I'd like to have the statusbar at the bottom of the screen like this:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Is this possible by editing some xml stuff in the systemUI.apk or framework-res.apk? I am using the stock rom and dont want to flash a custom rom.
While researching for this topic I found answers that this is just the tablet mode. But I dont want the tablet mode, I just want the phone mode with the statusbar at the bottom.
Any hints how I can achieve that would be great

I don't know how but i'm just adding my take on this, Even if you got the status bar on the bottom by xml editing, You'd need to edit more things also because the status bar would pull down still and wouldn't pull up automatically .
this would be awesome especially for those who have large screens and difficult to deal with the top of the screen , no such things like this? any app even? for nougat?

I would love to have my statusbar on bottom with
notification blind expanding UPWARD instead of down.) statusbar can sit just above the navbar or beside soft keys.
I tried XUtilities mod after reading about this option but I'm on an LG Optimus F7 stock 4.1.2 JB Custom Kernel (Freedom lite) and it doesn't work.
I've tried modding "LGSystemUi" before, but lost Statusbar and Navbar after putting modded apk back, so DEFINITELY need very concise step by step. OOOOOR if someone is feeling very charitable,
I would happily upload/link my LGSystemUi and or Framework-res apk's for one with skills FAR above MY paygrade to do the edits.
Whoever answers my call for help, thank you eternally, in advance!

P.S.
Here are my SystemUI and Framework-res If someone can do this. (NOT holding my breath but HEY, you never KNOW, right?)

I want the stock battery icons back. How do I go about getting it? Stock xperia battery icons are not available in UOT kitchen.I tried replacing the images in framework-res.apk with the images from stock framework file. But nothing happened. And I don't see the images for this type of icons in frameworkfres.apk or systemui.apk. Has it been changed directly in some XML file?
I'm a noob but familiar with decompiling/recompiling files in apkmanager. Pls help me get stock battery icons back
Thanks in advance
This mod installed Battery Percentage Mod, so it shows how many % is left of the battery.
I can't remember exactly, where it was, but you need to remove the mod and then replace the stock stuff.

Basically I want the following:
1) Lock screen to look like the one above (Not the default lock screen)
2) Cyan colour battery logo and text on the status bar
3) Black background (I think this is simple I can just create a black png and save it)
What is my most resource friendly way to go about doing this?

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1491887
I would like to have a permanent full date on the right side of the status bar. day month year
Use cool tool from Google Play.
You can put date and many more on anywhere in your screen
my S pen did this.
Thank you so much! Perfect!
edit:
When the notification page pulled down the date stays on top of it and on top of notifications. any way to change it?

Edit2 :
You guys really lazy in reporting
I have tested, first one is working but have blue colored clock, attached another to fix it for grey text.(same stock color of clock)
@OP
You can remove '-Is it possible?' from title and link this post to download, it will helpful to others.
PS : This vrtheme and may work only on deodexed rom.

I am attaching the screenshot. I tried the first one. There is a real estate issue in the status bar. While my phone is plugged into my computer for charging, I could see the top left most icon flickering. If you could provide simple date formatting (like mm/dd) that would be great. Because if I have missed call, email notifications, message notification, not sure how the status bar will look.
Just install simplistic framework with simplistic control app.
You can put the date in your status bar and more.
Hello all. I tried to search for it but didn't found anything.
I'm trying to remove some softkeys from a ROM for the Galaxy Note. The Galaxy Note has a hw home button and capacitive back and menu buttons. The thing is, I like tablet ROMs because they use the screen better, but all of them come with Home, Menu and Recent Apps soft buttons added. On TW modded roms you can also find a multiwindow button to launch apps in multiwindow mod (looks like a "^"). So I just want to keep this button (maybe Recent apps too, I'll decide it later). I know how to decompile apks and edit xml's. What I want to know is which apks I need to edit and which xmls in said apps I need to edit/remove entries. I already tried to edit SystemUI.apk and tw_systembar.xml (deleted the entries for Home and Back), but UI crashed on startup and never come up again. If you can point to a good tutorial, it would also be great!
Just to make it clear, this is what I want to do, from this:

Thanks a lot for your help, it's much appreciated!
did you find out how to remove these buttons?
you can try editing build.prop and typing qemu.hw.mainkeys=1 But i dont know if that works on tablet roms

They're not in the regular android framework, they're in the touchwiz framework. (TW_framework-res or something)

Technically that would mean that you mustn't uninstall TouchWiz ?

There is no way you can uninstall TouchWiz just like that. Do note that I am referring to the TouhchWiz framework, not the launcher SecLauncher2.apk (TouchWiz Home)
Have a look in settings.apk or secsettings.apk
Can't remember what TW uses
Edit.. Scratch that, you're looking for the background images, not the text? As shawty says, twframework-res.apk
Edit2.. Look for tw_list_section_divider_holo_light.9.png / tw_list_section_divider_holo_dark.9.png in framework-res, that should be the smaller one...
