Tomorrow I'll be selling my Amaze. I don't want to, but the headphone jack is busted and I don't feel like carrying around 2 phones for music.
Wanted to say thank you to the Devs here (team nightmare, faux, NRG and anyone who I've forgotten) for continuing to support the Amaze even with the lack of support from htc + other developers.
I want to say thank you to Hasoon, Double0ek (sp?), madmax, mrmako, dexter & the s-off team, aj_2423. You guys were huge in making this phone frankenstein phone bearable!!
Im going to miss you guys and Ill definitely miss checking the forum constantly for updates!

Maybe the Nexus 4, even though the amaze is pretty much superior in every way (except processor + gpu) because it's so cheap

I'm not ready to play almost double the price for the AMOLED, bigger screen size and a few other features. Right now, the n4 is the best bang for your buck phone

I'll be hanging on to my amaze for at least another year. there hasn't been anything out that is miles ahead of the amaze, so when I upgrade, I want it to be an upgrade, not just trying something else out and moving sideways. Now that everything has been released for the amaze, its only a matter of time until everybody gets what they want (AOSP, AOKP, CM9/10, sense4, etc)

agreed - been an owner for almost 3 weeks and lovin' it. Even though battery sucked - could really careless.. Juicedefender's doing its job = ) btw. I do not see any device outhere that are worth replacing this device just yet. I'm gonna be holding on this for much MUCH longer.

I had the tegra 3 one X, & you will only get EDGE speed on it, everything else works. It was ridiculously slow though so I switched.

Totally agreed to this one too. lol.
I personally think that my Amaze will still do the job till at least next year.... except, if i got tired with the crappy battery life and the random shutdown (switched between three batteries and still got the random shutdown).... If not for those two problems, I would never ever think of changing phone.... Plus, I don't wanna pay extra 200 bucks for a small hardware upgrade....
Guys remember we are getting the 1900 band as well. So I'm going to wait for that then get international phones. The choices are endless when we get that 1900.

I *****ed about having to always replace my amaze so I asked for the retention department and after a few minutes of hassle they offered me a 1 s for free with no contract extension. Just go to retention ll be a lot more than customer service

Since you mentioned build quality....I guess I'll just add Im on One S #3. Each exchange done for a different reason. Quite frankly the cheesy plastic sim card cover and how easily it scratches bothers the living hell out of me...which I would say is a part of build "quality".... Oddly still on the same Amaze....and it's my daily.

Ouch thats no good. I didn't have mine long (A month) but my ex wifes has been flawless for a few months. Hasn't had the issues u speak of. Different strokes for different strokes. The Amaze was the beginning of the end of HTC. It has the capabilities and specs... and STILL MY FAV CAMERA, But Quality Assurance dept must have been replaced for cheaper labor... just my opinion

I lost my Amaze at school today and Asurion is going to send me a One S since the Amaze is no longer in stock.You guys have helped me a ton and brought me to where I am now! If it wasn't for my Amaze and me doing a million and one warranty exchanges, I would never of had learned how to make my toolkits!

Actually, it's a nice phone. I notice the speed difference between this and the Amaze. This responds much quicker. I just wish it can take an SD Card. I'm probably gonna end up selling it when there is a new HTC phone that has an SD slot.

Nope. The S3 does suck lol. My brother had the One S for a while and he loves it. I just wished this thing had an Sd card than it would be good with me for a bit

My amaze is practically brand new no scratches just cant get the sound to work I been working on it all day and I think its a no go there is no fix for this so how much would it be worth?

But wat do u mean in Love again? I never left my amaze, I still use it every day, even with my screen completely shattered lol. I'm trying to wait on getting a new phone until something comes out that's actually different than the phone's that are out right now. I'm waiting for someone to come up with something that makes me feel the same way that we all felt when we first read about the Amaze. That's what it will take to get me to leave this phone.

O and ravike, I did not leave the amaze for an s3, but I do have both. The Amaze is my personal line, & my work bought me the s3. Ha, you think I would be this active in the amaze forums if I didn't still have it lol

This.Even the newer thinner HTC phones still feel solid enough to stop a small caliber bullet. Samsung phones just seem like the bullet would pass through unhindered sending bits of plastic flying into the air.
