Hi everyone, I was wondering if there is a way to download a leaked version of the next version of WP7.8 for Lumia 800? I have a DLOAD Bootloader so can't install a "cooked" rom.

Well first it has to leak out, then we'll see
They says it will leaked today lets see maybe after the update we can find a solution for the dload phones
scanning navifirm and going to flash UK everything everywhere..that ROM seems to get updates first..got 12070,12072 and tango on that one quick.

Hi, My Mozart does not seem to be getting a response from HTC to tell me that the latest Firmware is available. I have connected it to Zune several times and I even have the leaked 7720 ROM installed and if I'm right this should have triggered the update process. Could anyone shed some light on this or have I missed something and I need to actually do something to install this update myself. I have listed below my phone details as they are now.
Network: Orange UK
Model: HTC 7 Mozart T8698
OS version: 7.10.7720.68
Firmware: 2250.09.13001.401
Hardware: 0004
Radio Software: 5.54.09.21-22.33b.50.10U
Radio Hardware: A.102.0.D4

Any help would be gratefully accepted.

you flashed the device with unofficial rom so there is no more support from zune for your phone.

Where did you get that info?
Zune continues to update the devices when you flash a leaked ROM, because a leaked ROM does not mean a unofficial one.
He asks for the HTC firmware update (not the OS upgrade) but i believe that update is to some phone carriers, since the no carrier devices won't seem to get the firmware update. Maybe this has something to do with HTC and they bad support...
I have an HTC 7 Mozart from T-Mobile DE and i receive the update. But with an unlocked and unbranded Mozart i never got the firmware upgrade...
Hi, thanks for the response. I have since tried going back to stock but this didn't update the firmware only software. I have also tried going back to unbranded but again still no update. I'm baffled by this, any ideas.

Hi, I can connect with Zune and it syncs ok but even looking in the settings for an update all it says is that my phone is up to date. I'm running out of things to try. Think I will go back to stock again and leave it for a while this time as this did give me a later bootloader version, as in 1.33 and not 1.30 as is the Ansar rom im using. Also no errors at all, just doesn't seem to be found by HTC at all.
Just to keep people informed.
I flashed back to the stock Orange UK ROM.
This updated everything to 7392 and also to the latest firmware.
I then decided to try flashing back to the unbranded Ansar ROM.
This took me to 7392 but had actually dropped me back down to my original firmware. So I am now on the road to flashing Mango again but with my original firmware.
But surely if I am only updating the OS my firmware should have stayed the same or are things done differently in WP7
Got it all sorted.
Flashed the stock Rom, updated to Mango Beta then to Mango RTM and now have Mango with latest firmware.

Stock rom from Orange?
I think only those stock roms from orange and t-mobile (mine was from t-mobile) are getting the firmware update. i now have the unbranded rom but no firmware updates

Hi, yes it was the stock Orange UK Rom I flashed. I believe you are correct in saying that it is only Orange and T-Mobile that are getting the updates as I was running the unbranbded Ansar Rom but no update ever came through.

so i have installed the rtm version of mango on my mozart , i tried couple times to revert to nodo with no luck , so my question is .. Do you think the rtm version of mango that probably half the wp7 user have installed would be updateable via zune etc when mango officially rolls out .. and , is there a stock rom unbranded that is fully updateable for those like my self who want to go back to nodo and wait for the official release ... updates is my main concern now

I had the beta mango version on my Mozart, I tried to restore with no avail so I just flashed the carrier specific rom from the following link.

Just run it from your PC with the phone connected and it just installs the factory version of 7.0, then it's just an update or two away from Nodo. At least it means it's updatable.
Just make sure you get the right one, obviously you need the correct radio and it will also give you the carrier specific apps.

I've bought a Mozart recently, and it's got HSPL and DFT mango installed. What should I do to go back to official route? I want to roll back to some official rom and get today's mango update using zune.
Where can I get official rom for my region (Poland)? Should I revert to OSPL?

You should have a pre mango backup made using Zune that you can reflash?

Why?! The Mango RTM is the official Mango update?? The ROM ususally contains an updated firmware too which makes it even better than getting the update through Zune..
im on 3 uk does any 1 no when the lumia 12700 firmware update will arrive is it pushed out by nokia or will it be 3 uk ?
It's rolling out as we speak. You might still have to wait a few days, since some devices get the update later than others.
What about Germany? Has anyone with a german lumia received the update?

My Lumia 800 has just been updated to the latest 12700 firmware, via Zune
(I bought the phone, unlocked from Carphone Warehouse, and I'm on the Giff Gaff network in the UK)
just plugged mine into zune getting update now so may be worthwhile checking if u have not received it yet.

If i updated my phone with CAB sender to get the latest firmware earlier. Will zune still try to update my phone? Or should i rollback to a backup i made and then get the official update for my area?

I doubt that you'll receive the update again, since the published version should be the same as the new firmware. However you can try to reset, but I wouldn't say that you'll gain an advantage...

Rollback to the backup, then you'll receive the update, as you've updated with cab sender, Zune would think it's updated. The update will arrive in the next few days if it hasn't today. So be ptient.

I'm not at home now which makes it impossible to install navifirm... besides i want to install the update through zune.

Running on bootliader: SPL-1.28.2250
Current OS Version and build: 7.10.7740
and one more:
I actually couldn't update from 7720 to 7740. Otherwise, I "Forced" to update it using cab sender and now it seems working fine..
main question: I would like to have the latest version of windows phone on my HTC Mozart. My Zune always says that I am having the latest version of OS: 7.10 (7740). If possible, I would like to avoid flashing..

If you want to update to 7.8 (that's the last version of Windows phone for the Mozart) without flashing your rom I think you have to wait a couple of months, that's about when Microsoft said would have relased the new update if I don't remember wrong.
Anyway if you decide to flash your rom, xda is already full of guides to flash (i suggest dynamics 2.0 rom, the best 7.8 by now)
hmm I don't know. But, I've never been notified for any update to 7.10 8xxx from zune.
maybe I will need to flash it.. otherwise, can I get the data(s) back after flashing? like applications and saved-games?

hey bro, any custom ROM is not official- they will not update.
there are applications available here that will enable you to backup and restore your data (apps, SMS....). contacts will restore automatically once you connect to your Microsoft account on your phone.
if you want to keep your phone stock and prefer to get the updates via zune, well.... keep it stock.
but if you want to tinker- you've come to the right place bro. explore and go crazy!
Hey guys... got a question about the "official" 7.8 update for Lumia 800.
I used the 1750.823.8858.12460 navifirm update and flashed it with Nokia Care Center. It has been running fine for a week and it still does. Very happy with it.
However, I have a question about the firmware itself. The strange thing is when I try to install some Nokia apps from marketplace. They don´t show up when I do a search but when I follow a link or a barcode it pops up in Market. But then it complains that I have a non updated firmware. A good example is Bluetooth-sharing and Ringtonemaker. But is happens with other "hidden" apps too. The apps in question are all supposed to be supported by 7.8 but I still get the "firmware not updated".
Is there any obvious reason for this to happen? Is 1750.823.8858.12460 really the latest firmware or are the apps writen for a newer, not released firmware?
I have seen this problem on several threads but no really good answer. Does anybody have an idea?
7.8 has not been officially released yet...i think after official release...problem will be solved....

for everyone i think....as ringtone maker and bluetooth share apps are only in 7.8 and its not officially released...they dont expect us to update it before they release it...so why will they release these apps for 7.5 when its not compatible...as simple as that....
