I'm also be proud of my battery. Check this out:
ROM: STOCK 4.0.2.A.0.62
Kernel: STOCK 2.6.32.9-perf
Baseband: -64
I used it when I need, so some sms, calls
I got better result with advanced stock kernel than VDS kernel (modified for optimax). But 5 days.. wow
It's not so impressive, i think anyone can do that kind of results if you don't use your device frequently. I tried that several weeks ago with my Ray.
kernel: 2.6.32.9-perf
Version: 4.0.4
Firmware: 4.1.B.0.587

Thanx Web_E
Maybe a combination of options from the aroma installer decisive.. dont know for sure, but impressive result.. very satisfied.
I forgot to mention brightness, 40%
Thanks for mentioning my rom. And OptiKernel Battery is VDS kernel but with linario and init.d support.Linario makes stuff smoother and via init.d you get gpu rendering better. So if you use original vds then check OptiKernel battery
Are these results possible on JB kernels? Such as PACman? Now I got 1 day... max 2 days on battery... My maximum was 3,5 day on stock GB.

Hi
Anyone care to share their profile and voltage setup they have for setcpu on samsung s2, if running it of course?
I am trying voltage settings but s2 keeps freezing with cognition 1.3.1 so keen to know what others have set.
Thanks
Its cpu/phone specific, so what works for me may not work for you. Experiment by knocking values down by their minimum value and your phone is still stable.
That being said for the past 2 weeks I've been running the following under volt on both ninphetamine and cf-root kernels with no data loss /instability
200/800mV 500/850mV 800/950mV 1000/1050mV 1200/1150mV
Good luck
Good to see this thread. I wanted to share my setup but didn't wanted to make a thread so I will do it here. I'm not going to write alot of crap, only some pictures so you can check it yourself. Only thing I want to share is that I froze some stock apps I don't use and running processes like whatsap, bln, widgetlocker, setcpu and some other widget services. And I have no lag or whatsoever because of the underclocked cpu...

what voltages do you use for 1400 and 1600? The stock ones are good, but as soon as i pull them down, it hangs randomly.
Voltage Setup depends on kernel as you all know, and CF kernel doesn't allow it, least in KF3 it isn't there.
And there is a dedicated SetCPU thread already made before,

install setcpu and decrease it to any clock u want
You can also try no frills CPU control to set any CPU speed you prefer.

how can one overclock?
For overclocking your phone you need an unlocked bootloader. Once your bootloader is unlocked you need to flash a custom kernel with overclocking feature implemented. For example night elf kernel.
If done it can look like in my case.

what's the version v.6 or v.5 ?
Hi, i have some questions...
1) Some days ago i tried to make a Nandroid Backup by CWM touch ver. 6.0.x.x but i got the message that the systen can't mount the image on Sd.
Then i couldn't boot my phone because the system was blocked on Samsung logo screen!
I was forced to make a full wipe and i installed the apps again...
2) I have my S3 in signature and i applied a pegasusq governor with row scheduler. I tested by Quadrant app and i left this configuration.
But using Antutu benchmark app i have discovered these results:

Why have i these bad results compared to standard S3 that Antutu has into its archive?
3) How can i increase the touchscreen sensibility?
Thank you for your attention..

2) my firmware is an original international stock ver. 4.1.2 and the configuration you can find in my signature.
I setted max freq cpu at 1800Mhz and governor and scheduler are as said in my precedent post.
What can i modify to obtain better performance results?
Update: my bad result was caused by energy save enabled!
I didn't know that the energy save takes this bad result!!!
Now, after to have excluded cpu limit (max cpu freq is 1800Mhz) on energy save configuration i have over 17000 value on Quadrant Benchmark.
Further since few days ago i undervolted each step freq of 37,5mV and making a stability test by Antutu my smartphone has been restarted without finishing the test.
Only at 12,5mV reduction by default for each freq i can finish the test but i have this result:
Di you know how can i set much better to save power and stability?
Thank you!!

Hello, yesterday I flashed my Samsung Galaxy S3 (intl) i9300 with Cyanogenmod 11 snapshot build (cm-11-20140210-SNAPSHOT-M3-i9300.zip).
All is good, except that the battery life isnt as good as the stock Touchwiz 4.3. So I went through the CPU governers post here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1736168 and read all them.
But in my device, I only have 5 governers:
ondemand
userspace
powersave
pegasusq
performance

Currently I am using ondemand. I want to use either ondemandx or conservative to save my battery. Why are those not available in the options?
Also after selecting userspace I cannot get to select min and max frequencies that always remains disabled? Is there any way to enable it?
I am new to modding and android so sorry if this sounds to lame. Thanks for helping in advance !!!!

The link you provided is from HTC sensation forum. Most of the governors mentioned there are not for our phone.
Also since you have installed cyanogen only, you have only stock cyanogen kernel. To play around with governors you need a custom kernel, which has more governor choices and many more settings to save battery. Also u can overclock or underclock the frequencies.
Try the kernels present in S3 I9300 forums only. Dont wander into other phone's forums and install their kernels, u will brick your phone.

Thanks lefttobleed. Will stick to ondemand have been getting good battery life after switching from pegasusq. Will explore custom kernel as I further explore android development.:good:
I want to know one thing, with the root and unlocked bootloader i can up the processor frequency again in the newest's firmwares with Kernel Adiutor for example? As we know Sony lowered down the processor clock in the newest firmwares, but this have slowed down the phone.
Sorry for the bad english
something you can do..Xd

rise Gpu from 400 (2.99,.147 firms) to 550mhz, +25%,but will fall some times for temp regulation, but you can improve how much with temp drivers,at same time improve the overall temp.
You can activate ZRAM and Init.d.
You can touch governors and schedules, and other tweaks of kernel,fs,etc.
You can improve, easy the battery consumption without lose performance. In the test of the photo, cpu temp was 57Celsius from cold.

This is the last firmware? How do you do that?
.112 or. 128 (.100 not test but I think would be close to 37.000) 2.99 and. 147 is waste the time.I have better temp, battery life and a 30% more performance.
I prefer 112,more bloatware,but more estable

Ahh nice, what firmware do you recommend for the E2363 model?
Equivalent to. 112 in your model. The bloatware you can remove with root. But is the same bloatware that any other free sim firm.

What settings do you use in that test( like cpu governor, temp drivers, cpu and gpu clock)?
