1) am i right ur playing song from ur minisd? either find a way of how to increase the buffers or bite the minisd wit ur teeth
2) no prob wit act sync, no prob wit bluetooth, if u still have problem, pls refer to 1)

Ok so the Xperia X10 community has had it hard and there’s a lot of anger and resentment in the forums and all over the net. I know I’ve voiced my views with many degrees of hurt till I’m blue in the face but it doesn’t change much and generally puts everyone in a bad and defeated mood.
So I was thinking that while the amazing developers are hard at work trying to open the bootloader which would in turn bring the dawn of custom roms to the X10 what could I do to help them and the community look forward and do something positive.
So I thought rather than hug trees and kiss your neighbour why not start a thread with the sole purpose of designing a Rom in preparation for the day when the bootloader is cracked open.
I’m no coder but I can create graphic assets for UI’s and then I got to thinking what if we took a look at all the Roms out there that looked good or have excellent features that we would want in an X10 rom and from those ideas and new ones we could start the look and feel of a Rom with us in mind.
Now that would cheer everyone up surely. It could be something for us all to be proud of and for the other kitchens to take cues from as well.
So firstly lets post screen shots of things we think are ace, features we love or want, animation styles that are to die for even if they are scanned pencil sketches on paper. It would keep us occupied and give the developers some breathing space.

I love the idiea that sounds great wat ik would like to see are a few standard apps in the rom as rainy days titanium back up silent mode a good agenda msn talk pingchat and a good working alternitive internet browser.
if they could be put in the rom then we dont have to download them from the market.

Having particular apps included is always a bonus but i'm thinking about the Rom features them selves and how it works to make using the phone better or at least different.

A great idea. I hope this will lead to some great rom's. I'm new to android and xda and I only know Python and Free pascal, so I cannot help with programming, but I will surely post it here if I come up with something.

If i remember correctly jerpelea has already compiled CM6 for X10..
I would like to see the Desire HD ROM to be ported . As it has already been ported to Nexus One and the Desire running the same Snapdragon QSD8250 it should not be much of a trouble..
I was thinking that a site just like Slax builder http://www.slax.org/build.php would be amazing.
If people could choose what apps, themes etc etc then download the custom rom I think it would be a hit...
If I knew more about rom dev I would love to have a go at seeing if this kind of thing would possible for x10 android roms. I'd be up for the dev of the site.

yeah good idea, but i prefer to focus our power on bootloader crack..or kick SE insiders to make them think about better decisions...but i look back, keep further..
oh, it will be great a modaco type rom maker, u know, like u choose what u want to implement to it....

A Rom with user selectable options sounds great, also sounds like a lot of work for the Dev's as essentially the rom would be compiled by the user via a gui then installed.

I think we should face the facts of the past events and give up on SE changing their direction on the X10's software lifecycle.
In all their statements not once do they apologise for not meeting the dates they set or not be close to the expectations of the X10 owners. In truth i sense an air of annoyance that they have to make statements on their own blog at all.
Future devices will be better and not so lacking on smart phone hardware standards but that will be based on associated developer requests rather than us or the general publics want and wishes.
That’s why I thought of this thread so we can end the disappoints because we’ll create what we want.

I'm with you. A nice clean, stock ROM would be the best. Everybody can install apps for themselves (heard of AppBrain? ). Designing a ROM with pre-installed apps will be very difficult, since everybody has other tastes/likes. (For example: I hate everything pre-installed. I want to be able to choose what to install on my phone. I also hate that the pre-installed apps that come with a phone can't be uninstalled. They're just taking up precious space...)

I would pay 25,00 euros for S2U2 on my X10!! The only reason I miss WinMo...
Could be cool with duel boot on the x10i. But i would say, focus on getting a clean room first, for when the bootloader is cracked. Just with standard stuff like the browser, etc.
The CM for x10 would be amazing yes, but a custom room only for the x10, why not but good luck

really news on bootloader has dried up... and lock screen in x10 is killing me and making me break the phone...
i simply wish we had a better ROM with all those resource hogging apps out of the system.
also i simply wish we had the first key in the bottom to answer calls .. instead of lock screen... that would be really great ...
720 P recording and better audio drivers with optimized and improved bass would be a real addition...
also wish dev somehow enable 16m color...

t610-k700-k750-k800-k850-w995 all major phones from them... but those days we had se-nse for custom tunning the drivers and it was fun... but now with this bootloader [email protected] i am missing the real fun..

2-Can i pause the video while recording it like:K58Oi, W600i, W850i, etc and continue recording when i decide to?
3-Is there a video DJ app for androids?
4-On deano`s ROM app2sd comes installed but why i cant see apps on the SD card but folders with app names?
5-Can i make Custom ROMS?
6-^ Its hard?
7-Some flash sites doesnt load very well all i see is blue legos with "?" inside what can i do for fixing this (Note im using skyfire 3.0 for x10mini must be able)
8-Some online videos are laggy even when i let them load for hours how could i fix this?
9-Can the menu be customized i mean like: Erase stuff create folders for grouping items idk by editing menu.xml or changing some stuff (sorry im a noob about this i followed a tutorial for my last cellphone for making it able) Not fake way and actual stuff?
10-I cant upload a video on my cellphone to youtube it says is larger then 1GB wich is not true it just have 100 mb, alspo is there a way to reduce video zize without sacrifying to much quality?

God, so many questions! I'll answer fast:
1. No.
2. I think you mean Play instead of Record. There are a lot of video apps in the market, one must be able to do that at least.
3. What the hell is a video DJ app??? I think you are looking for a video edition app, go to the MARKET!
4. You need to do a ext3 partition, and then apps2sd will work. ext3 and 4 can't be read normally, so can't really see the apps in your sd, but you can find them all in /data/app.
5. Yes, but only based on the official rom.
6. Not that much, but you need experience in android, all kinds of it.
7. skyfire is ****, and flash doesn't really work for our phones... just loads some random videos.
8. You can't. Skyfire is laggy, that's how it works. youtube should work fine.
9. Download Launcher Pro.
10. No idea.

I just installed the GALAXYMOD from the forums of XDA by Ajajjohn. Unfortunately I m having a bit of trouble with it. It keeps crashing by saying Unfortunately system Ui is failer or something like that.
Anyone tried this??
Can u tell me how to rectify this.. its becoming really painful.
Can someone also recommed a totally bloat free modified samsung firmware where only the bare minimum required stuff is there.

U may have a point there.. but then again with the multitude of Roms and 2.3.xxxxxx's which is the best one becomes a method of trial and error..
Or if u have tried and found a stable non buggly highly effective rom with the following requirements please recommend so that I can go for it.
1) Gmail High Usage - COntinous Sync
2) Whatapp
3) Gtalk
4) Some non hd games
5) A battery non drainer that can atleast last 18-20 hrs with continous email sync on and say about 20-30 mins on call
I dont need any hubs or location services..
Please do recommend
PS: Whether I finish ten posts or not.. the same questions would be asked there too.. It really does not matter to me whether its there or here as long as I get an answer to it

So ... here is a site truewow.org this is an example of the problem if anyone can test it and tell me if it`s like that for all or just for me, the problem is that when I go on the site and try to open the dropping menus they are not active, and it only lets me copy them .... Can someone help me with this cuz it`s not just for this site it`s for many sites I use and when I`m on the run it`s bugging me out I have to search someone with android phone or I have to use my laptop which I don`t always carry with me ... Thx in advance and I hope for a fast replay

I have noticed this same inactivity with the menus on certain sites. Specifically the truewow.org site I was not able to activate the menus as I have been able to with other sites. I hold down on the menu wanted and multi-touch with my second finger on the same hand as the drop menu appears: sometimes speed is a factor with doing this. But, in general I have known this issue to be a major oversite from the internet explorer team. Unfortunately it is not just you. I also tried accessing the same site with the mobile version and desktop version settings with no avail. Now if you really want to you can use UCBrowser and use the multitouch method to access those types of drop down menus. I have not been able to consistently use internet explorer for these menus without getting severely angry. I am not a fan of the UC Browser but its all we have right now until IE gets this fixed.
