So i decided to go back to doomlord kernel and wolf's ULBLDoom ROM. So i proceded to install ULBLdoom.zip (rom) through xrecovery, and then i figured i would install the kernel via flashtool. Now the fun part.
I can't flash the kernel, flashtool just does the connected/disconnected/usb debugging off. (i am holding back while inserting battery)
The + is greyed out so i can't install xrecovery
xrecovery isn't installed cuz it just hangs if i hit back at the SE boot screen
i can get into the OS but wifi wont turn on. Can't install modules cuz i dont have xrecovery
I have no idea what to do now. Id be happy enough if i could go back to the stock ROM somehow
please help!!!
Download SEUS ( Sony Update Service) and flash Stock Rom again. Then, Root, and do what you want with Flashtool.
Here you are link for SEUS:
http://emma.extranet.sonyericsson.com/update_service_setup
Follow instructions and when SEUS say that you have already installed newest firmware, you choose INSTALL ANYWAY, or some options like that.

No such option. Just says no updates. Only option is exit.
I will check tomorrow on my PC, right now I'm not home. I'm 100% sure that some option exists, because I use it numerous times to revert to Stock when I mess my X10.

Hey, thanks so much, but i just managed to get it to accept a stock 2.3.3 fw via flashtool. So happy that worked. Thanks so much for your help.
Now i just need to figure out the correct procedure for getting wolfbreak's ULBLdoom onto my phone. Dont wanna go through that again.
Anyways, thanks again. And if you have any advice on how to install the above rom, i'm all ears
Give me link to that thread. I don't know what it's that. I know what Wolfbreak's TW gingerbread or Gaming Rom are, but ULBL doom don't know.

It's a wolfbreak rom but it says it needs the doomlord kernel
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=17444017&postcount=10392
considering feralab as well. But still having trouble getting xrecovery installed. flashtool wont root the phone, but superoneclick will. flashtool will install xrecovery, but i can't get into it. i dunno if i'm just retarted or if this phone is cursed.
OK. This is a Wolfbreak's V7b6. First, I supposed that you unlocked bootloader, and that you have latest Flashtool 9.9.0, and that you have checked "USB debugging" box under Settings/Applications/Development on your phone.
Download Doomkernel (I recommend medium overclocked) and WIFI module for that kernel. Download Wolfbreak's Rom v7b6. Doomkernel put on your PC, in Flashtool/firmware folder. Wifi module and Rom put on SD card of your phone.
Run Flashtool on PC, when main window show up, connect your phone via USB, and wait for your phone to be recognized. After that, pick Flash icon on main window (Lightning). Choose Flash mode. New window appear with kernels and firmwares. Choose Doomkernel and click OK. Flashtool will ask you to disconnect your phone from USB, to Shutdown phone and when phone is off, keep pressed Back button on phone while connecting with USB again (Entering Flashmode). Flashtool will automatically start flashing selected kernel. When flash is over, disconnect from USB, and power on phone. Wait till boots. It make take longer than usually booting. When booting is finished, reboot again. When phone is start booting, and Doomkernel boot image shows up, keep pressing Back button with pause of 1 sec between pressing ( to enter Xrecovery).
In Xrecovery (use Volume +/- to scroll in menu, Home button to choose things, and Back button to back to previous menu), do Full wipe, Wipe cash partition. Go to Partition Menu and do Format System, Format Data and Format Cash. Go back to Main menu and go to Advance menu and Wipe Dalvik cash. Go back to Main menu and choose Install custom zip, and choose your Rom that you previously put on SD card. Wait till finish, and choose Reboot in main menu.
After rebooting into new Rom, do setup (date, time, accounts...). You will probably get Wifi error when try to connect to wifi network. Reboot into Xrecovery again and choose Install custom zip. Choose WIFI module for your Doomkernel you previously put on SD card and install that fix.
And that's it.
I can recommend you to install DonutHD 2.2.9 Rom. For me is much better than Wolfbreak's rom, faster and newer.

prob is, i can't flash the kernel. Every time, i get this

27/011/2012 21:11:58 - ERROR - Error flashing. Aborted
within a second this happens. Bootloader seems to be locked (capital R in s1tool) but plugins menu is empty in flashtool. Unless there's a new way to unlock bootloader that i can't find. . Ive done so much stuff, its hard to keep track of what's goin on. Tried downgrading to 2.1 to get xrecovery installed, no go. Tried installing it on stock 2.3.3, nada.
And that is the REASON why you can't flash (change) kernel via flashtool. Your bootloader is locked. Check with S1tool if you can unlocked (if your Sim lock certificate is recognized)
Here is link how to check if your bootloader can be unlocked, and if can, how to unlock:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=19685019
Sent from my X10i using xda premium
OK, so after reading that, turns out i can't unlock bootloader as my phone was sim unlocked via a code from the internet.
That being said, i dont mind using stock kernel and Wolfbreak's V7b6 stock, or feralab NG, but i would need to install xrecovery, which is also not working no matter what method i try.
finally got xrecovery installed using flashtool 0.2.9.1. not sure why the newest one wouldn't work, but hey, i'm happy now.
got wolf xperia 7 stock on here now again, and imma leave it for now. Wanna try donut HD 2.2.9. Is it a simple install from xrecovery or do i need to do anything special?
Again, thanks alot for your help. You really went out of your way and i appreciate it, especially considering you did it from your phone. :highfive:
For DonatHD is same procedure like for Wolfbreak. Because you are on Stock kernel, I suggest you to try ThJap's Th N5-1 kernel. It's for locked bootloader(flash via Xrecovery just like you flashed Rom). For that kernel, you must be on Stock kernel.
First Flash Rom you want, boot into Rom, and then reboot into Xrecovery and install ThJap's kernel. You can find download link for that kernel in DonatHD thread on few last pages. Just find my posts.

To stop all those questions about how to install one of the pre rooted 2.3.3 ROMs properly I decided to make this HOW-TO to keep the threads clear.
INGREDIENTS:
All you need is:
1 Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 device
1 Computer
PREPERATIONS:
At the moment, there is NO method to root your X10 after you have installed 2.3.3. So if you installed 2.3.3 via SEUS, PCC oder Flashtool the first step you have to do is to get a rooted stock 2.1 ROM on your device. To avoid errors I would recommend this step to everyone
INSTALL 2.1, root it and install xRecovery:
Get the newest Flashtool http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=920746&highlight=flashtool
Get one of the stock 2.1 ROMS (same thread as flashtool)
Extract the ROM-file to your Flashtool/firmware folder
Start flashtool
Click on "Flash" and select the firmware you just downloaded
Click OK
Turn off your device
Connect cable to PC NOT TO YOUR X10
Press Back-Button on your X10 and connect cable
Wait flashtool to finish
After that, turn on phone and activate "Unknown sources" and "USB-Debugging" under Application-Settings
Hit "Root" in flashtool
Wait for flashtool to finish and X10 to reboot
After reboot hit "Ask root permissions" in flashtool and select allow on you X10 (a popup will appear)
Hit "xrecovery" in flashtool
GETTING ROOTED 2.3.3 ON YOUR DEVICE:
First of all, you have to download the ROM you wish to install. This step should be clear, but you never know . Every of those ROMs comes in 2 parts. 1 update.zip and 1 kernel+baseband file for flashtool.
Copy the update.zip (name can be different!!) to your X10s SDcard
Reboot X10 into xRecovery (Keep hitting Back-button while X10 restarts)
Select "Factory Reset"
Select "Wipe Cache Partition"
Select "Advanced options" -> "Wipe Dalvik Cache"
Select "Install custom zip" and select the zipfile you copied to your SDCard
Wait for xRecovery to finish
After that, DONT REBOOT OR DO ANYTHING, JUST REMOVE ANY CONNECTED CABLE AND REMOVE BATTERY TO TURN OF PHONE
EXTRACT the kernel+baseband-File into flashtools firmware folder
Hit "Flash" in flashtool and select the copied kernel+baseband
Now insert battery again (make sure no cable is connected. Otherwise the phone will start into charging mode and you have to start again)
Press Back-button and connect cable
Wait for flashtool to finish
Start X10 and enjoy your rooted 2.3.3!
Hope this helps

I'm currently using Wolf's ROM and I can tell you there's definitely a difference. The speed is absolutely amazing. He's made some optimization tweaks and there's no lag at all. Everything runs totally smooth and the battery life is astonishing.

Doh!! I hadnt unpacked the bundle with winrar so flash obviously wouldnt work!!
Hi, i have a noob question:
I'm now on official 2.1 update 1 and rooted with Z4root a while ago.
When i start this tutorial, do i have to unroot first so i can root again with the above method or can i just start from step 1?
I think you can just start with installing xrecovery.
Ok, I started the tutorial and installed xrecovery with flashtool. But when i get to the step to select the update.zip file on my sd card, it says the card is not accessable. So i Restored my phone and booted it up to check if i can check my sd card via astro, everything works just fine. So i Started the tutorial all over, even reinstalled xrecovery and rooted again. I did this already 4 times now ,but still the same problem in recovery, what do i have to do ta access the sd card with the update on it in xrecovery?
Thanks

How long does the process of restoring back to stock 2.1 take? I've been waiting 10min and its stuck on "flashing loader" I'm getting scared....
You forgot to mention ONE important step: having SEUS installed in order to have flashing driver required for flashtool.
question here,
i was using stock 2.3 last couple of day, yesterday i decided to flash custom rom so i followed this thread's guide. however how i stuck at stock rom 2.1 because i can't gain root access! this is weird i been using flashtool and z4root none of them giving me root access. anybody have any idea what's this problem?
thanks in advance!
Hello,
First I want to thank all xda-developers for their work!
They do even better work then the providers!
Question 1:
Well my question is that I want to flash my SE Xperia X10 Mini.
I already unlocked the bootloader with the following guide:
Link 1: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1254225
Although now I want to flash the kernel.
In the thread (link 1) stands how to flash the kernel.
But also in the following thread of the ROM that I want to install after worths:
Link 2: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1068553
Link 1 says that I don't must flash any .sin files.
Although link 2 says I need to flash the kernel.sin and the loader.sin.
This getting me confused, now I don't know what I need to follow?
Question 2:
Also at the link 1 it talks about a .ftf file that I can't find.
Where can I find that?
Question 3:
In link 2 when i download the ROM I get a file called "A MiniCM7-2.1.1_nAa-kernel02.7z".
So it says it got a kernel inside (I guess thats the .ftf file) but I can't find it inside it.
Anybody knows where I could find that?
Thanks in advance.
Greetz,
Jan2426
I think you have wrong link to get custom kernel, find here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1256739 see instal guide, there the link kernel ftf file.
Before flash that kernel you must flash the ROM in Link 2.
to flash custom kernel you must download ftf file if you had zip, extract and you will get ftf and put that in folder flashtool/firmware, and you can see there 2 file.sin in there from flashtool.
If i can help you don't forget to press thanks button.
Thanks for your quick response!
U helped me to the right direction already.
Although i still have a question left.
Question 1:
To flash the ROM I just need to copy it to the root of the SD-card?
Thanks in advance.
Greetz,
Jan2426
Copy Rom ( *.zip) to the SD Card ,
in the ClockworkMod choose option
- install zip from sdcard then
- choose zip from sdcard then
find file with ROM and apply
VOILA
of course I assume that you have ClockworworkMod installed

Yes,
1. Copy ROM to sd card
2. boot in CWM recovery
3. Wipe Data/factory reset
4. wipe cache partition
5. advance>wipe dalvik cache
6. instal zip from sd card and chose ROM.
don,t forget to backup your file first.
and now you can flash the kernel.
Thanks both for your answers.
Yes I installed ROM manager.
Although stiv8785 you say I first need to follow these steps and then flash:
1. Copy ROM to sd card
2. boot in CWM recovery
3. Wipe Data/factory reset
4. wipe cache partition
5. advance>wipe dalvik cache

EDIT:
At the moment I wanted to flash my phone I am still confused (sorry guys for my slow understanding).
To flash it by this following link:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1256739
He says:
Flash the kernel via Flashtool

Although that gives me to less details how to flash is correctly.
On the following link there is more details about it:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1068553
He says:
Flash the nAa kernel using Flashtool. To to this:
- Turn off your phone
- Start the Flashtool\X10FlashTool.exe and select Flash. Then select the E10_nAaxxx kernel firmware (this flashes both the kernel.sin and the loader.sin)
- Keep the back button pressed while connecting the usb cable. Flashtool should detect your phone and flash the kernel.
- Once done, disconnect the usb cable and power on the phone.
Click to collapse
And the following link:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1254225
Says this:
Generally you have to delete all the files in /system/lib/modules before flashing a custom kernel!
c. Put the (kernel name).ftf file in the /firmwares folder. (Don't flash any .sin files, flash only the .ftf file.)
d. Open Flashtool.
e. Click Flash.
f. Select (kernel name).ftf.
g. Turn off your phone.
h. Connect your phone in flash mode (only when the popup window prompts for you to do so). (To boot into flash mode, press and hold back button while connecting your phone to the PC using an usb cable).
i. Disconnect your phone (do so only when the popup window to prompts you to disconnect your phone).
j. Reboot and you have a custom kernel!
k. Confirm by going to Settings --> About Phone --> Kernel version. It should have the name of the kernel you flashed.
m. To flash back to stock kernel, download the appropriate file below and follow steps listed above.

Which one is the best to follow for my SE Xperia X10 Mini (E10i)?
Steps I already have taken:
1. Unlock the bootloader.
2. Install FlashTool v0.2.9.1 beta.
3. Put the .ftf file into the following folder: /firmwares.
4. Put the custom ROM (the .zip file) into the root of my SD card.
So far all successful.
sorry, maybe because I use the Mini Pro not mini.
Please follow the instructions in the ROM thread, I think everything is clear.
and all the materials you prepare is correct, good luck
No problem
And thanks again I will follow that guide now.
I am charging my mobile now to 100% now before I start.
Although I installed ROM manager but didn't do anything with it yet.
Should I do something with it before flashing or?
I have totally no experience with the ROM manager.
Anybody could give a short guide how to use the ROM manager and where it's good for?
I am sorry I keep asking questions but I am a bit nervous about flashing my mobile.
I don't want to brick it hehe
EDIT:
Do I need to delete all files in "/system/lib/modules" before flashing?
There is only the following items in it:
sdio.ko
tiwlan_drv.ko

Have you installed the Recovery CWM?
You don't need ROM manager.
No need to remove the module, if the ROM is compatible with a custom kernel.
At this following link:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1068553
or:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1254225
Stands nothing from Recovery CWM.
Do I then still need to install it?
Also if I need to do I need to install it before or after flashing the kernel?
Or is it included by flashing the kernel?
EDIT:
I notice that I keep getting in a circle of keep asking questions.
I will try to break this circle with the following.
Tell me how far it's done:
- Good.
- Bad.
- What else need to be done.
- What need to be changed.
I'm sorry that I keep asking these questions, but like I said before I am getting bit nervous about flashing my phone.
Although I want to do it because SE stopped with giving us updates and I am stuck with 2.1-update1
Step 1: Root phone (done successful).
Step 2: Unlock bootloader (done successful).
Step 3: Flash kernel (not done).
Step 3a: Turn off your phone
Step 3b: Start the Flashtool\X10FlashTool.exe and select Flash. Then select the E10_nAaxxx kernel firmware (this flashes both the kernel.sin and the loader.sin)
Step 3c: Keep the back button pressed while connecting the usb cable. Flashtool should detect your phone and flash the kernel.
Step 3e: Once done, disconnect the usb cable and power on the phone.
Step 4: Install Recovery CWM (not done).
Step 4a: Don't know what to do here?
Do i need to install it actually?
NOTE:I also heard something about Busybox, but I don't know much about that either and is it needed?
Short explanation about the colors:
Green: done successful
Orange: I think it's the right way to do not sure and not done.
Red: I am confused and don't know what to do.
Thanks in advance.
Greetz,
Jan2426
GOOD
Make sure has been successful flash custom kernel:
go to settings> about phone and see if the kernel version is 2.6.29 SEMCUser @ SEMCHost # 1 you have not succeeded. but if his version is compatible with the kernel name or initials, you've managed to flash a custom kernel.
I read the thread nAa kernel, CWM recovery already in the kernel. to be sure reboot the phone, wait a moment will live on and the screen appeared an image or text first on press back button. iff you in to the recovery menu (for navigation, home to select).
please proceed to the next step in ROM instalation guide.
So I can untill ROM manager and busybox from my mobile?
They are not needed?

if your phone has been root, you don't need busybox. because it's already installed on the phone when in root. (I assume if your phone already in root)
ROM manager i think it, s optional.

repair again, use SE Update Service.
if you,ve same problem, i think something wrong with your phone.
bring it tu SE Service Center.
stiv8785 once thanks again! (I pressed every thanks button at every post of yours )
So I unstalled dropbox.
I guess I will keep ROM manager on my phone for now.
Although I got one last question (I hope ).
How do I backup my ROM that I use now (the standard thats on every SE X10 Mini)?
So if something goes wrong that I still got a backup.

So if something goes wrong that I still got a backup.

Backup with CWM Recovery :
1. boot in cwm recovery
2. chose backup & restore
3. then backup
I just flashed my phone.
I only got INFO messages, no errors.
The following messages came thruw:
Start Flashing
Flashign loader
Flashing kernel.sin
flashing finished.
Now unplug the device and power it on.
Then go to application settings.
turn on Unknown Sources and Debugging.
Although I can enter the boot menu by pressing the back button on the mobile, when the distorterd boot logo comes on.
Only now he keeps repeating the SE intro short movie.
Although he gots a lot of lag.

Congratulations, I'm sorry too late to respond.
Since I'm not able yet to post into the development forums:
I have decided to finally mod my Xperia S as well (did that only with HTC's before), and after unlocking the bootloader and slap Advanced Stock Kernel on it, i wanted to flash KA09 Xperia SSpeed. At first it all went well, no errors during installation but then i wanted to reboot, and the phone went into a permanent bootloop. There's the Sony startup screen with the Advanced Stock Kernel writing underneath, the blue LED flashes shortly, the phone vibrates, then it starts all over again.
I have tried SEUS but to no avail, since the phone will always restart, hence disconnecting to the PC. I also can't boot the phone into fastboot or recovery, or anything for that matter.
HALP!?

hold the power button + volume up then wait till it vibrates 3 times, your phone will power off. then you can use the SEUS, i think its via fastmode (power+volume down) to reflash or u can use flashtool to reflash ur firmware.
this is what i did when im stock on bootloop before (because i dont have back ups).
1. installed flashtool
2. download ftf
3. paste the ftf on c:\firmwares\
4. open flashtool then click the lighting icon, choose fastmode, choose ftf and wait until it says (power off phone then connect via fastmode), since your phone is power off all u need to do is to connect the phone and then hold the power button+ volume down.
5. then it will reinstall your firmware.
6. after reinstalled, flash advanced stock kernel.
7. then make back up of your rom so you dont need to reflash your firmware in case of bootloop.
now that was a quick reply, thank you very much. will try this and will post how it went!
Same problem
MichaelxHell, did it work, did you solve it?
If you did please let me know how you did because i have the same problem, will try what he said above too.

it will work because ive been there before
I was flashing ka xperia kernel (via recovery) over Advanced stock kernel and got this weird bootloop.
Sometimes i couldnt even start the freaking phone. So what i did was when the phone finally started and the botloop started i long pressed Vol Up and powerbutton for about 5sec (after the phone vibrates three times) so it would shut down, since i could not enter fastboot while it was bootlooping. Then held Vol Up (not Vol Down) while plugging in usb, only then i got to enter fastboot.
Then i only reflashed advance stock kernel (ics9.elf) and it finally booted back.
Might be helpful

same problem of boot loop
help previously on ics stock unlocked bootloader via fastboot installed ka v1 kernal via fast boot and ther ka09 nspeed rom through recovery since then its boot loop any solutuion except stock ftf file
Use fastboot and try flashing Advance stock kernel forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1729280 and see if its booting

When you go from STOCK STOCK you should first prepare by doing a backup and then erasing everything before even trying to install a custom ROM or another kernel.
When you install a kernel that has recovery, before trying to install the custom ROM be sure to wipe data/factory reset and then wipe dalvik cache and fix permissions.
Then you can install the custom ROM and after that be sure to also install the patched KA09 zip.
And even after that, remember, that is a development ROM not completely stable at all.

Okay, so i have flashed the Kernel from this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1729280 and it brought my Xperia S back to life. the only problem now is, that the XPS won't boot into recovery. so far the ROM (KA09 Xperia SSpeed) is working fine, but it would be nice to have good old cwm back.. any help? thanks
So Laugh at me I've bricked my neo mt15i
So some suggestions on where to look to fix it would be nice, or maybe someone knows how to unbrick it?
I bricked it using some ICS firmware with Clockwork mod,
I booted into clockwork after turning it on, selected install rom, installed the new rom, came up with a interesting install menu with next, select neo or neo v, Of course I selected my mt15i neo option, clicked next. It went through the install said it was finished and rebooted.
Now its stuck when it turns on at Sony Ericsson, and doesn't move from there,
I can turn it on holding the option key to get it to fastboot mode or the back key for a green light which i think is recovery mode.
So i've tried using the sony ericsson recovery software but it was like no bad firmware since I can a custom 2.3 rom, so it was rooted and everything.
So how would I go about fixing it from fastboot or recovery? I'm sure there is a way, but I haven't found any thing yet through my google searches.
Thanks in advance guys
Why are you using ICS rom with GB kernel? flash some custom ICS kernel.
btw: that option key is called menu key
also you didn't say which rom you was trying to use
ahh sorry it was just a random ics rooted rom of the neo,
Its a tweaked one of some sort of version 4, ill need to find it in my download list again since i renamed the file when I put it onto my sd card

it doesn't actually matters, main problem is that you use GB kernel with ICS rom.
What do you mean GB kernel?
Since I unlocked the bootloader when I first put on the original rooted rom, but Im not too sure what else I changed when I first rooted it from the guide.
So could we go some where from here and change the GB kernel? or Have a dug myself in a hole in this case

You were using gingerbread before, right? And then you installed rom from CWM, right?
oh yep sorry always forget these names
yeah i went from GB to ics using clockworks mod 5,
but yeah im slowly understanding what im missing now, so i need a ice cream sandwich kernel to make my rom work,
My phone is now booting into clockworks 4 by itself when I turn it on, So I guess I can do something from here?
I think I managed to get cwm 4 on by flashing it using flashtools, so i think I need to find a kernel which supports my new rom would be my guess, but flashtool doesn't seem to like the kernels i've been finding and the ones that come with the roms i've managed to download the links seem to be all dead so far

Well managed to get it going after about 6 hours of reading different forums today
Thank you for your help guys!
So I worked out I used a tweaked rom link-http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1720177
But the kernel didn't seem to work for some reason, though maybe I tried it with the wrong rom and thats why it didn't work, all i know is i've got a 2.6 kernel with 4.0.4 ics,
this said this has been quite a good learning experience, even though it was slightly stressful as I tried option after option.
But yea the problem was the kernel from what I could work out, and when I was booting up into clockworkmod 4 that was when I'd flashed the kernnel to it, I could install other roms from there and then re flash the kernel after i'd install the rom.
What I don't understand is why clockworkmod 5 was deleted when i used it to install the rom originally, since it wouldn't work after that (holding down the volume button when turning on)
Though maybe its still there after loading a rom that boots now, haven't checked yet
Neo / v has no recovery partition, which is where cwm usually installs.
So we have 2 options install to /system or /boot when you have locked bootloader you can only install to /system, most rooms format /system at install so unless the rom contains cwm it is lost.
With unlocked bootloader cwm lives in the kernel, as performance is better with custom kernel most rom recommend one, therefore no cwm needed is system.
To clarify cwm for locked Xperia is s compressed archive extracted to and ran from cache partition, so once your in recovery formatting system isn't an issue but it is lost at reboot.

Dude, it`s very easy to unbrick your neo.
You should do step by step:
1.Install latest Flashtool to your PC.
2. Install ADB drivers
3. Download Official Sony Firmware 4.1.B.0.431 Central_Europe and kernel with cwm, i prefer night-elf
4. Power OFF your phone/ Launch Flashtool at PC/
Then press and hold settings button on Neo and connect usb cable.
LED must be green. Then press flash button and choose Fastboot. In next window press 'Selekt kernel to flash' and choose downloaded night-elf kernel.
5. Then disconnect cable. Then press and hold BACK button and connect cable to neo. LED must be blue. Next press flash button and choose Flashmode, select Official FTF you downloaded and press ok.
6. Voialia! 5-6 minutes and your neo is Alive!:fingers-crossed:

As I said in PM. Use flashtool to flash other ROM.
Take the battery out and leave for 60 seconds then reinsert the battery and repeatedly press back you should be able to enter recovery

flash stock frimware with flashtools or use SEUS if you are noob at this

maybe you should flash the kernel provided by developers via flashtool first, then install rom via xrecovery or CMW, you should do the step provided from developers dude.
Pull out battery and prepare flashing of kernel provided by developer for his rom. Flash it, enter recovwry and install zip.
Or you can use PcCompanion or SEUS to install stock rom and then root it again.
Cheers

You must flash the required kernel for a custom ROM which is usually provided by the developer who made the ROM in question. Most custom kernels have CWM recovery integrated so a good idea would be to flash a custom kernel with recovery and install the appropriate ROM for it.
For custom kernels you have to unlock your bootloader but if you didn't do that then it's probably only safe for you to do this:
1. Pull out the battery and wait 10 seconds.
2. Put the battery back in and open SEUS (Sony PC Companion) on your PC.
3. Click on Support Zone > Phone / Tablet Software Update > repair my phone / tablet > follow instructions and connect the phone in flashmode when asked for (it will tell you how to do that).
4. Wait till SEUS does it thing and tells you that everything is successfully done. DO NOT DISCONNECT THE PHONE FROM YOUR PC WHILE MAKING A SOFTWARE REPAIR!
5. You should be able to use your phone with the stock GB ROM installed.
If you wish to flash custom kernels you must unlock your bootloader. If you wish to use custom ROMs which require custom kernels you should also unlock your bootloader.
