The Rezound is currently on sale over at Amazon for $150........I'm up for an upgrade. Are there any drawbacks to buying from here? The options can get confusing when trying to order........
Nope, I've done it twice without any issues. Haven't lost my unlimited plan yet.

You have the standard 14 days to return it for a refund without being locked in for another two years. Even though Amazon will refund your purchase within 30 days, after 14 you will still be locked in a contract with Verizon and ineligible for discounted pricing. The only reason this would be a problem is due to the time lost in shipping.
I had to return two rezounds to them and the third came in only one day before the point of no return contract wise. If the third one had been bad I would have wanted a refund and out of the contract extension.
Other than that, ordering from Amazon was great. They replaced my first rezound over a single dead pixel. They replaced the replacement over a loose piece of plastic around the USB port. The replacements all came with free overnight shipping and according to Amazon they do not carry refurbs so all of their replacement phones are new. This is much better than a Verizon store where you will get a refurb if you have a problem.
At 150 I think you should go for it. I ordered mine at 220 and used the difference to get a multimedia dock, hdmi adaptor, and car dock.
With wirefly you can't switch the phone on the line you are activating for 6 months so for example: if you use your primary line then you can't change the phone on that line for 6 months. I don't know whether amazon does that. This, shouldn't be an issue if you plan on using the phone on that line for longer then 6 months.

I don't think they can tell if you switch lines. As far as I know, as long as the line is open for 6 months, you are good. Now, cancelling data on that line might raise a red flag, because I think that is what they earn the commision on.
I have had no problems with the 4 phones I have ordered from amazon. Great amazon CS, and fast shipping.

Ya I emailed wirefly to ask about that and they said you have to keep the equipment on the same line you used the upgrade to receive it. I always wondered how they could tell, maybe amazon is different.

I think they might be blowing smoke up your butt. I bought my t mobile phones from wirefly and switched them within 3 months and never got charged or notified.
I added a line to my account from Amazon to get the rezound for a penny, then put the rezound on my line, and a dumb phone on the new line. and I never had any repercussions from it.

so as the title states best buy price match guarantee worked in my success, that i would very surprised at!! i was shopping online sprint released me from contract using vzw prl's too much roaming they terminated me so i was shopping online at amazonwireless.com found the note 2 grey version only for 149.99 and the dna 49.99 out the door 200 bucks went to best buy asked for a manager showed him the pricing and sure enough they gave me both devices for 225 out the door i purchased the geek squad warranty. 9.99 a month per line i got it cause they give you one free battery for signing up was well worth it just for that!! and if you cancel before 30 days well then you get a battery for free and you help rep make a pinch of commision costing you nothing just thought i would share to all of those thinking that 299 was a hefty price like myself!! hope i have helped, pm me with any questions
Did you even try to search?

Verizon Note 2 150 dollars on amazon
Also anytime you are dealing with commission there are also chargebacks. So no you arent making the salesman any commission. But if their chargebacks are abnormally high you could be getting them in trouble.

uh... this is different dude, i am talking about price matching amazon wireless, but go ahead troll on my man!
The only things is I found it cheaper on dell site and Amazon wouldn't match it because they only price match certain sites...dell has it for 129 with 50 bucks giftcard and bestbuy has it for 98 Buck in store

You can get it even cheaper if you have a Sam's club near by. I got one for my wife last night with a price match from Sam's for $98.88 and then the $50 Best Buy gift card on top of that.
My best but said they don't honor online prices for cell phones upgrades. Said it came from corporate. Glad for those that got it. Remember getting my rezound for a penny

Actually... the new Price match you speak of was started March 3rd, and phones (on contract) are not included in the price match.
Right on the updated Best Buy Low Price page:

I Did the same thing!
Got my Note 2 about little over 2 weeks ago for 189. PLUS got a $50 gift card that I applied towards the cost and end result was 149 bucks after tax.
What a great way to get a phone now though.. I used to always get my phones from Amazonwireless. But now that Best Buy Price Matches.. Ill be staying local till they quit doing it.

it costs $580, for new and existing customers.
with well qualified credit or over 2 year tenure you can put $100 down and pay the rest over $20 installments for $24 months.
If you're on an older plan and think that sounds crazy visit your local T-Mobile store so they can explain it fully because it's alot better than an upgrade used to be.
Its not crazy considering a famil plan is $110 for for 5 lines now. Tmo rocks
Sent from my LS670 using Tapatalk 2
If you have good credit it will be 99 down and 20 a month to pay it off. If your credit isn't as good it will be 280 down but only 12.50 a month to pay it off. If you are on a grandfathered plan, at most you might be paying the same thing monthly that you are now, but usually it ends up being cheaper than you are paying now and you get a lot more for your money.

If you stay on classic, which we did because we have killer data deals for being customers forever, you can do upgrade pricing at Wal-Mart or Costco. It's not at Costco yet, but it's $150 for new contracts or upgrades.
The value plan seems to usually be cheaper, but if we can get the one for $50 (it's $150+tax and then the $100 rebate from htc) on a couple of our lines it's worth it to us to pay an extra $10/month.

If you are talking about the HTC phone trade in program, be wary. That program is extremely strict and if they deny your phone for any reason, you get an adjusted rebate or 0 - either way, you just gave up your phone by sending it in. In most cases, a CL, Swappa, or eBay sale would be much better.

I used to work for Best Buy, they price match phones to other "brick and mortar" retailers. At the time, they didn't price match online retailers, but that policy has changed since I left. I bought my Note 3 from Best Buy and I just got it price matched to Radioshack, $299 for existing customers.

Not every employee in every store is going to give every customer the exact same response. If you would have asked for a manager then you could have gotten yours price matched as well. Kinda ridiculous for you to say they everyone is BS'ing about the same thing! It's a well known fact that Best Buy will price match other online retailers! If you didn't know, you must not read many posts here on XDA, or any other forums for that matter. What benefit would everyone get from lying about the price anyway!? Just because you're mad that everyone else paid less than you did, doesn't mean you should say everyone is lying. Actually, that's pretty freaking lame of you! Lol

I was mostly kidding, I'm sure I will love it. It's been a long time since I've had one of the latest and greatest phones. I do love my S2 though. It's the best phone I ever had and could go all day and then some on the extended battery. Should show up on my doorstep tomorrow!
So I had seen this Cyber-Monday deal earlier in the day, but in the cart when I would add the phone for a new line of service with an existing account, I would get $169.99. So after calling the wife, and her hemming and hawing over if I should pay cash or put it on AMEX (to cover the phone), she finally agreed to let me buy it with the AMEX. I went back into the cart and added the phone again, with the same option (existing account new line of service) but the price went from 169.99 to 199.99. I contacted Amazon, they could confirm it that it was indeed at the $169.99 price on their side (with the same options) but for some reason the cart was messing up. They had me buy it at 199.99 and immediately changed the price to $169.99. That plus I had a single $25 statement credit on a $75 purchase w/AMEX for anything at Amazon during December, made it a sweet purchase at $144.99.
I got the phone on Wednesday, and I'm very glad I made the move back to Sprint. We originally had a Sero account (for my wife) that got upgraded for smartphones. Since I bought my line back to Sprint, we went with the unlimited family plan and with my organizational discount, it made the second line the same cost as the Sero plan. I'm very happy indeed.
