just install whatever Download manager you want.. then when it asks for a download, check "set default" and select the app you want. Clear defaults in settings->apps.
Similar issues faced on my device too

Hello, I am also facing the same issues that even though I have installed the ADM download manager for android. It does not ask me to select for the default download manager. Therefore, I am unable to select the default app for downloading the files. I would appreciate any help in this regards.

Unfortunately, this does NOT fix the issue with apps that use Android's Internal Download Manager and don't give you the option to add it to this Default App Manager's list. Plus even though Default App Manager Lite was last updated Aug. 2015, the Pro version hasn't been updated since 2012.
i have deleted my download manager by mistake?? is there any way to reinstall it???
ADM-> setttings -> automation -> turn on Auto interception links from clipboard. Make sure all Auto Start options are on. Make sure Only via WIFI is off.
Instead of downloading just copy download link and download will start in ADM

As the title, is there any market fix for X10 Mini/Mini Pro?
Cheers!
With ROOT,or unlocked with US SIM
Just tested Market Enabler 3.0.8 and it worked perfect after rooting the phone
I would suggest getting this http://amip.tools-for.net/android/MarketAccess instead of market enabler.

10/10 for your link ... .....
but the sdk pack will not install, so i need the marketfix in .apk format!!!
You don't need SDK, just install some file manager from Market, like "OI File Manager", browse to the sdcard downloads and click on the apk file to install it.

yes... but this is a thread about how to get the Market app onto phones that don't come with it installed. You can't download a file manager from the market without having the market available

Sorry, I thought that this thread was about enabling paid applications in Market as it was referencing MarketEnabler and MarketAccess.
Ahh, you're probably right
Certainly some carrier's X10 minis don't have the market on then at all
My UK Orange one defaulted to Orange's crapware homescreen with Orange's own shop, and hid the real marketplace and the S.E. homescreen away - I feel sorry for the poor users who don't know better and end up stuck buying apps at Orange's inflated prices!
Did you mean that you doesn't have market app?
Try to extract the attachment, copy to sdcard, and install it using File Manager... Don't forget to tick "Unknown Source" in Settings > Application
I don't know whether it'll work or not, so just try it... It's a market app from my X10 Mini

Does this or MarketAccess allow us to download apps that have been removed because they *might* be incompatible due to screen resolution etc?

Hi
I am using Go Launcher.
Recently .. I have rooted my phone and had removed voice search of Google which comes Pre installed .After that I have reinstalled it and moved the app to Memory Card.
From then i think once r twice Go Launcher also updated ..So i m not sure when and what caused this issue ..when i checked today search button is not working at Home Screen only(means it is working in Browser n other applications).
I have tried moving back voice search app to phone and resetting default values of Home launcher but it didn't worked .:-confused:
Is it the go launcher issue ??Please give some tips such that it works as earlier
Few tips from me, don't know if they'll work, but worth trying
1. Donwload Gemini App Manager, go into expert mode and find the google voice search google...try to modify the autostart options...
2. Try to reflash the stock rom (providing you're now using stock) with kdz updater. It should preserve your apps and settings (but do a backup 1st).

Re-installed an app (apk) I had previously backed-up.
Originally, I downloaded it from Android Market.
Now how can I make Android Market see it?

With Titaniun Backup, you must have root access, long press on the apk and a pop up window will appear, just select link it to market, and thats all

Tried that.
But shouldn't there be an "M" (referring to Android Market) over a yellow smiling face? I can't get that...
Try going in to Manage Applications, find the market, and Clear the Data and Cache.
Then re-open the market and go to My Apps... this worked for me.

How about linking apks downloaded from other (non-market) sources?
I wanna get updates for my other apps that I didn't download from the market. I've tried the above steps, but it still didn't work for any of the apps.

Well im asking myself about your answer and how its conected to my question....
How its a quastion for legit or not? If someone give his employs a phone and want to disable the camera?
Like in samsung fectory allowed to enter with cameras and phones with cameras? Right? Is it not legit?
Think before you answer....
Well, if the user who wants to uninstall an application from your phone doesn't know about root, titanium backup (there is an option to uninstall system apps there) etc then your best bet is to move it to /system/apps. If the app is there then it cannot be uninstalled through normal methods.
Bdw, you should've put your question in the Q and A section
Cheers!

to install an apk in /system/app , u should copy the apk using "root explorer" for example to that directory and set permissions to rw- r--r--(read write then read read ) but remember u have only limited space on ur /system directory about 500 mbs only
however u can use a launcher like apex , it has a feature to lock the desktop of launcher to prevent moving widgets or uninstalling apps from app drawer
u can also use an app like app locker and lock the installer app and settings app on ur phone with a secret code preventing anyone who doesnt know the code from accessing settings or unisnstall apps

if with that app i can lock only this specific install then all good , if i disabled all other install uninstall its not good for me.
also for using root explorer i need to root the phone move the app install then unroot the phone
can i put that installer inside the rom and flash it ? will it auto install the app when flashing this rom ?
