Hi
I'd like to know if the tutorials (root, bootloader, roms,...) are fully compatible with the HTC One X+.
Thanks for sharing your knowledges.
Comparable to what, where are the tutorials from ?

Yes same deal pretty much but you must choose the right recovery or you'll soft brick. At&t is different from international HOX+ so you have to get the right recovery to flash SU zip and be able to boot up

OK thanks for your reply. I'll give the information to a friend because the question was actually for him.
That's possible that I'll be back

Don't flash the CWM, but rather TWRP att version found in toolkit and then flash supersu from that recovery

Move the whole toolkit folder to your root drive C:/ and try it from there.
Hello everyone,
I just got my new HTC One X+ from Telus and god this thing is fast! I really like the stock rom but I want my root priviledge back.
Currently, I have unlocked the bootloader and installed TWRP recovery for AT&T model. Now I'm wondering how I can root without flashing a rom? Is it possible to just download su installer?
Thanks
Transfer SuperSU.zip from toolkit to your sd card and flash from recovery

Hello everyone
I hope someone can help me; I've been reading some topics on here about rooting but confused whether my phone can be rooted or not as I can't still post in the development area.
I have an HTC one x+ uk sim free and would like to root it, does anyone know any good tutorial that will help me with this?
All I did at the moment is backup using the adb command line, is the backup used through that command line a full backup? I'm asking this because if something goes wrong, will that backup me fully restore the device or i need a different type of backup?
Thank you
my phone is sim freem using hasoon's toolkit, which option should I use - I believe is TWRP but confused after reading the posts

Here is a tutorial that works with HOX+ Internation version and will root your phone easily. You just need to find a ROM to flash after you followed the steps in the tutorial. Hasoon2000 even made a video to show you.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1604439
I'm aware of the video and tutoral but was confused about the option twrp etc.
I used rootboot to root it and checked with root checker,it says is rooted
How do I make full image backup,if I'm not wrong the term is called creating a rom
When I used rom manager it doesn't let me do it,it says I need clockworkmod recovery and that there's no official version for my model. What can I do now to make a rom of my phone with everything
Thanks

I believe what you said is what I did
I rooted the phone using rootbot the phone was rooted after the process as I downloaded root checker and it displayed that my phone is rooted.
How exactly would I install the clockwork recovery?
I remember using the toolkit provided in the link you gave me but after the reboot the phone shows a read triangle with an exclamation mark.
Go to this link and just install recovery http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=34173694
It will defe etly work .

Thank you, my mistake was that I didn't flash recovery, sorry still not familiar with the terminology which is why many things sounds misleading to me.
After flashing with twrp recovery I did try the backup again and it worked, now I got the backup and I think that's all I need so far.
I'm good to go with installing full rom
does anyone know good roms for htc one x+ ?
Elegancia & InsertCoin & Maximus in development
I'm thinking of using the following rom
Android Revolution HD for HTC One X+
There's a topic about this rom but I didn't find any download link; can someone tell me where I can get all the roms and their links.
Also, now that I have a backup, if I install the rom and something goes wrong, by restoring the currenct image file that i've created using rom manager, will I get everything back, included settings, apps etc. right?
I have managed to unlock my phone, but I cannot root it! I simply want to flash a ROM from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1987885
Please help me. I have rooted an HTC Vivid once before, but my knowledge on rooting is very small.
There is no need to root just to flash a custom rom, just unlock bootloader, flash a custom recovery and flash the rom. The custom rom will come with root access enabled.

1. A good way to go about rooting your phone would be to have a look around the forum, and see if any help topics have been posted. Even the most cursory look will likely get you what you seem to be looking for.
2. If you have done the above, then do tell us what you have tried, where you got to, and what error'ed out. That would help people help you.
A wrong way to go about this business would be to post a new topic in the help subforum, asking someone to help you root, without having done any of the above.

Sorry about that. I attempted to flash several ROMs and managed to somehow delete my os. I was able to restore my phone with a RUU after 12 hours of trying to bring it back lol. My phone is currently relocked. I would love to put a ROM with sense 5 on my phone, but I am worried about bricking my phone again. I tried to find threads to help me, but I for some reason was unable to find a thread that actually explained how to root, and put a custom ROM on the HTC One X+. If someone could explain step-by-step how to approach this I would very much appreciate the help.

Download and copy across a Sense 5 ROM - I use Insertcoin and its great
Just use Hasoon's toolkit to unlock your phone and flash TWRP. your old unlock.bin should work
reboot into recovery, wipe (dont format your storage), and flash the ROM
flash the boot image
Done

Download whatever recovery .img you wan't, and the custom rom.
Copy the custom rom to your internal storage.
Then just boot into fastboot and use the command "fastboot flash recovery xxxx.img" reboot into recovery and flash rom.

Has anyone been able to get the new xposed beta to work properly with the att 5.1 fw and stock rom?
I have tried the newly updated 68 framework but gets stuck at the HTC screen everytime.
Weird thing is the international guys using 5.1 ROMS and fw are able to flash and use it ..

I think there's a difference between the intl rom and stock att. Xposed works fine on intl rims like viper I thought because they are deodxed .. but I have yet to flash to stock rom without boot loop .. the more I read the more I seen ppl posting that Xposed only works with deodexed roms .. all the times I have ever used it in the past on several devices have always been running a deodexed roms.. problem is I don't wanna leave stock lol. I like the stock rom but just wanted a few extras
PS- viper has every MOD under the sun lol, why you using Xposed on viper if you don't mind me asking?!

If you are S-ON, it will work on stock odex. No workaround at the moment.

Doesn't work with S-Off.
So the zip that wipes the hrdump from doing soff worked on 5.0, so I wonder why it's not on 5.1
Sent from my HTC One M9 using Tapatalk
Also @Ph33zy I haven't seen any mention of international custom rom users with Xposed mention that Xposed doesn't work, alot of them are soff users running Android HD or whatever it's called .. could you link me to say threads or other areas where this issue has been talked about? Not many people here on the att m9 or most do not care about or use Xposed

The zip didn't work on 5.0 for stock odex/s-off (i've tried before). AHRD is deodex custom.
Xposed does not work with the combination of S-OFF and Odex. Even HTC factory S-Off and xposed does not work. There was a few comments mentioned in the M9 Xposed S-Off thread of this,
Ah I see. So we're screwed if we're soff running stock.
So if we had a deodexed stock att rom then we may be in business?

Yes or flash any deodex rom in the international m9 forum.
anyone have any expierience making a rom from an RUU? We should just make a stock odex and deodexed it would be good to have here anyway
*edit* ok I have the rom.zip but I forgot they are encrypted from htc so does anyone know how to decrypt it so I can make a twrp flashable zip from it
