Anyone notice that when you load up http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1921 it show that were running 4.1.1 even though I do wish we had jelly bean already we don't sadly =(.
Didn't the international version get the jelly bean update? Maybe that's why.

True that the Korean version did, but this is a forum for the AT&T version they have the mega pixel changed but the OS isn't lol, it would be weird if they were referring to the international version when talking about the android version but not the camera.
I guess this is what happens when you get several versions of one phone.

Because of the popularity of the phone, I can assure you that within the month we will at least get a beta version of MIUI
Usually see a miui rom shortly after cm gets put on the phone.

International note just got the leak, only a matter of time now.
I know this has nothing to do with our phone, but it is great news to hear that some progress with stock Jelly Bean is being made.

Would be nice to have Jelly Bean. Real nice.
I have a Korean note, but the fact that there's a leak means it's being developed for the note, and it means ever note will probably get it.
I'm gonna be getting my DNA in a few days, and I was just wondering if anyone is working on a AOSP 4.2 rom. My OG Incredible (somehow after 3 years) runs 4.2 and I really love Google Now, so I would like to stay that way if possible. Thanks!

Google now runs on this phone stock. As far as aosp, work has been started but cracking the RIL (radio interface layer) is going to take a while.

You are correct about the first part. Google now only works on 4.1.x and 4.2.x(both called jelly bean). But the DNA runs 4.1.1, which is jelly bean and has Google now.

When will the VZW Note II be getting an update? It was promised when we bought it that it would be soon updated to 4.1.2, and by this point it might as well be an update to 4.2.2. When can we be expecting an update?

I heard it was last Monday and if you didn't get it means your phone has been reported stolen and there is a warrant for your arrest. Really though why do people insist on asking this question like once a week as if someone here knows

That's how it is with Verizon.
I recommend CleanROM ACE. It's 4.1.2 and is awesome.
If your on Verizon you already have jelly bean. I have heard rumors that we may not ever get 4.2 and just go right to 5.0.

Luckily when updates do come, having to wait for the "rooted" friendly version is never too far out afterwards

Where is this so-called promise about 4.1.2 located?
Sent from my SCH-I605 using xda app-developers app
Do you know how few changes are actually between 4.1.1 and 4.1.2? I'd be more concerned with when the 4.2.x update is coming than a trivial 4.1.2 update. At least let the update have some actual substance to it.

I don't know how true this is but only 5 devices will be getting the Android 5.0.
Galaxy SIII
Galaxy S4
Note II
Note 8.0
Note 10.1
I need some more post counts but I googled "is galaxy note 2 getting official 4.2.2"
and it's the sammobile article. The second listing.

It is expected that there will be most probably no jelly bean 4.2 instead direct 4.3 update for our device in approx 1 month:laugh::laugh::laugh:
(have a contact in lg got to know it from there)
There above information may be incorrect so don't get angry if we don't get an update:highfive:
Edit:We are not getting any official jelly bean update!
Rather wrong info - why LG would do that ? It is better for them to sell new phones .

Sorry but "this may or may not happen" with no source doesn't mean anything. We already knew that we may or may not get 4.3.

I agree. We can speculate all we want, doesn't mean anything. Unless we see a list or basically anything that proves it, it's all just speculation.

some fresh news ?
post your email & LG answer here
i think if there is a update, it must 4.2.2 and Optimus L9 don't update above that 4.2.2
Would be sweet if true, but considering LG is going to release L9 II, I find this hard to believe.
LG never updates its devices. I had the P500 and it got 2.3 from 2.2 and then was abandoned. We got 4.1 from 4.0. Most likely we will not get 4.2 or 4.3 officially for this phones considering they're almost 1 year old and it's not a flagship device.
Question....
But do we have hardware strong enough to run 4.3 or upcoming 5.0?
Then Lg must update our phones...

Our hardware is definitely strong enough to run 4.3 (I am currently running it right now, its smoother than stock 4.1.2) and probably 5.0 too.
Sadly, just because our hardware can run something doesn't mean LG is required to update it. I think we have a chance though, they might give us 4.3.

To me it doesn't matter so much if we get official 4.3 or not. I would care more about them giving us unlockable bootloader support n stuff.
