I think it is better to give them some commendation or appreciation for their hardwork in cooking ROM instead of making an statement like that. They are trying to cook ROM for some many reasons like freeing of memory, making our device more faster, and to be desirable or let say more functional and operational for all us users.
We all know that "all cooked ROM" is not "Official ROM". Thery are all modified base on the original ROM release by the Manufacturer/Distributor.
Anyway, if you have some suggestion like on what you said above, for sure they will consider that in the next version of ROM they will cooked. But if you can cook and share you own version of ROM that would be better, you can do cook your own ROM and it will be appreciated if you can share to all of us.

i soo understand that fact.... the ROM scene for Atom life has always been soo grim and ppl like our respected thread initiator who has an opinion more than an expected appreciation to our esteemed "ROM cookers" (though i dont like that term personally) ppl need to understand that they must NOT begin threads for this reason and can very well leave their comments as posts....
i would like to thank both @medkid and @TranMinhMan for their gr8 ROMS which i have enjoyed using on my atom life

Hey dude's this is the best ROM till now i have used/ flashed....
i think i'm the first person replied to PDAVIET ROM WM 6.1 CE OS 5.2.20753 Build 20753.1.4.0 for Atom Life thread....from the day i have flashed, till now i did not faced any problem with my Atom Life...its works fine even my battery 10% yesterday it was working fine till 1%...its been one and half year i'm using Atom Life...its used to shut down between 30-20 % of battery...
we should appreciate the COOK...great job dude...we are waiting for more more new ROM's from you guys....
Please encourage COOK...don't flash if you don't like the ROM...if u need some thing specific try to request for the same....

That's why my friend and I never post again our rom to xda-developers (where I studied and built the ROM for Himalaya, Atom). At box Himalaya of xda-developers, I'm used to evaluate such. So sad!
Each build will have some different fault, we have to attempt to adjust and revise everything to be suitable.
We need you have evaluation for improving for next build. That's why we post the rom in order to share everybody.
The way indianram evaluated about T2M's ROM, I don't like. The Vietnamese tradition is so. In fact, also we don't force anybody to use our rom.

hello how is everyone
i installed pdaviet last rom it was pretty unstable,, for the apps thats installed fine with me..i already have a list of cab file that work with the oem rom,, tho i asked a previous question before and searched fourm but it teadous finding answers for the atom unlike the kiaser
anyway it installed without a hitch but it would drain quicly i mean rapidly,, once over night one time even on the charger,, freezes/hangs a lot, i installed twice\ and no its not the phone it works good on oem just not with everything i would like to have and subtract
anyway questions
o2 atom life and mwg atom life is the same phone correct so i should beable to download pdaviet atom life roms correct
and is thier a certain build or os or any application that i should put on my phone before install, currently i have the oem updated build and rom from mwg support site
please tell me what is making my phone unstable when installing PD rom i really like the rom and would like to get it working correctly

U may have a point there.. but then again with the multitude of Roms and 2.3.xxxxxx's which is the best one becomes a method of trial and error..
Or if u have tried and found a stable non buggly highly effective rom with the following requirements please recommend so that I can go for it.
1) Gmail High Usage - COntinous Sync
2) Whatapp
3) Gtalk
4) Some non hd games
5) A battery non drainer that can atleast last 18-20 hrs with continous email sync on and say about 20-30 mins on call
I dont need any hubs or location services..
Please do recommend
PS: Whether I finish ten posts or not.. the same questions would be asked there too.. It really does not matter to me whether its there or here as long as I get an answer to it

1. i can see every site and open every flash video but in lots of cases the system crash or it plays slowly i believe that this happen because of ram, cpu, and the size of the site... i want to ask u if there is any way to make it faster so it can play flash videos nice and smoothly.... i understand that its a mobile and not a pc or laptop so if there is not any solution i will clearly understand... i must say too that i have overclock the cpu to the maximum level and i try every browser but with no any good effect... so i ask u if i can do something with partition or any other solution....

I know it exists such ROM for others devices, but I'd like to know if such a ROM, without any phone/3G, could be a viable option for the Optimus One. I'm not using this phone but my daughter, a 4 years old, likes it a lot to play some game, watching video, playing with camera..Disabling some unused hardware could improve battery life as well as performance. And, as phones are becoming more and more performant, older devices will be wasted. But if they can be recycled into such devices, I'm sure that kids would love them, and parents wont be affraid about them dialing 911 for fun...
I'm not a developper, But if there is one who is tempted into doing such thing, I'll be gratefull to try it.

Its pretty easy to do it .. all you have to do is root your phone , install titanium backup ... change filter to system/not-backedup .. then remove the following apps from the phone:-
1.dialler.apk ( dial pad+ network manger)
2.dialler storage.apk ( call log)
3.mms.apk ( sms app)
4.messaging.apk ( storage and settings fr sms )
Rebpot ur phone .. and voila .. u will not have any network cause the network module stops working .. battery life extended by more or less an hour on heavy usage
The phone will still be able to connect to wi-fi , access play store and do all other normal stuff
PS1:- Be sure to flash a stable rom on the phone .. if you are aiming for gaming , video and music ... i would recomend G-T-R by neko95 ... its good and has lots of tweaks for gaming and video .. + its super smpoth and snappy
PS2:- Contacts.apk ( contact book app ) is an optional removal .. in my opinin .. dont remove it .. let it be .. feed some emergency and important numbers that ur kid can contact to if she needs help or is in trouble
PS3:- No need to change any hardware .. removing the apps i mentioned earlier will disable the hardware parts easily ..

i have a live with walkman...the problem is...if i go for any gingerbread rom (cm7,miui,joyos, or even stock rom), my whatsapp dosent work properly...all my msgs are sent after 2mins...like if i send a msg at say 9:00, its sent at 9:02...and in the meanwhile i dont even recieve msgs...i recieve msgs aftr every 2mins...i cnt evn update status due to this problem...and on the other hand, if i go for any 4.x rom...everything is fine..all msgs are sent at lightning speed and there is no such problem...what can be the problem???

this looks like a whatapp-due problem, which is not solved (and probably womt bcuz android 2.X.X is outdated ) (my friend had problems too with whatsapp and facebook-msgr, when he tried out old-fashioned cm7.2 on his galaxy.. ) we switched back to ics and it was gone , he use mobile networks...
maybve u try friends sim, to look if whatsapp works better on mobile networks?
if not come to 4.X.X

ok. and yes i understand u gb is simple and good in games :good: no comparement to 4+, and everybody should use the rom that fits him as well
hmm, the problem is look: like u say u try diffrent kinds of GB rom's , we can say its not software-due, also u installed whatsapp more times(not restored from titanium etc) and may in app data ? so we can say its not a apk-problem, last what can be were provider problems but u using wifi so i cant be.......
... i have really no idea...
did have gb synchronization? and did u wipe also /data on fresh install? did us e use any apps like taskillers , greenify etc???

ME to the developers: I have a Sony Ericsson Live with Walkman (WT19i) with android 2.3. My
whatsapp works very slow, it seems like my whatsapp gets internet
connectivity after every 2 minutes, because all my messages are sent after
every 2 minutes, and I even receive messages after every 2 minutes. In
between these 2 minutes I can't check anyone's last seen or their display
picture and can't even update my status.
And if I use android 4.0, my whatsapp works very well, there is no such
problem. But due to some reasons I want gingerbread on my phone, so please
fix this problem.

We currently do not have a feature that allows you to go invisible or hide your online status from contacts.
However, there is the option to block certain contacts. Once blocked, you will no longer receive messages from that contact, and your "last seen at" or "online" status will not be visible to them.

thats really a nerve! its like nobody hasnt read what ur write u described problem very exactly, but it looks like they are giva a f**k on this, and only thought; ''hey, i dont wanna think about some GB problems, lets send him some botmail...''
this is not a cool behaiviour
and this is really crap in there signature: ''We would be happy to help!'' <-- so why u do it so whatsapp?,huh??

Hmmm...have you ever wonder if this problem is more related to custom kernel rather than whatsapp or the ROMs itself????
Some user forget that the Custom Kernel is also related in internet connectivity...some Custom Kernel (i won't mention which one) have a problem in synchronizing with FB, Games and other social app such as Whatsapp...i know this cause i have been using a couple of Custom Kernel on the same router just to see the different and i can confirm some of them do have synchronizing problem....

maybe u r right...bcoz i used the same kernel in all roms (miui,joyos and other cm7 based) as all those rom developers recommended that kernel...but right now i am on fxp kernel, and it has the same problem...and what about stock kernel?? as far as i remember, it has the same problem (i didnt use stock for a long time)...so can it b a kernel problem?
as iPusak Gaoq™ said it can be a kernel problem, i tried stock kernel and stock rom again...and yes there is some improvement, but yet sometimes there are connectivity drops...stock rom+stock kernel has better whtsp than cm7 based roms and kernels..but not yet as perfect as 4.0...but anyways its manageable...thanks everyone for help
EDIT: i noticed something..in stock rom...i cant check anyones last seen or cant send message...but, as soon as i go in my contact list and click 'refresh' evrything wrks fine...
