I've found that a lot of people is upset about the impossibility of install your games or apps on the external SD Card, you have 32gb and you cant used them... it's a shame...:crying::crying::crying::crying:
BUT :victory: After losing my whole day on testing and research I wanted to share a simple way (Not the only one) to move the data of your games or apps from the Internal Sd to the (Real) Sd Card
I'll try to keep it simple: (You need to root your phone)
I'll do it for Need For Speed Most Wanted
Click to collapse
But If you want you can move the whole Data folder
Click to collapse
1. Install your game (or app)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
2. Run the game
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
3. Wait for the game to download the data and play it just once (Just to know that it works :silly
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
4. Install this amazing tool by slig
DirectoryBind
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1410262
Thanks dude
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
5. Open DirectoryBind
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
6. Open the menu
Menu button on your phone genius
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
7. Select "Add new entry"
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
8. On "Enter Source" You put the folder of the External Sd Card that you want to use
(For example - a new folder on my sd card named "mnt\ext_card\My apps data\Android\data\com.ea.games.nfs13_na")
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
9.On "Target Path You put the original folder where the data is
(For example -"mnt\sdcard\Android\data\com.ea.games.nfs13_na")
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
10. Check "Transfer files from target to data"
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
11. Wait for the app to finish the process THIS CUT THE DATA FROM THE INTERNAL SD AND PASTE IT ON THE EXTERNAL SD CARD :good:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
12. Now everything should be ok and you just have to check that the little icon on the left of the link is GREEN
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
13. Open your game
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
14. PLAY!!!!!!!!
Dont forget to say thanks

For the DCIM ( The camera images ) There's the option inside the camera app to chose the internal sd or the external sd ... However... YEAP :good: It works for other folders.

link2sd required partitioning on sd card which is quite complicated.. using this directory bind, there is no partition required.. simple tool..
Is there any other way to move our data folder to ext card without rooting ? thanks in advance !!

For Gameloft games have a look at this app and thread. You can also use androids built in 'Move to SD' option if you go to Settings - Applications - Desired Game.

Yeah, I use GL to SD and have moved 12gb of game data to my external SD card. Works great.
Install the app, hit menu and select move data. Select the app you want data moves for and run it. Then you can just run the game from the app or hit mount in the app, then menu and select exit and open the app from your home or app screens.

Download and install titanium backup pro from anywhere you like. Open the program and click on the options button of your phone and click on batch. You'll see a number of operations followed by a run button after each one. Scroll down and you'll see "move all user apps to SD card", click on run and you are done

Without partitioning the SD card, you will always have part of the apps on internal. With partitioning the SD card, you can move the entire apps to SD card.
I just went to gplay (marketplace) and got app2sd. Whether the phone is rooted or not you should be able to move the apps to the sdcard-ext, as long as there is enough room.

Yeah it helps in moving some apps to sd but it doesnt allows you to move all the app to sd. you may need to root you phone in order to move all apps to sd. when i used to use app2sd when i just started using android i used to have around 40 mb internal memory free inspite of moving all the apps that were possible to move on an unrooted phone to sd. I was then inspired to root my phone when i saw its possibilities

How can i make an ext part on my SDcard ???
I am using link2sd and it works like a charm. I have not partitioned my sd card.
TRY THIS
If u have lucky patcher installed on ur device, the version should be 3.9.3, first of all, move ur app or game's data (the very known com.xyz.xxxxx folder) to extsd/android/data or obb by using filemanager , now create that folder with a same name in sdcard or internal sd/android/data or obb/here, which would be like com.xyz.xxxxxx, open lucky patcher v3.9.3 goto toolbox tap directory binder, remember it will not bind the whole sdcard or internal sd , it will work only for particular directory (folder), so no need to worry, now tap on add new directory bind, no tap browse the 1st one, and show it to the path of that extsd/android/data/com.xyz.xxxx folder after that select current directory, now go for browse the 2nd one, goto the internal path should be like sdcard/android/data or obb/com.xyz.xxxx select current directory, now tap on bind directory. thats it, it will save ur sdcrd space. u can check it by setting then storage, i successfully did it in my funbook infinity having 1.5gb internal space available, plays the amazing Spider-Man2 , the dark knight rises, and dead trigger.
I have a rooted but otherwise stock Galaxy Tab S 8.4 (SM-T705) and I have a 128GB Sandisk SD card. Is it possible to move all apps (with all their contents) to the SD card? I read that even though my device is rooted, I will need to partition my SD card first before i can move all apps (with all their contents) to the SD card? Can someone please tell me how to partition my SD card? Also, if I move all apps with all their contents to SD card, would the running of such apps encounter any problems (as part of them are supposed to be in the device internal memory?)
I tried Link2 SD and Titanium Backup Pro but I could not see any such function (only native Android app2sd).
Thank you very much in advance.

for the moment not possible! Maybe in the future someone will make a rom who supports that
Gl to sd card only moves files. Apps will not work later. For example, I moved Max Payne to external sd card, and then when I launched the game, it asked to download missing files. What we need over here is an app that will automatically rout to sd card when clicked.
I tried App2SD, Link2SD and GLtoSD and none worked except for breaking Google Play, the only solution i found was Directory Bind.

Thanks, will give it a try. Weird thing, i've spent like an hour trying to figure out why can't move apps to sd...
Well Directory Bind can't move Apps it only moves folders, so you can move all the SD data and some of the folders containing the Apps but when you move it you have to leave the original folder on internal memory because it makes it impossible to delete, so you just have to delete the contents.
Anyone tried "super mount".app made by lidroid
Would this work?
I opened the script file using notepad, would you just change where it says "external_sd" to "extSdCard" and it would bind the folder and allow games to access the data from the external SD?
Just asking because I'm not sure if this would work on the S3...

It should work if your phone is rooted. There is no other way to move data at the moment. I also have NFS and Asphalt 7 and they work fine with the data moved to the external SD card. Here's a video how to use it.
I tried folder mount, it works but beware if you have an exfat formatted (if you format with the mega) sd card as it may be prone to corruption. I have now formatted it to fat32, and it seems more stable

Do a manual move by tapping + on the upper part of the app, give it a name and manually look for the source folder in the internal memory. The app will automatically generate a destination folder then tap the check symbol on top. You can do this with any app as long as you know where the data is located on the internal storage.

You can use a file explorer to see what folders are inside the internal storage. They are usually named appropriately e.g. Copilot app has a folder named com.alk.copilot.eumarket.primeumeupan in the internal storage and has all the data inside. Some apps are small so you won't find any folder for them as they are not required.
Here is a way to link folders from external sd to internal.
This is usefully for stock ROMs which have sd card emulation enabled
With this trick you can for example link Download folder from external sd and all downloads will go to external sd automatically.
Or for example you can link Android/obb folder if you have large games.
This should also work for non rooted phones(I think)
Steps:
1. Pick folder on you external sd which you want to link to internal sd.
2. Now create folder with same name in you internal sd. Its fine if it already exists
3. Download and install Android Tuner(free version will not work, sorry)
4. Open System Mgr >> SD
5. Now click on "New link"
6. Select folder you created in step 2
7. You might get a warning dialog saying that this link might not work, just ignore it.
This is tested on stock Rom Android 4.1.2. It may not work on other Android versions
8. Now select parent directory of a folder you selected in step 6.
For example if you are linking folder Android/obb, first you would select folder in internal sd
Code:
/storage/sdcard0/Android/obb
And then his paren in external SD
Code:
/storage/sdcard0/Android
9. That's all. To test just open folder you linked from internal sd and you'll see content of external sd folder.
I have Asphalt Airborn and Dungeon Hunter 4 installed and working (more than 2GB of sd data)
Enjoy

Can you tell me one thing that whether I have to move my obb files to sd card in such a way or i can paste obb directly to external sd?

Hi,
This is working great for me
Although "ROOT IS NECESSARY" because the "New Link" does not appear unless you have root enabled in Android Tuner
Works with the Free version of the app also as far as the device is rooted
Thanks,
Rajesh
Hi,
I've tried other method using a script, but I think it just renaming the InternalSD to ExternalSD (and vice-versa), and 'fool' the phone. The actual downloaded files/games still go to the real Internal SD (the phone's 4GB). Even though I have 11GB free space on ExternalSD, I can't even download a 40MB game.
I haven't tried your method above but tell me, after I do those steps, will I be able to download large apps/games directly to (linked) ExternalSD? Any games? Even those without .obb files?
P765 stock JB 4.1.2, rooted.

It does not, as Folder Mount does not allow to link a whole content of obb directory (just specific folders inside). The Android Tuner however seems to be working fine, Thanks a lot!
EDIT: However, still can't download Modern Combat 4, as phone reports about 1 GB of free storage (the actual, linked storage is much larger, but I don't know how to "make" phone think it is).
EDIT2: OK, I took leap of faith and linked ALL content of sdcard0 to externalSD (sdcard0 is located on ExternalSD/sdcard0) and, well, it worked - it made think the phone that externalSD is sdcard0, effectively switching internal and external SD (I have 16 GB external microsd and now phone reports it has about 15 GB of free INTERNAL storage).
Hope it lasts.
