Help fixing a big problem! - HTC Droid DNA

Ok, so I was further de-bloating the stock ROM that is in the dev section, and I deleted SetupWizard by accident, and not knowing this, I then flashed the .zip and rebooted. After booting up, I had no statusbar, no apps on home screen (but still in the app drawer), and when I try to copy anything from anywhere or push though ADB, it says it's write-only. And in TWRP, I don't see a option to mount the internal storage to my PC. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Well, thank god for ADB side load in TWRP I'm booting now, but for some reason it seems my interal storage is write-locked now. Any ideas?

[Q]How do I wipe everything on the internal SD without the screen?

I recently dropped my Vibrant, cracked the screen, and decided to sell the phone as-is instead of trying to fix it. Now the phone turns on, but the display stays black and is completely unresponsive. My question is, is it possible to wipe the entire internal SD without using the screen at all? I would like to delete literally everything since I don't want the buyer seeing any of my stuff when they replace the display.
I can probably figure out when download mode is active since ODIN shows when your phone is connected. From experience I know that ODIN wipes the phone but still leaves the previous folders and files intact in the internal SD. Would checking "Re-partition" do the job?
Another option might be through ADB, but are there any commands that I can use to wipe it? Keep in mind that I am not able to mount the phone to my computer through the drop down bar Is there anyway to force mount the phone to my computer at all?
Thanks!
No repartition won't help.
You can do it via adb. Look up "parted" command. There's a tutorial for the G1 somewhere on XDA. Should be pretty similar, I would think.
Edit: Did you have debugging enabled prior to breaking it? Also, what recovery are you using? You can access adb if you can get to CWM recovery using buttons.

I'm not really sure what recovery I had, was never too savvy with the differences between them. I was using Trigger with OverStock if that means anything. Hopefully I'll be able to get into CWM recovery...kinda hard without being able to see when to let go of the buttons
Think it's usually about 1.5 seconds on mine, if that helps any lol.
Edit: Wait...so did you deactivate debugging? If the phone boots and you have debugging on (assuming it's on by default in Trigger?), you definitely don't need to mess with recovery.

Luckily, debugging was on and I was able to access everything through Droid Explorer. WidgetLocker gave me some trouble with unlocking the phone, but was able to uninstall it through adb, and then was finally able to format my internal SD with Droid Explorer's screen capturing thing. Just gotta flash back to stock now and it's good to go!
Thanks for the help!

Deleted my only launcher.

Have searched and couldn't find anything on this.
I have a rooted Optimus V with Backside IHO CM7. I use go launcher as my launcher of choice. ADW came with the ROM I flashed but deleted it after installing go launcher. Well, yesterday go launcher had an update and something didn't go right. I'm not even sure how it happened but go launcher was deleted. In my infinite wisdom I rebooted the phone. But now there is no launcher to launch the phone. So it is stuck at the boot screen (the picture of the little green fella with green light circling him). Not sure how to get into boot to recovery when the phone is stuck at boot animation.
So somebody says to restore the backup. But any computer I plug my phone into will not recognize my phone. It does show up as "Removable disc F:" and when I click on that it says "Please insert disc into removable drive F:"
So in essence I am lost and stuck as to how to get my phone back.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Do Battery pull, and boot directly into whatever recovery you have flashed, use your keys to scroll down to the backup and restore menu, and there you go. Or you could a fishable zip launcher (one in a .zip format ) and flash that in recovery. Hope that helped!

So here's a possible solution:
1.In the zip file of your rom,add the launcher in system/app folder without extracting zip.
2.Now,enter in recovery, enable usb mass storage and send this zip to sd card.
3.Now flash this zip directly.
Hope this helps.
Yeah, I would try getting the launcher apk or zip and going the recovery route. I can't believe it let you delete all of your launchers. I messed up adw once but I was still able to get my default launcher to go. Of course I don't remember exactly how. I suffer from CRS.
Thanks to you all. My problem was a noob problem. I couldn't figure out how to boot into recovey. Once I figured that out, I was good. Thank you for the quick responses.

Can't delete files and folders - permissions issue?

Hi, I hope someone can help me with this one.
My Prime has been rooted for months now, and I've flashed dozens of ROMS without any issues at all.
Suddenly, after flashing my most recent ROM (CyanogenMOD 9 RC2) I am unable to write to, or delete files and folders from internal storage/sdcard/
I have tried flashing a different ROM, fix permissions from within Clockwork Recovery, Factory Reset, deleting with Root Explorer (selecting Mount R/W) but nothing has yet worked. As a result my Prime is borderline useless.
I am able to create new folders and files within internal storage/sdcard/ and delete them. It is just the existing files that I am having the issues with.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Google hasn't been a great deal of help!
Same here and no solution to be found yet .

I'm trying a last resort thing . I have Andrawook P2.1 and i was thinking of wiping my data completely in the Aroma installation if it worked i'll hit you with a PM .
Make sure u have the rom u want installed and back up all files and apps
Power down, boot up by holding power and volume down.
When u see more tested display let go of both.
Wait till u see the three icons
Press volume down till u get to the first icon
It will wipe the data on your internal sd without touching ur rom
After reboot and restore!
Worked for me

Help - My S2 keeps on rebooting after some update yesterday

Since yesterday my phone keeps on rebooting, i dont remember exactly but there was some update and now my phone just keeps on rebooting.
It would start with the Samsung Logo, go on to load android, and finally land at the pattern lock.
Then after 5 to 10 seconds it would just reboot without any message or error.
I tried to uninstall a few softwares like 'skype' , 'swype keyboard' , etc but no use.
What I have noticed is the phone gets very hot , it wasn't that hot before.
I tried changing the battery with another phone, switching off wifi, switching off packet data, uninstall anything I can find which is not needed, but still no use.
I have installed cyanogenmod in it and the phone is also rooted (I did both of these before a year)
Any one else having this issue ?
Recovery Mode and download mode both work fine. (The phone doesn't get restarted in these modes)
If nothing would work I have to factory reset the phone from the recovery mode. (Which also I dont know how to do)
I have some very important images in my gallery (in sdcard most probably) which I desperately need. (i am unsure if factory reset from recovery mode would retain the photos or they would be deleted)
Any guidance please.
Thanks.
You can pull those images from your sdcard with adb when you're in recovery mode.

I did the adb part and connected my phone but I cant find my sdcard, it seems as it is not mounted.
/mnt/ doesnt exist
/sdcard and /sdcard1 are empty
I tried a lot to navigate and find the sdcard but still I cant find it,
Can someone please guide me how to find and mount the sdcard to copy the images.
Then I can factory reset the phone from recovery mode.
Thanks
I don't know. What are all the folders? Use ls command in adb shell.

If I select factory reset from the recovery mode, will it clear my sdcard contents as well.
I did factory reset once from within android and it retained my sdcard as it is so will be it be the same in recovery mode also ?
Any one have any experience in this please share.
I have installed cyanogenmod recovery.
Thanks

[Q] Help! Viper DNA Rom data hidden.

I just flashed the new Viper DNA Rom only problem is I thought I would still have my DCIM folder but it shows up empty. Yet there is only 2gb of free space and there is nothing on my phone apparently. It shows 9.9gb of misc data. Before I flashed this new mod through CWM. I had the same amount of memory so I know my pictures and videos are on the phone I just cannot find them or cannot see them. It shows the regular folders as empty(Alarms, Android,DCIM,Download,etc.). There is nothing but what is the 9.9gb of MISC data? I know this rom doesnt take up 9.9gb. I want to get my pictures back. I did make a nandroid backup using CWM but it gives me the "MD5 mismatch" error as well. Please Help!
I'm having the same problem. I went into the recovery file browser to see if the files were still there, and they show up, but once I boot the system, I am no longer able to access them.
