the month, because that is when I would complete my 40th day,
I was very upset, I called over 5 times, refusing to wait, they said it is computer generated, I paid $620 for each, was $579 plus tax, I told them I paid about $1300 I should not have to wait, I had them put there supervisor on, the manager, I was very pisssssed off, that really makes me want to leave them,

Unfortunately I don't think you understood what I was saying. Full retail is $650. The $580 price you paid is the discounted price "with a qualifying plan" contrary to popular belief TMO is still discounting phones to customers. One price with a plan and Full MSRP without an account or service. It is full MSRP without service in which you should be eligible for the subsidy code, not the discounted price "with an eligible plan". It is the service and discount that is causing the problem/delay.
Sorry if what I said confused you or misled you that was definately not my intention, I was just informing of the policy I am aware of. Its possible that too has changed but as of a couple weeks ago it hadn't.
I would look on the international m7 page I thought I saw a thread about unlocking the other day.

I think you have it wrong. The 32Gb unlocked HTC One is 579, which is the correct model to compare. I think that is the same as all the other 32Gb models, and i believe that is the retail cost. Of course with T-Mobile one has to pay taxes.
Full retail is 650 for the 64Gb dev model.

I don't have any idea what the 32g unlocked version cost or the 64 for that matter. I have no doubt you are right on that pricing, but the phone we were discussing was the T-Mobile HTC One sold through t-mobile direct. Which I am pretty confident of the pricing. T-Mobile also sells a locked Nexus 4 for 427 before tax. Bet you can find it cheaper through google. What I am saying is that there are 2 independent prices on the HTC One through The-Mobile depending on how you purchase it...."with a qualifying plan" and "full retail" which when this thread started was $580 and $650.

I bought one through the store, the price advertised on the internet on tmobiles website was 579, after tax came out to 620... I did join the family plan, I had to order it on the 24th through one store and they mailed it, then 2 days later another store had them in stock and picked up my second for the same price.. paid on the credit card straight out 579 plus tax 620.. the other one paid cause the mailing process 140, then paid it out when I received it when to the tmobile store and paid the rest off..
they didn't have no 64gig, att and sprint had them for 549 I believe, htc.com had the 64gig for 649. if tmobile had the 64 gig I would've bought one for me, and left the wifey with 32 gigs.. haha.. I thought that was regular price at tmobile for 579...
I didn't want the hassel of having problems cause tmobile changed one of there frequencies for the new lte.. cause 2 months ago they screwed everyone using att phones that put the phones at 2g services. I made my own s3 rom from the tmobile phone that had in the modem properties gsm and wcdma, so I used to get 4g, so I sold my sg s3 and s2 which were att models.

The only high price I saw was through Best Buy, who wanted $699 to buy just the phone on pre-orders. I did not realize that there was a "full price" listed on T-Mobile at 650. I was offered the phone for 579 if I wanted to buy it all at once.

[Q] HTC One Unlock

Hi,
In the midst of the HTC One going on sale on BestBuy, i am thinking about purchasing this phone which is receiving much praise and acclamation on this website.
But before i do so, i would just like to ask if this phone can be purchased without a data plan. By this i mean if it can be purchased without the coupled fee of 'x' per month for the length of the contract, in this case 2 years. To clarify, i was wondering if it can be purchased for $99.99 buy itself so i can use an AT&T prepaid sim.
The main reason for this is because i am living in Australia where the One is vastly overpriced and i want to get a HTC One overseas so it can be unlocked and then used in Australia.
In summary, can i purchase this from from BestBuy without the monthly fees and have it unlocked so i can use it in Australia.
No. To get the $99 price you have to sign a two year contract with a data plan.

Verizon HTC One Max $149 at BestBuy today

Hoping to take mine to them and get a price match.
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/one-max-4g-lte-mobile-phone/2882319.p
interesting; I tried to get one for several days before buying at Sprint, but they didn't have any, and didn't have a clue as to when they were coming in..Verizon wasn't an option, as I dislike them even more than ATT..
i bought online for $499 from verizon last friday and still hasnt shipped expected tomorrow so much for 2 day shipping. should have had bestbuy price match it!
Now I remember why I never buy from Verizon. They don't price match anyone. Also I missed the internal price match of $100 off and free activation from Verizon this weekend.
