Hi, I'm completely lost. Yesterday, i was on CM10, I decided to update it thanks to cm downloader, when i chose the zip file, it worked, the phone rebooted but was stuck on the moving image of the circle cyanogen. I decided to put out the battery and since then, nothing. I tried to charge it again, to access dowload or recovery mode but nothing. And I tried also to connect the plug cable to the phone without battery in . But nothing. Do you have any idea? Or is my phone dead? Thx
Does it boot now? Or is it still stuck at the loading screen?

Hi it doesn't boot at all. It 's like the battery is dead... :crying:
But when i try to connect the phone to the plug cable with battery out, nothing happens...
Sounds pretty dead. Sorry.
Similar cases here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1993044
looks like unfortunately. But I don't know if it's because of the upgrade with cm downloader...

Hey guys, I was using odin to flash back to stock. My GPS died and was going to try to get a replacement before I tried the hardware fix.
I went to flash back to stock using ODIN, it got stuck on modem.bin. After reading a bunch on people getting stuck here, it looked like it was safe to unplug and try again. I unplugged and now my phone will not turn on at all. Simply a black screen... no recovery, no download mode, no battery status when plugged in. Nothing.
I need some ideas here!
Thanks!!!
This worked for me in similar situations: Pull the battery, plug-in the usb cable, do the three-finger thing (or two finger or whatever works with your boot-loader) and then put in the battery and hope.
guyzz, I flashed the official JB 4.1.2 firmware via odin in my SGS2, everything went just fine....even odin showed PASS
phone rebooted succesfully but in order to restart the fone to get into recovery mode, i removed battery after unplugging it from usb,. Now the phone is not turning on, not getting either into recovery or download mode. But when i insert usb/charger into it, it shows charging sign but with showing sometimes empty battery, sometimes full battery.
what should i do?
Pls help guyss

I have an um-rooted samsung galaxy player 3.6 (running gingerbread 2.3.6) I was browsing an app when suddenly it crashed! the battery was low, so at first I thought to plug it in, but before I did, I noticed that it was rebooting every 4-5 seconds. plugged it in, took out battery, tried putting in recovery (put bat. back in, hold power and both volume buttons) but it vibrates and just goes back into boot loop. it pops up with the samsung logo, stays for 3 or so seconds, screen goes dark, then it does it again.
I have been messing with it. when it starts booting, my computer recognizes it as OMAP3630 which google has told me is the name of the processor. It tries to install drivers but fails due to "umplugged device" when it turns off
Weird! If you have data to recover try using adb logcat to see what's going on. Otherwise reflash with Odin. I have only experienced this problem when using heimdall to flash my us yp-gs1, but it happens right after flashing.
What app were you using when it happened?

a Forum app. It has not been flashed either. it is all stock 2.3.6 gingerbread. if i put the battery in then plug it in (without hitting any power buttons) it goes to a loading circle (that does not move at all) and just stays there. the computer does not recognize it in this state. its only 3 months old, but I have no idea where the recipt is!
weird! im sticking with my answer tho, if you want to fix it then put it in download mode and flash it
if you cant get to download mode then buy a $2 usb jig
Tried it! no luck. got it in download mode. ran odin and It said pass! BUT it only took 3 seconds? and then instead of flashing just samsung then rebooting, it started flashing samsung with a caution symbol under it and rebooting. went to do it again and it says suctom binary current binary:custom. so it seems it worked but did not fix my problem
Did you flash normalboot and factoryfs both?

I had a similar problem with the galaxy player 5.0. Took out my micro sd card from it and somehow that worked. Hasn't gone on any reboot cycle since.
I was gonna try the fs whatever one, but now i cannot get my computer to recognize it! i tried another factory reset and that didnt help. i got it to work once. Guess I will have to keep trying? I got school so I cant do it now (16, junior in High school)
yep you'll need to get to download mode to flash it. like i said before, a $2 usb jig will always do the trick (i loooove mine)
I dont have any problem getting it into download mode, my problem is getting the computer to recognize it. gonna have to try it on a dif computer I guess, which is weird, because I got it to work once, but now it wont. I flashed the normalboot the first time, what did i do wrong? should I have flashed the other (fs or whatever is is) one instead? thanks for the help!
When I'm in a bootloop after heimdall testing I need to flash factoryfs. For you I would say flash both. Try another cable/ try another USB port

Recently, my phone randomly rebooted and was stuck at the Vibrant logo and would not progress. So I used Odin to try to recover back to stock, but it is not working. Odin says that the phone was flashed properly and gives the "Pass" message. But the phone still does not boot. The phone can get into download mode, but not recovery.
Problem:
Phone boots past the "Galaxy S" logo, goes to the "Vibrant logo" and them immediately shuts off.
For some reason, the "Charging Battery" gif keeps looping when the phone is plugged in, as if the phone was continually being un-plugged and re-plugged. But I know this is not a battery connection problem, because the phone remains turned on in download mode.
I have tried Odin and Heimdall to no effect, and I would appreciate any help that I get.
Thanks in advance.

you might try a different cable.
I had the same thing happen with the charging symbol and it turned out to be a bad cable.
it would transfer data ok for the most part, just a bit sporadically slow, but the charging always did that weird looping thing.
I used a new cable and it was fine.
it might not be the same issue but it might be worth a shot.

This did not work. I tried with 4 different cables, and the phone still won't boot.
Thanks for trying.
Does it work before? If so deinstall the drivers, plug in another USB port and install the drivers again.

Yep, I did all that. Nothing worked. But I got it fixed now.
For future reference:
When using CM10, my Vibrant got a corrupted Internal SD. No ROM boots except for Eugene's Froyo.
Hello everyone
I have a few years old Galaxy S2 9100 that had the original firmware and rooted. The battery was about 20% and it restarted by itself and was stuck on the Samsung logo. I tried to make it work by no hope. I then tried to enter recovery mode but it gave me an error. I then entered download mode and tried to reflash original firmware through Odin but it was stuck at around 40%. I did it again and same thing happened. After that it was completely dead and won't turn on. I can't enter download or recovery mode. When I connect to computer, it gives nothing. When I plug it into the charger, it becomes hot on the top but nothing appears. Any help is highly appreciated. Thanks
Well

Try this:
- Take the battery out
- Fully Charge the battery via any battery charging device
- Place the battery back
And check if it's turning on -=-=-=-=-=-
If yes:
- Check if PC recognizes device i.e. USB port is working now or not
- Go to download mode if it's working and do the odin flashing with fresh files and right settings
- And if it's due to the odin flashing prob from your side, try sideloading custom rom and flash it.
If no:
- Go to service centre
Well, this is just me, maybe wait for other comments too.
Try this:
Find a way to fully recharge the battery. Then, reboot into recovery regardless if it's stock or custom and wipe data completely. Then reboot. It will take sometime but the phone should reboot to factory default. Be patient! If this fails, you need not worry. Just repost here ok

Thanks all for your input. Currently it does not go into recovery. Do you think if the battery is full charged it will?
Try charging the battery. What have you got to lose?

Actually I went to a phone shop and tried a new battery which usually contains some charge and it did not help. I will leave it overnight in the charger and see. Thxs
Try other battery...or try usb jig.
You might want to try a USB jig. It is like a usb flash drive. Its job is to put your phone into download mode. You can order it from amazon for about 3 bucks

I also had the same problem. The USB jig resolved it in 2 seconds

Was it exactly the same problem as mine? I mean dead phone with no response whatsoever?
I tried the USB jig and did not help. Maybe it needs the battery to be fully charged?
