Yesterday I tried to flash AndroWook Hairy Bean 1.4 using TWRP v2.2.2.0. The flash said it was successful, but upon booting up the device hangs at the Asus splash screen (the one with Eee Pad on it).
No errors are encountered on this screen. It just says, 'The device is unlocked'. I am able to access TWRP still and have tried flashing another ROM, Energy's latest JB ROM. However, I receive the same results with that one also.
I was a moron and neglected to do a backup. I did wipe the cache, dalvik cache and factory reset prior to flashing, but I also selected to wipe the system and I think that is were I f'd up.
How do I recover? I am very dependent upon this device and any help would be appreciated.

what recovery are you using? I had this problem this morning for a couple of hours. What ended up fixing it was pushing this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=34359560&postcount=5497 via fastboot and using the new twrp to flash the rom. my twrp was not getting the job done. I wiped data also with the new twrp. No problems after that.

Hi Friends,
Model Number - GT-P7510
I recently rooted and installed the CM9 ICS nightly rom using the noob video instructions (This included rooting with Odin, installing CMW recovery 4.0.0.4, then I flashed the ROM cm-9-20120624 Nightly and finally flashed GAPPS-ics).
I over clocked using the CM9 settings and everything worked perfectly for about a week, it was great. Then it just crashed while I was reading my email and began to bootloop. After reading for similar errors I rebooted to recovery and tried wiped the cache and dalvic cache, I wiped data and factory reset several times but nothing worked, always the same bootloop. I re flashed the same ROM and still nothing, after a while the boot screen would simply freeze instead of bootloop.
Then I connected to my PC, and did this to no avail. In fact it simply added to the problem by adding a yellow warning triangle while attempting to boot so I did the Oden thing again like the first time I rooted however I installed CMW version 5.5.0.4 instead thinking it might help but it hasn't.
One last point, when I attempt to wipe data/factory reset the tablet seems to freeze and attempt to reboot rather than say something like "success" as it would during a cache wipe. This maybe normal or it maybe the problem! who knows?
On that point, I would be very grateful if some of you could help get me to the point when my PC recognises the tablet so I can reflash a new ROM.
Thanks in advance,
Karl
I once got the same problem. The only thing that helped was to flash back the stock rom via Odin with the pit file. And don't forget to do a hard reset after flashing the rom. I'll just stick to the stock rom until the official update is getting released.

Questions go in the Q&A section
I think the best way is still to do factory reset, go back to the stock ROM first and try custom HC ROM until the official ICS is released.
I wanted to install a custom ROM for my TF201. So I downloaded the Energy ROM and placed it within the SD Card as update.zip
I flashed CWM and ran the Asus Bootloader Unlocker.
Then using Rom Manager rebooted into CWM, following on screen prompts I installed from SD Card the ROM. The install completeted successfully, the tablet restarted and showed the Eee Pad logo, but got stuck. I've tried cold booting from recovery mode, tried reinstalling the ROM but nothing is working. It is refusing to boot up properly.
Have I bricked the tablet, if so how do I fix it if at all possible?

Did you do an MD5sum check on your download? Also have you tried flashing another rom? And my third and final question did you wipe Dalvik cache, cache, and factory reset before you installed?
And this is more of a preference thing but I'd suggest TWRP over CWM. I've had issues on other devices with CWM but TWRP on the Prime is perfect.

I did a factory reset, then selected wipe Dalvik cache and cache.
How would I flash another ROM? I'm not sure how I can get another ROM onto the device as CWM cannot search external storage, only internal?
I was going to use TWRP but wasn't sure how to get it flashed onto the device, where as CWM was simpler. I didn't do an MD5 check on the ROM
EDIT:
Just tried using Fastboot USB to flash the official ASUS ROM(Tried latest JB and ICS 4.0.3), both write to the device okay but both fail
It says "FAILED <Remote: <>"
On the device it shows: Failed to process command flash:system error(0x170003)

IT LIVES!!!
Don't know how I did it, but I managed to get TWRP installed on it. Using Fastboot somehow or ADB. It booted into TWRP and mounted external SD card, then flashed an official JB ROM(the Prime was on ICS before) and it has now booted up fine
I will now try and re-flash a custom ROM again(a different one) using TWRP but it is all looking superb
I was worried i'd have to claim on the extended insurance I took out with the retailer
I purchased my transformer prime a few days ago and since i have root and flashed multiple other devices I figured oh why not try this one as well. Long story cut short, my transformer prime wont load any roms i flash. It has pretty much been completely wiped of everything but recovery and TWRP v2.2.2.1. I tried Flashing CM10 Nightly (which it says it did successfully) but it just wont get by the asus screen when i try to boot. I has been unlocked and I've looked at many other threads and I havent seen anything like this. Ive tried just about everything that came to mind (cold boot, reflashed twice with wipe caches and even factory reset) even tried a different rom but nothing works. Worst part of all i didnt back up correctly so i HAVE to be able to flash to boot up. =(

I would recommend reformatting your internal storage, to do this boot into TWRP and select "Wipe" from the main menu, then select "Format Data". After you have done this, try flashing the ROM you want to install and hopefully formatting the internal storage will fix your installation problems.

I just tried and it fails immediately fails and says
"E:unable to format data.
*verifying filesystems.......
*verifying partition sizes....."
I also tried rebooting and reflash afterwards and still just stays at the Asus screen. Please continue the support!!!!!!.

I would try reformatting your SD card and see if that helps if not try a different SD card.
Problem is probably that you are trying to put a ICS rom on a tablet that was upgraded to the Jelly Bean bootloader or vice versa. If the tablet had stock 4.1 on it this is certainly the case.
I'm trying to install androwook on my prime, but it has failed twice now and I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.
-I rooted after the OTA JB update so I have the JB bootloader
-I was coming from Energy Rom
-I wiped system, data, dalvik, and cache
I'm wondering if maybe I wiped too many things? Is that what I did wrong?
I got through installing androwook, and it said it was successfully installed. When I went to reboot I was just stuck on the asus splash screen. I got it to boot into recovery and I'm restoring now.
What am I doing wrong? Any idea why I can't get androwook to work? Thanks.

you should be able to wipe everything except for the location of the rom and your backups. What version of twrp are you using?

So, I got annoyed with the speed of my 4.4 ROM and tried to install a new ROM. In the process of wiping davlik and cache, my TF201 hung and didn't do anything. After an hour, I hard rebooted it. Internal memory was totally wiped (including the ROM and Gapps, naturally) and I had to do a whole dance of trying to get the new ROM onto the SD card. After I did that, and installed a new ROM, it wouldn't install Gapps with an error saying it couldn't access the /data folder.
Even though the ROM install seemed to be successful, the tablet hangs on the splash screen ("unlocked" screen). I can access TWRP still, and I get a full fastboot menu.
Am I boned here?

Where it says to get the TF300 official firmware get the official TF201 Jellybean instead.
Follow all the instructions and you should be back to stock with no recovery. Then install the official TWRP for the TF201 and go from there.
