Rooted gingerbreae - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi!
My girl friend has a rooted (stock rom, but iirc custom kernel) at gb, now I want to move her up to ics or jb, what is the smoothest way to do that? Going back to stock to get an ota and then rerooting or can I have at it right away?
Thanks in advance!

Ok, Downloading this now:
PDA: I9100XWLQ2
CSC: I9100DBTLPO
Version: 4.0.4
Date: 2012-11-15
Regions: Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Spain, United Kingdom
It's not exactly the right one, as I'm from sweden but I can't find one that fits. Would this do or is it superimportant to get it right for the upgrade?
EDIT: The flashing instructions link is broken... what do I do?

If your mobile its carrier unlocked or simfree, you could flash any version..
In samfirmware it's available..
I hope this might help

Thank you all for the help, I ended up flashing some random ICS rom from Sammobile.com and then rooting again and flashing NeatRomLite.

You should have tried jelly bean leak it's stable bro, after rooting it we can use apps which is in s3 via cmw flash available in apps section
I prefer that and also 50gb drop box storage

You do not need to wipe as long as you do not experience any problem (this is the way I do it ). Note however: some (rare) firmware releases are "wipe releases", i.e. they will wipe your phone automatically. Therefore be sure to make a nandroid backup before upgrading.

If you are of the idea to use the mobile for warranty, you need to reset the Flash Counter. This is a counter variable that increments on every time you use Odin to flash a custom rom.
From a Rooted Rom, Download Triangle Away application from Play Store and then Reset the Flash Counter. Later download the Official Stock Rom for your model and country and then flash it using Odin (I would suggest to do a data wipe/cachewipe/dalvik cache wipe before installing the Stock Rom)

Can someone help me, where I can get a stock Australian firmware for my I9300T model?? I need to send my phone for warranty purposes so need to reflash to stock firmware. If I remember correctly the ROM that was installed on it before was a Vodafone stock. Thanks in advance.

Baseband

My s3 is running a 4.1.2 stock rom and I live in HK. I flashed a custom kernel and I got a bootloop recently. I forgot my baseband version. Is it OK to flash a random version using odin, for example another country's version. Because I don't see a Hong Kong version on Sammobile

You can try any baseband and see how it works, as long as it is for your device
