Does this phone have that weird work around like the rezound where you can talk on the phone and surf the net at the same time on cdma(3g)

Not so much a work around as having an active 1X advanced antenna that Qualcomm Chipsets support. Thunderbolt, Rezound and SIII has it, unfortunately the DNA does not.

Under the "Communication" section on Verizon's spec sheet, it says, "Simultaneous voice and data". Doesn't that mean you can talk and surf at the same time?

Yea, on 4g at least. But 4g us everywhere so even if it doesn't work over 3g it really doesn't matter.

I didn't see that part... And true, lte is basically everywhere. It's just cool and nice to know that if I'm not in lte, that I can't talk and surf at the same time. Lol

Data & Voice Enabled over 3G & 4G - Rezound!

Just wanted to let people who are the fence know that the HTC REZOUND DOES DATA & VOICE OVER 3G AT THE SAME TIME! Just like the Thunderbolt! Those are the only two Verizon Wireless phones with this capability that I know of!

Ahh. I misread your post. I thought you meant only 3G. I made a call yesterday and it said I had 4G. Just making sure

Yea, I noticed it when I got an e-mail while on a 3G call. Made me think for a second and I pulled up Boat Browser while in the call lol.

Chicago LTE

Has anyone lost their LTE in the Chicago land area in the last few days? I was running fine. No problems. Then two days ago I lost late coverage and haven't gotten it back since

I've been ok but you may want to pinpoint your location as the Chicagoland area is quite large....
Carol stream to be exact. Nothing has change that I'm aware of. Same rom same apn. Idk what's going on but I miss my lte

I'm in the city (Hyde Park) and have noticed that a couple of areas where I usually have strong 4G I only have 3G. In general, though, I haven't noticed any dramatic changes.
I have talked to someone from burr ridge and they have no issues. 20 down still. Hmmmmm

Have you tried to contact AT&T to see if there are service issues in your area?

I'm downtown right now. Just pulled 15 down and 6.5 up on LTE.
I wish I knew how to check what frequency bands I'm using

How much data have you used?
Go over 5GB with your "unlimited" plan and your bumped down to WAP speeds on AT&T.
Well it just reset on the 21st and I am at about 1GB. Also I just got about 30sec of late after hanging up a phone call. Just to be sure H is LTE on aosp/aokp right?

I dont think H means LTE.
H+ is for HPSA+ which is 4g (really it is 3.5g)
It should say LTE.
No..on aosp it's displayed as
H is hspa+
4g is lte

Voice on 3G?

Does sprint...and the EVO LTE in particular...use voice over 3G like other carriers such as at&t?
Sent from my EVO using xda app-developers app
It's called SVOD, simultaneous voice over data. I believe the evo lte is the only sprint phone with this feature. The Samsung GSIII might but I don't know for sure.

I'm not talking about using data and voice at the same time, I'm talking about voice being carried over 3g.

If you don't get the answers you're looking for from us then call sprint and ask them yourself.

This isn't the best way to get answers. If people aren't getting what you're asking, you should elaborate and clarify.
I understood his question- and the answer is no..

I'm not sure but seeing as how this is in the q&a I think it's a legitimate question.

I believe voice is carried over 1x after doing some further research. Sprint claims that until they release voice over LTE phones, voice will be carried over the 1xrtt, or 2g network. I don't get why they do not have voice over 3G like at&t. Maybe CDMA isn't able to do so.

Has anyone else noticed that the HTC One's WiFi chip also supports 802.11ac? Pretty cool

I'm using the Asus AC router and I get excellent throughput on wifi with my One. The range is much better as well.

How good is it? I'm considering upgrading everything to AC, but I want to make sure it'll work with b/g/n devices too (my wife's laptop is a little old, lol)

Asus RT-AC66U is the best router I have ever owned. It handles everything I've thrown at it. B and G will use the 2.4GHz band as will some N devices. Anything that uses 5GHz I default to that frequency. I did a speed test with my HTC One on the WiFi and got 89 Mbps down and 16 Mbps up. I was fairly close to the router. It can reach all the way to the back of my house with only a bar or two signal loss. Newegg has been throwing these routers on sale every now and then, might keep an eye out.
Sweet, sounds pretty awesome...looks like I have some upgrading to do when my school money gets in! Lol
