Hi Guys,
I'm currently using the Leaked JB with Philz Kernel and I'm loving it I just want to know if you can help me make it look like the screenshot below
My current screen looks like this
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
I'm looking for something like this:
Basically I want the following:
1) Lock screen to look like the one above (Not the default lock screen)
2) Cyan colour battery logo and text on the status bar
3) Black background (I think this is simple I can just create a black png and save it)
What is my most resource friendly way to go about doing this?

Are you talking about the menu has black text that you can't see now?
This framework-res.apk I updated to give it the black menu text if you want to put it in your theme to fix that problem.

Apk manager was just being gay last night.... it's fixed. Uploading now.
The menu > more text was white on white... Just noticed today. It's fixed.
edit: The lines in the menu are back now too... Just re download and it should be good now.

And I just gotta ask, but wasn't the D1 vanilla AOSP? So wouldn't this be stock ROM? Just busting balls, this makes it more noticeable.
GummyJAR comes themed with the Gingerbread look... which I hate.
Which is why I made this. Vanilla look > all in my opinion
Updated for GummyJAR 2.5. Link in the first post.

Does anyone have a mirror link for the vanilla gummyjar 2.5 theme?
Wasn't sure the right place for this question, but I've noticed that many of the themes use a custom font for the status bar clock.
How would I go about changing the font? Would prefer the stock honeycomb clock font instead of the TouchWiz look. I tried this method in reverse, but couldn't determine which font Samsung uses.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks, Kav
ill stand corrected as i havnt actually tried this befor but in system/app/systemui.apk/assets/fonts theres some fonts called android clock give it a go
Thanks! So I guess this means I need to learn how to unpack/repackage an apk. Then do I need to reinstall it?
yarr well this has given me the idea and im gona try change the fonts on my theme for the next version so if you want you can send me the font you want and ill have a fiddle tonight and see if i can get it working

I was afraid of that. I assume that each theme here is created/locked to a particular ROM as well? (I'm using the Overcome ROM at the moment.)
Hi,
I'm working on making a theme for the Samsung Galaxy S and one of the things I've been looking to do recently is to change the text colour of the notifications in the pull down menu. So I edited some of the XMLs and it seemed to work...almost. Here's a screenshot below of what I've done so far for reference:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
The media scanning entry here shows what I can only assume is black text where in fact everything else as far as I can see is the green colour I intended it to be [#ffa4c639]. I can't seem to figure out why this is. Here's a list of the XML files I've modified so far to get to where I am:
framework-res.apk
/res/layout/status_bar_latest_event_content.xml
SystemUI.apk
/res/layout/status_bar_call_ongoing.xml
/res/layout/status_bar_expanded.xml
/res/layout/status_bar_icon.xml
/res/layout/status_bar_latest_event.xml
Have I missed something out from this list? If you need me to include anything else here just let me know .
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks .

THat covers the normal but alot of apps dont refer to those color codes and instead use ones defined by the app its self. Reason that dark menu themes will always have black on black issues with some apps.
I would find the apk that controls the media scanner and decompile it and look inside that

I'd like to have the statusbar at the bottom of the screen like this:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",

"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Is this possible by editing some xml stuff in the systemUI.apk or framework-res.apk? I am using the stock rom and dont want to flash a custom rom.
While researching for this topic I found answers that this is just the tablet mode. But I dont want the tablet mode, I just want the phone mode with the statusbar at the bottom.
Any hints how I can achieve that would be great

I don't know how but i'm just adding my take on this, Even if you got the status bar on the bottom by xml editing, You'd need to edit more things also because the status bar would pull down still and wouldn't pull up automatically .
this would be awesome especially for those who have large screens and difficult to deal with the top of the screen , no such things like this? any app even? for nougat?

I would love to have my statusbar on bottom with
notification blind expanding UPWARD instead of down.) statusbar can sit just above the navbar or beside soft keys.
I tried XUtilities mod after reading about this option but I'm on an LG Optimus F7 stock 4.1.2 JB Custom Kernel (Freedom lite) and it doesn't work.
I've tried modding "LGSystemUi" before, but lost Statusbar and Navbar after putting modded apk back, so DEFINITELY need very concise step by step. OOOOOR if someone is feeling very charitable,
I would happily upload/link my LGSystemUi and or Framework-res apk's for one with skills FAR above MY paygrade to do the edits.
Whoever answers my call for help, thank you eternally, in advance!

P.S.
Here are my SystemUI and Framework-res If someone can do this. (NOT holding my breath but HEY, you never KNOW, right?)

They're not in the regular android framework, they're in the touchwiz framework. (TW_framework-res or something)

Technically that would mean that you mustn't uninstall TouchWiz ?

There is no way you can uninstall TouchWiz just like that. Do note that I am referring to the TouhchWiz framework, not the launcher SecLauncher2.apk (TouchWiz Home)
Have a look in settings.apk or secsettings.apk
Can't remember what TW uses
Edit.. Scratch that, you're looking for the background images, not the text? As shawty says, twframework-res.apk
Edit2.. Look for tw_list_section_divider_holo_light.9.png / tw_list_section_divider_holo_dark.9.png in framework-res, that should be the smaller one...
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda app-developers app
please don't ask questions in this section, there's a Help section for that. thanks
