1.move ROM zip to SD card.
2. Flashtool -> fastboot ->flash kernel from zip. ( menu + Usb cable insertion will get to fastboot )
3. Then goto CWM ->install zip - select PA.
Flash zips in order as said in OP.

If you get "error 7" during istallation, reboot the phone, go to CWM mode again and reflash the zip.

Don't know how to do the installation steps

[Q] CyanogenMod 7.1 ROM installation help (Xperia X8)

Hello everyone.
I am new to Android and brought my first android device the Xperia X8 a few weeks back, having Android 2.1-Update 1.
From then on, I have been finding custom ROMS for my device, and finally CyanogenMod came up with 7.1.0 (Android 2.3.7), which looks quite nice!
So my question is, since I haven't installed any custom ROM before, can anybody please guide me (step-by-step) on how to install the ROM? I have rooted my phone and installed xRecovery. I have downloaded the ROM package from the CyanogenMod mirror network, for device Shakira.
My main concern is, somewhere I found, that people said to also have a Google Apps archive with the installation, to install Google services. Is this needed and from where can I find this archive?
Therefore, a detailed guide for installing this ROM (whether any additional files are required or not for installation) after the rooting procedure would be highly appreciated..
Thanks in advance.
you may check this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=921652
Thanks for the reply, first of all.
I came across this thread before.
See I know this is the basic procedure, go into xRecovery -> full wipe -> install custom zip from sdcard -> reboot.. This is right, right?
So as I said above, main concern is the Google Apps, for which the package I just found for CyanogenMod 7. How to install that, is there a option in xRecovery to do so?
Thanks.

[Q] Mediafire Down? HELP!

I just installed a custom rom and it just get a blank screen, I am running the sk17a and was wondering if anyone has a link for a ftf file so I can flash the original rom. Media fire links are not working..I installed the minicmsandwich_lite_final and it doesn't boot. Is this rom only for sk17i? THanks
No, you can flash the rom regardless of having sk17a/sk17i but just make sure you have the proper kernel instaled, are you trying to flash it on a locked or unlocked bootloader?
Yet again...first sticky on forum, step nr. 6

[Q] Huawei ascend y300 cyanogenmod

Hi!
I was rooting my phone and flashing recovery by tutorial on thumblr with bootloader unlock code from huawei.
I had flashed TWRP because I did all the same as in this tutorial. Today I want to flash on my phone cyanogenmod rom from modaco for example (write "huawei ascend y300 cyanogen mod" in google ).
But if I'm flashing it by TWRP it isn't working (when I'm flashing it there is an error). I have read that I must have CWM to do it, but now is the problem - how can I remove TWRP and install CWM? (Rom manager method isn't working, and when I flash CWM by TWRP it isn't working too). And when I flash CWM with unlock tools from thumblr recovery isn't working.
What can I do?
Sorry for my bad English And sorry for post without links to pages I was writing about but "clever XDA" blocked links for new users :/
If you flashed TWRP Thru Fastboot just flash A CWM image as you would flash A TWRP image
Sent from my HTC Desire C using xda app-developers app
it's working now
I've downloaded wrong ver of rom, the good version works with TWRP. Now can you give me good kernel working with CM 10.1?
And which one of this roms is the best in your opinion? And without video playing and recording issues (artefacts).

I have a y300. Can someone help me step by step how to update with cyanogenmod plz
Greetings,
I'm sorry if I'm posting this on a wrong place but I couldn't find a topic describing my problem.
I have Huawei Y300 for a few months now, and recently I installed Cyanogenmod 11 (Kitkat) on it (Root + Clockworkmod Recovery + KitKat + GAPPS).
The look of this ROM is fantastic (compared to the stock) but the performance is terrible (lag, restarts, app crashes...).
Now I would like to downgrade to Cyanogenmod 10.2 or 10.1, hopefully to get more stable and overall better performance.
Here is my procedure:
- I downloaded cyanogenmod 10.1 with gapps and placed it on my SD card.
- Entering the recovery I did a complete wipe/factory reset, formated data, system, cache, dalvik, everything!!
- Finally, I tried to flash new 10.1 but without success. As soon as I "click" on the file I want to flash, several lines of code appear and everything stops returning me to the recovery menu (later today I will upload a screenshot).
I've read on some forums that the "old" kernel install is necessary before trying to downgrade KitKat.
If anyone has the advice/sollution for me, I would appreciate it!

Cm 9.1.0 on xperia min pro mango

Hi
This is the first time I will be trying out a custom rom. Basically I would have just tried rooting stock rom but I want to go a little further. So I have picked cynanogen mod jellybean based rom.
I found the instructions here
https://wiki.cyanogenmod.org/w/Install_CM_for_mango
So before I start there are few questions I have which I would like some help with.
1. The last step of installing from zip says to use Cwm if using cm 11 and using cyanogenmod recovery if using cm 12 or newer. But the latest stable is 9.1.0 so what method to use ?
2. Does kernel mean boot.img?
3. Will I ever be able to get back to stock if I wish in future ?
4. I am currently on stock 4.0.4 is that good enough to start unlocking bootloader and flashing cm 9.1.0
5. What other issues can I expect ?
6. Should I wipe dalvik , user data and all that before I start with the zip ?
Apologies if some questions are stupid
Anyone with some pointers ?
@rajdeeprath
6.) Yes.
4.)To install CyanogenMod or to flash any kernel ,you will need to unlock bootloader.
2.)Yes. boot.img = kernel.
1.) The recovery is in the boot.img so ignore that instruction
3.) You can just go back to stock ROM by flashing FTF.
5.) Yes you will. Check Bugs and issues in relevant thread for details.
