I been following the sensation forums, its been pretty active and a lot of progress is being made. It too bad our 3d forums had to suffer because people could not follow the rules. It looks like whatever is done to the sensation it compatible with our EVOs.

Everyone knew HTC wasn't unlocking it before release and now you expect a billion dollar corporation to drop everything for a small community of users who actually know what a s-off is and want it...and in 30 days or less... This will be a better question to pose 30 days from now... right now we are still in the 30-day window for launch-day purchasers. There is still a frantic effort to unlock this beast and HTC is dealing with the mass of bureaucracy that large companies with partnerships and contracts must deal with.
Obviously the sooner the unlock the better...but the 30-day window is a freebie.
As long as virus is cooking them I'm happy.....

Is it really that funny and honestly trolling how bc I rather have a better phone I can care less about dev work being on this phone it just seems like they pushed out a bit to fast to me and 3d isnt all that great and after my epic kinda fell in love with Samsung. Don't get me wrong had the first evo and the shift and personally I think Samsung makes better hardware. Is that a problem for me to say I rather have the sgs2 and its supposed to be out at the end of the month for what my phone guy told me that works a corporate so idk rumor whatever but so mean for an opinion and yes I guess I will just have to man up till then or get another phone so yea

I was up in the air although I don't think I was ever going to leave the e3D. But out of principale alone I was pissed the phone would not get full root. But I'm 100% back on board and convinced this is currently the phone to beat... until holiday season rolls around.

Do you guys really think HTC is going to be that dumb? They know it was the EVo 3D that was the concern. Theres no release yet so you can expect a slight push back in the release now to probably unlock them now. If not they will give the information needed. If they tricked us with that statement, they know people would be even more pissed and HTC's future would be worse than Motorola's.
People need to give them some credit and not be such douche bags. They agreed to our request so for everyone thats thinking they are just fooling us, I'm sorry but you are only sounding like a needy, greedy, ungrateful, arrogant prick.

Christmas is June is always awesome! Finally get a present for myself instead of for others lol. Although I don't know about being worried that the places will run out of phones. I remember par year when I went to get my EVO the waiting list was 3 months, and that was for the people that did pre order. The ones that didn't had a longer wait. I ended up called Sprint and they had one to my house within a week. But when I pre ordered my E3D I was second on the list and I just did it Thursday. And I've read that others are on the top of the list and there detente a lot of people on the list. That's kinda got me worried about how well the phone may do.

"HTC Evo," as a branding, must have really worked out. The Evo4G section (during pre-launch) was nowhere near as fncked up IRT all of the dupe threads and crazy ranting and impatience...I suppose HTC did real good in that regard.
As has been expressed many other times by many other people (and I won't open a new thread to say it): I can't wait for the goddamned thing to be released so the Development section can get fired up and I can hang out in there again.
I never visited Q&A for the 4G once it was released. I can only imagine that the dev community will be at LEAST as thriving as the 4G's considering the unlocked bootloader and the massive amount of interest that seems apparent given the flooding on the Q&A section with obvious noobs.

I'll cry on June 24th. That release date was way too much of pipe dream. Anyone that got their hopes up was just asking for a let down. It was way too soon after pre orders. You don't know what you're talking about. There are still plenty of devs working away at it. We have 4 Sense 4.0 ROMs in active development, countless 3.6 ROMs, and Agrabren and Co. are almost there on camera for AOSP. Toast is working on Wimax.

You don't know what you're talking about. There are still plenty of devs working away at it. We have 4 Sense 4.0 ROMs in active development, countless 3.6 ROMs, and Agrabren and Co. are almost there on camera for AOSP. Toast is working on Wimax.

Well if there were a better way to S-OFF than to brick it would be soooooo much better.

It'll honestly don't know.
They describe the evo 4g lte as though it were a "god", when in reality it just is a little faster than the 3d and has a slightly bigger screen.
I consider it a waste of money.

You will be happy - until a newer, shinier, more powerful toy comes along. That's the nature of the beast. Then there will be the "why didn't I wait" threads popping up on the LTE site.
I'm probably going to wait until htc's next sprint flagship.
We already all know what qualcomm has in store, so I already know why I'm going to wait.
Also, I use my 4g, and don't see lte in my town too soon
3,its really not a huge upgrade... lets be honest. Internal hardware is more of a refresh than a upgrade, and yes I know how fast the s4 is.

actually I'll be happy for another year when they come with their next offering...just like I was happy for the year I had the 3d except the development for the lte will be much better because there won't be any proprietary drivers withheld that keeps roms from being complete ala cm9 a year later and still no camera. Cm9 is further along on the lte and its only been out a few weeks.

No idea, I was really looking forward to it and excited for it till I went to a sprint store and tried it out for myself. I swear it felt cheap.. like If I could just crush it with my bare hands. had it side by side Nexus and felt as if the Nexus had a better screen quality than it. The only thing I liked was how they integrated the Music apps into one.

LOL, now that's funny. The E4GT & EVO LTE have better quality screens.
An unnecessary bash.
But anyway, the the development for the EVO 3D is great. I don't see why people get up in arms about it, Hell you have ICS roms out now.
Few doesn't = poor development, you still have quality developers here.

Well if I go to the 3D pictures and video directory and find that all of my pictures and video only show in 2D on the Lte then I would be sorry...
T-Mobile just replaced my amaze with a one s! I know some of you may not like it but you gotta admit that's a damn fair swap.
Is there a fully aosp Rom for it yet?
I also read bit paranoid android works flawlessly. Anyone have experience in that?

I *****ed about having to always replace my amaze so I asked for the retention department and after a few minutes of hassle they offered me a 1 s for free with no contract extension. Just go to retention ll be a lot more than customer service

Since you mentioned build quality....I guess I'll just add Im on One S #3. Each exchange done for a different reason. Quite frankly the cheesy plastic sim card cover and how easily it scratches bothers the living hell out of me...which I would say is a part of build "quality".... Oddly still on the same Amaze....and it's my daily.

Ouch thats no good. I didn't have mine long (A month) but my ex wifes has been flawless for a few months. Hasn't had the issues u speak of. Different strokes for different strokes. The Amaze was the beginning of the end of HTC. It has the capabilities and specs... and STILL MY FAV CAMERA, But Quality Assurance dept must have been replaced for cheaper labor... just my opinion
