How do I disable the HTC Sync program from starting every time I plug in the USB cable from my PC to the DNA? Does anyone use the program? Can I get rid of it? I don't like it myself.
Thanks anyone

I'm curious about this too...
HTC Sync should not even launch as long as you didn't install it. If you installed the program for the HTC driver, just uninstall it and install the standalone version of the HTC driver detached from the HTC Sync manager.
...or are you asking about the Windows autoplay dialog?

Just uninstall it. Why did you even install it is the first place?

If need to root you need to install HTC sync and its drivers. Then uninstall HTC sync.

Doubt it. You've gotta go through htc's website and you've got to download the needed drivers.
I did it with out data

You can do it without data on the phone, but you have to have Internet access on the PC that you use to unlock it to download drivers and such.

Man you guys are negative; download firefox from the android market set your browser type to desktop and download all the necessary files on it.
Then all you have to do is hook up to your pc and xfer the files and follow the steps. Keep in mind it'll be tricky because certain parts of the process have you do things on the pc and phone simultaneously but if you logically take your time and do everything step by step you can get it done.
Thanks

I am running the newest mik mik ROM and after two fresh installs YouTube won't let me sign in. I got it to sign in one time and after a reboot it went back to the same error.

I ever met the same problem. But it stopped lately. Didn't do anything.
I have the HTC droid DNA. I am looking for the HTC backup app. In other words, instead of using gmail to backup what I am looking for is the HTC app for backup. I remember when I had the HTC one, someone sent me a link for the app but that was a while ago and I have no idea where that file is located...

download a app called aptoide
then once it is downloaded. type htc backup and download it from the app.
I was wondering, can you install a update if you are not rooted? I tried hitting install and nothing happens, only cancel seems to work. Would like to avoid rooting if possible and the only reason why I want to do this update is to pay via PayPal.

yes, but this should have been posted in the Q&A section. Not the "general" section.
Ah, sorry, still getting used to the app lol.
*edit* EasyEyes app was preventing me from being able to install for some reason, temporarily disabling allows the install.
