As I said in PM. Use flashtool to flash other ROM.
Take the battery out and leave for 60 seconds then reinsert the battery and repeatedly press back you should be able to enter recovery

maybe you should flash the kernel provided by developers via flashtool first, then install rom via xrecovery or CMW, you should do the step provided from developers dude.
Pull out battery and prepare flashing of kernel provided by developer for his rom. Flash it, enter recovwry and install zip.
Or you can use PcCompanion or SEUS to install stock rom and then root it again.
Cheers

You must flash the required kernel for a custom ROM which is usually provided by the developer who made the ROM in question. Most custom kernels have CWM recovery integrated so a good idea would be to flash a custom kernel with recovery and install the appropriate ROM for it.
For custom kernels you have to unlock your bootloader but if you didn't do that then it's probably only safe for you to do this:
1. Pull out the battery and wait 10 seconds.
2. Put the battery back in and open SEUS (Sony PC Companion) on your PC.
3. Click on Support Zone > Phone / Tablet Software Update > repair my phone / tablet > follow instructions and connect the phone in flashmode when asked for (it will tell you how to do that).
4. Wait till SEUS does it thing and tells you that everything is successfully done. DO NOT DISCONNECT THE PHONE FROM YOUR PC WHILE MAKING A SOFTWARE REPAIR!
5. You should be able to use your phone with the stock GB ROM installed.
If you wish to flash custom kernels you must unlock your bootloader. If you wish to use custom ROMs which require custom kernels you should also unlock your bootloader.

I have a rooted SE wt19i with CWM recovery installed and yesterday I wiped all the data, cache and system files to install Minimul Triumph ROM.
When I rebooted my phone it was stucked at the First Sony Ericsson screen and didnt boot into recovery. I have a Backup On My SD.
Please Help
have you tried flashing back to the original firmware using flashtool?
Yes i DId try but it doesnt even go to flash mode
Edit:I finally managed to go to flash mode. I flashed the firmware succesfully thanks kevin
First, I cannot find that kind of ROM for WT19i, could be wrong ROM to install. You can only install ROMs, that are built for your phone.
Second, you must have custom kernel to boot into custom ROM. Stock kernel only works with stock ROM. First install custom kernel(there's plenty of them in Development section, like X Kernel, Rage Kernel, bbooff's kernel etc) and then via CWM install custom ROM(install from sdcard).
Most custom kernels include CWM.

So Laugh at me I've bricked my neo mt15i
So some suggestions on where to look to fix it would be nice, or maybe someone knows how to unbrick it?
I bricked it using some ICS firmware with Clockwork mod,
I booted into clockwork after turning it on, selected install rom, installed the new rom, came up with a interesting install menu with next, select neo or neo v, Of course I selected my mt15i neo option, clicked next. It went through the install said it was finished and rebooted.
Now its stuck when it turns on at Sony Ericsson, and doesn't move from there,
I can turn it on holding the option key to get it to fastboot mode or the back key for a green light which i think is recovery mode.
So i've tried using the sony ericsson recovery software but it was like no bad firmware since I can a custom 2.3 rom, so it was rooted and everything.
So how would I go about fixing it from fastboot or recovery? I'm sure there is a way, but I haven't found any thing yet through my google searches.
Thanks in advance guys
Why are you using ICS rom with GB kernel? flash some custom ICS kernel.
btw: that option key is called menu key
also you didn't say which rom you was trying to use
ahh sorry it was just a random ics rooted rom of the neo,
Its a tweaked one of some sort of version 4, ill need to find it in my download list again since i renamed the file when I put it onto my sd card

it doesn't actually matters, main problem is that you use GB kernel with ICS rom.
What do you mean GB kernel?
Since I unlocked the bootloader when I first put on the original rooted rom, but Im not too sure what else I changed when I first rooted it from the guide.
So could we go some where from here and change the GB kernel? or Have a dug myself in a hole in this case

You were using gingerbread before, right? And then you installed rom from CWM, right?
oh yep sorry always forget these names
yeah i went from GB to ics using clockworks mod 5,
but yeah im slowly understanding what im missing now, so i need a ice cream sandwich kernel to make my rom work,
My phone is now booting into clockworks 4 by itself when I turn it on, So I guess I can do something from here?
I think I managed to get cwm 4 on by flashing it using flashtools, so i think I need to find a kernel which supports my new rom would be my guess, but flashtool doesn't seem to like the kernels i've been finding and the ones that come with the roms i've managed to download the links seem to be all dead so far

Well managed to get it going after about 6 hours of reading different forums today
Thank you for your help guys!
So I worked out I used a tweaked rom link-http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1720177
But the kernel didn't seem to work for some reason, though maybe I tried it with the wrong rom and thats why it didn't work, all i know is i've got a 2.6 kernel with 4.0.4 ics,
this said this has been quite a good learning experience, even though it was slightly stressful as I tried option after option.
But yea the problem was the kernel from what I could work out, and when I was booting up into clockworkmod 4 that was when I'd flashed the kernnel to it, I could install other roms from there and then re flash the kernel after i'd install the rom.
What I don't understand is why clockworkmod 5 was deleted when i used it to install the rom originally, since it wouldn't work after that (holding down the volume button when turning on)
Though maybe its still there after loading a rom that boots now, haven't checked yet
Neo / v has no recovery partition, which is where cwm usually installs.
So we have 2 options install to /system or /boot when you have locked bootloader you can only install to /system, most rooms format /system at install so unless the rom contains cwm it is lost.
With unlocked bootloader cwm lives in the kernel, as performance is better with custom kernel most rom recommend one, therefore no cwm needed is system.
To clarify cwm for locked Xperia is s compressed archive extracted to and ran from cache partition, so once your in recovery formatting system isn't an issue but it is lost at reboot.

Dude, it`s very easy to unbrick your neo.
You should do step by step:
1.Install latest Flashtool to your PC.
2. Install ADB drivers
3. Download Official Sony Firmware 4.1.B.0.431 Central_Europe and kernel with cwm, i prefer night-elf
4. Power OFF your phone/ Launch Flashtool at PC/
Then press and hold settings button on Neo and connect usb cable.
LED must be green. Then press flash button and choose Fastboot. In next window press 'Selekt kernel to flash' and choose downloaded night-elf kernel.
5. Then disconnect cable. Then press and hold BACK button and connect cable to neo. LED must be blue. Next press flash button and choose Flashmode, select Official FTF you downloaded and press ok.
6. Voialia! 5-6 minutes and your neo is Alive!:fingers-crossed:
Hi Everyone,
I am using Xperia Neo. My friend helped me in installing custom ics rom from unlocking bootloader step to installing a custom rom.
Now i tried to install a custom rom, but it didnt work even though i followed the right steps.
Now when i tried to switch to the old rom it gives a status 7 error (similar one to this link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1805631&highlight=status+7)
From the above thread i got the following steps
Simply flash an official ROM (.ftf) with Flashtool in Flashmode mode;
Flash a correct Kernel (extract it from Cyanogen rom zip, boot.img usually) with Flashtool in Fastboot mode;
Enter recovery CMW;
Perform a full wipe factory reset, and cache wipe nextly;
Finish with applying custom ROM by CWM;
Can someone help me with the first step
Simply flash an official ROM (.ftf) with Flashtool in Flashmode mode;
Is there a thread which has these steps?
Currently I am on a custom kernel and not on the base kernel will that create any problem in doing the first step?
Please help me on this. I am just a beginner.
Thanks in Advance.

Flashing a .ftf in this case implies that you have to flash just the baseband version. u must have flashed the complete firmware. while flashing new baseband you must exclude the kernel. the .ftf file has to be placed in the C:\Flashtool\firmwares directory. also u have not wiped the Dalvik cache.....

Flash it via Flashtool with stock kernel.
This will flash your phone to Stock rom.

I think you are flash the wrong kernel, the kernel you've flashed is for ICS not for GB..
You may just have soft-bricked your phone, but don't fret . My Neo V was also got stuck on the SONY logo yesterday, after I tried to flash a custom ROM. The phone wouldn't even go into recovery mode. I tried many things to get my phone back up again including flashing the stock kernel, but nothing worked, except repairing it through PC Companion.
If nothing else works, you can try the "Repair" option in Sony PC Companion, which will flash your phone with the latest stock ROM and you will have to root it again (if you want). But BEWARE, all your phone data will be LOST, if not already backed up. If you are wondering where to find the "Repair" option in PC Companion, open the software >> Support Zone >> Update Firmware. On this small window where it asks you to connect your phone, you will see the "repair" option just below on this screen.
You may have done many wrong things, you need to divide kernel issues from rom ones.
Anyway you can set back to stock firmware (rom+kernel) flashing the fw you want with flashtool. Full wipe is a must. If you can't enter cwm right now you will lose your rom-data in order to restore phone.
When you flash a kernel you have to check which android rom it is build for (gb, ics, jb), or your phone will not be able to boot.
Then when you flash a rom you have to make full wipe and follow its instructions.
Of course if you flash whole stock firmware you don't have to worry about the things above.
Don't use PC companion, instead use Sony Update Service. If it refuses to help you, then flash fw manually with flashtool.

Hello!
Please forgive me if i ask the wrong way here.
I would like to migrate from (rooted) ICS 4.0.4 to JB 4.2.2 Cyanogenmod 10.1 on my xperia mini st15i.
I remember me rooting it using gingerbread and flashtool a year ago, but i cant remember how i updated to stock ics. Most probably using the flashtool.
Now i have the problem that i cannot enter recover mode by pressing Volume down when turning on.
The system just starts into some safe mode.
Reading the last 4 hours arround makes me think that there is a cwm missing, but all tries to install cwm on my 4.0.4 phone fail (eg using x-parts).
Do you have a tip or advise how i can migrate from 4.0.4 to 4.2.2?
best regards,
b
First of all, you need an unlocked bootloader to flash any rom like 4.1 or 4.2. So unlock it and then go on
Now you choose the 4.2.2 rom (I guess cm10.1) and open the zip, flash the kernel boot.img from inside the zip using flashtool (or the fastboot.exe) and then install the rom
If I were you I'd first read many guides like for example my bootloader unlocking guide or my guide how to install a custom kernel/rom :good:

Thank you so much for your advice. I managed it to unlock the bootloader, even the automatic software (#2 in your tut) didnt recieve the unlock code. I had to get it per email from sony.
At restart it seems that all data was lost, and i am now ready to go to CM 10.1.
So if i understand you correctly, this is what i have to do now:
1) flash he boot.img from the shu_cm-10.1-20130519-UNOFFICIAL-anzu.zip - This will install CWM
2) when the mobile restarts i am now able to enter the cwm and install the zip which is on the sd-card
3) Enjoy 4.2.2
Is this correct?
best regards,
B

Yes, first you copy the cm10.1.zip and the gapps (google apps) for android 4.2.2 on your sdcard. Then you flash the boot.img for cm10.1 (from inside the zip) on phone and reboot in cwm (pressing volume down randomly or when the notification led lights up)
Now you are in cwm, there you wipe data/factory reset, wipe cache and then install zip from sdcard - choose zip - choose cm10.1, let it install. Afterwards you choose the gapps.zip. When the installation has finished, just reboot and enjoy android 4.2.2 :good:

Too bad - i think i bricked my phone in doing that.
I flashed the boot.img as said and tried to restart and enter cwm.
But the only thing that happens is the LED is pink and the screen switches on but stays black.
What did i wrong?
Lucky it seems still possible to enter fast flash mode and the flashtools recognize the phone
In the meanwhile i was able to flash a stock GB .42 and root it.
I tried to install cwm using x-parts but x-parts freezes during the installation and i get a notification that is has to be force-ended.
So i am struggling at installation of the cwm on my st15i.
I never thought that it is so nasty...
Instead of using flashtool, use some batch tools (like in my sig) to flash the kernel (boot.img) that came with cm rom.
Then try booting it, when fxp logo appears, press vol down.
If it didn't work, try some custom kernels like lupus or mesa and try again.
Regards
N
Which boot.img did you use? The one for mini (smultron)?
Btw let's go on via PM, we can try to solve it in German, maybe that's easier. We can post the solution in the end here
Btw for the next time you have a question, please post it in Q&A section :good:

The just wait until it's online again or try FXP cm10 again for smultron. Then flash the right gapps for 4.1.2

It really was all about the wrong image, and not finding the correct one, because goo.im was offline.
