I *****ed about having to always replace my amaze so I asked for the retention department and after a few minutes of hassle they offered me a 1 s for free with no contract extension. Just go to retention ll be a lot more than customer service

Since you mentioned build quality....I guess I'll just add Im on One S #3. Each exchange done for a different reason. Quite frankly the cheesy plastic sim card cover and how easily it scratches bothers the living hell out of me...which I would say is a part of build "quality".... Oddly still on the same Amaze....and it's my daily.

Ouch thats no good. I didn't have mine long (A month) but my ex wifes has been flawless for a few months. Hasn't had the issues u speak of. Different strokes for different strokes. The Amaze was the beginning of the end of HTC. It has the capabilities and specs... and STILL MY FAV CAMERA, But Quality Assurance dept must have been replaced for cheaper labor... just my opinion

the phone is incredibly smooth...I didnt care about the 3d. But, I was very suprised. It is very cool. I have already set it up live my evo 4g. I can't wait to get to know the phone a little better.

I been following the sensation forums, its been pretty active and a lot of progress is being made. It too bad our 3d forums had to suffer because people could not follow the rules. It looks like whatever is done to the sensation it compatible with our EVOs.

This will be a better question to pose 30 days from now... right now we are still in the 30-day window for launch-day purchasers. There is still a frantic effort to unlock this beast and HTC is dealing with the mass of bureaucracy that large companies with partnerships and contracts must deal with.
Obviously the sooner the unlock the better...but the 30-day window is a freebie.
As long as virus is cooking them I'm happy.....

Is it really that funny and honestly trolling how bc I rather have a better phone I can care less about dev work being on this phone it just seems like they pushed out a bit to fast to me and 3d isnt all that great and after my epic kinda fell in love with Samsung. Don't get me wrong had the first evo and the shift and personally I think Samsung makes better hardware. Is that a problem for me to say I rather have the sgs2 and its supposed to be out at the end of the month for what my phone guy told me that works a corporate so idk rumor whatever but so mean for an opinion and yes I guess I will just have to man up till then or get another phone so yea

I cant remember if its in the Q&A or General, but someone asked a similar question directly to the devs, and if theyll actually get it perm rooted/s-off.
and i think 3 or more replied with a positive answer, of unlocking this machine

If it wasn't for my Amaze and me doing a million and one warranty exchanges, I would never of had learned how to make my toolkits!

It was an amaze with a nicer build quality, aesthetically sexier, worse camera, no removable battery, no memory expansion, and exact same speeds and performance.

Actually, it's a nice phone. I notice the speed difference between this and the Amaze. This responds much quicker. I just wish it can take an SD Card. I'm probably gonna end up selling it when there is a new HTC phone that has an SD slot.

Nope. The S3 does suck lol. My brother had the One S for a while and he loves it. I just wished this thing had an Sd card than it would be good with me for a bit

so what are the top 2 high end phones? i assume s3 and one x+ (and droid dna since it can be used on at&t)
My amaze is practically brand new no scratches just cant get the sound to work I been working on it all day and I think its a no go there is no fix for this so how much would it be worth?

I'm trying to wait on getting a new phone until something comes out that's actually different than the phone's that are out right now. I'm waiting for someone to come up with something that makes me feel the same way that we all felt when we first read about the Amaze. That's what it will take to get me to leave this phone.
