Anyone have a slight shadow or banding above the navigation buttons ? Especially on white backgrounds like the Google homepage?

I'm not sure if it's banding or light leakage but I have it. I noticed it last night after the store closed and I'm debating on exchanging it.

If what im seeing is what you are seeing then I cant really say that its noticeable at all for me (trust me im super super keen on these kinds of things) I dont see any light leakage which is good
I can definitely confirm now that when the menu bar is present with my capacitive buttons on, there's definitely light leaking over and I can see 3 areas where the light is overpowering the black.

is there an option to dim the capacitive buttons or turn them off when screen brightness is at 0%? or how about an app that could do that?
this was also a problem for me on the evo as I would read using the kindle app at night.

Yes there is way. You need an app to do so, and I believe it is available in the market. It is called Screen Filter.
very nice! thank you very much!

I wrote the dev of Screen Filter to see if he can implement a slider to adjust the capacitive buttons, rather than turning them off completely. I guess we'll see what happens...

I think the buttons on this phone are so much nicer than the track ball on the Hero. THAT was blinding in a dark room. lol

yeah the track ball was a crazy orb of light!

On my sprint gs3 I thought the notification bar looked weird so I dled a LCD screen test app
After carefully examining a bunch of colors I found out only black has slight problems in the form of small circles
Do any of you have something similar

I actually did notice that myself. It's like small black circles but I can only see them when my screen is completely black.

Yeah with the 1/3 black white and grey I couldn't notice it

I'm still quite worried because my friend says hers doesn't have the blue tint although I haven't seen hers myself, could someone else please confirm the blue tint for me :/
I did not notice the "blue tint" in my phone..
If this helps, maybe it can be somewhere where you can tick it from settings>display
>display mode

The tint changes from pink to white to blue depending on viewing angle
Has anyone found the ability or a setting to only light the capacitive buttons at the bottom of the phone when it's dark in the room. For me it's useless to have them on when it's bright out or in sunlight buttons are dim and you can barely see them any ways. But I do like them on in a dark room or at night in the house... This might just be something I need to purchase tectiles for I think.
