hey,
after some tries to unlock my 'x-Ray' (ST18i) I got a real problem:
there is no green LED while loading the batterie,
and I cannot start it.
Pushing the power button does nothing, holding it gives me a very short, green blinking light, once a second.
Somtiimes it gives me an additional vibration, but nothing more.
SEUS finds an update and unstalls it but that doesn't change anything.
Did I really knock it out or is there a chance to use it again?
Someone there with ideas -or even help?

SIM-locked by o2 Scotland -- phone and I live in Germany. :crying:
I tried fastgsm, result: no SIM is detected.
quote 'wotanserver.com':
Make sure you understand the difference between Debranding and Unlocking process. Debranding can help you remove network customized logo, themes, settings and applications from your phone and replace it with default Sony Ericsson ones.
Beside unlocking removes Invalid SIM Card or SIM network unlock PIN screens and allows you to use your phone with different network SIM card – unlocking is NOT supported by WotanClient software!
so that I don't think it could work.
Do I think wrong? Should I try ?

I use Wotan network unlocker but by mistake I have no credit and I have to interrupt the unlock process. After that my phone says to insert sim card. No sim card is recognized by phone. Try to reinstall rom…hard reset…..nothing work!!!
I will try today to do the complete unlock just waiting that my credit are available.
Seems to me that by interrupting the unlock process something happened to my Erom.
Do you know any other way to solve this?
Can I have hope that during the complete unlock process that my phone is okay?
Anyone have experience on such situation?
You help and advice please.

They have new tool that allow to unlock the phone (Xperia neo Unlocker).
But I tried to use it without credit and process failed (obvious).
Now my phone say to insert sim card when sim card is already inside.
I am waiting to have credit available to try the complete process and hope to solve this.
I am only asking for feedback to avoid spending money and don´t have my phone working again.
I also hear about Omnious!!

Well,
Just to inform that my problem was solved after making the complete unlock procedure.
Now I have my Neo network unlocked but I was real scared ;-)
Most curious is that after that I “see” dialing *#*#7378423#*#* that my boot loader can be unlocked ;-)
Perfect….2 in 1….unlock network and can unlock boot loader ;-)
Thanks

Hi,
I'm having the same problem with my Neo. May I know what you did to solve the problem Pls? Would greatly appreciate it
Buy a credit is what they want you to do to fix it, it's a bad approach to sales thought...
You can also fix it by flashing a correct file, not at home now so can't part but it was a small 16Mb sin

Could you explain a bit more on flashing the correct file? How may I do that? I'd like to fix this without spending any money if possible.
Basically flash a sin with a lower baseband, then you get a signal back. Worked for me on neo v, likely a higher baseband would work too.
Sent from my MT11i using Tapatalk
Im sorry but I dont understand a single bit lol
Whats a sin and how do i flash it?
Pardon me im a noob..
Save yourself a headache and buy the credit. As if you flash the wrong one you'll make things worse.
Although personally I'd use Omnia server instead now as they obviously are intentionally trying to force the sale.
Sent from my MT11i using Tapatalk
i did some research on flashing. ive experimented a bit with flashtool. now i just need that sin file you mentioned earlier. do you have the download link? thanks in advance
I got the file from Omnia server, download it, once you select the phone type there is an option at the bottom to browse files for device, your looking for one that's only 16Mb
This post has latest baseband

Hi,
After the reparation of the 0% battery issue sending to the warranty I have received today my Neo but with another problem...
This time it doesn't recognize my sim card, my phone is network locked. I've tried do set manually the network but with no luck. I even try to download a APN software in the market but I gave the message that my sim card wasn't in the phone. Tried also other sim card but the problem remains the same.
Any solution?
note: I don't want to unlock the bootloader or the network!

If you had sim-unlocked phone before and now its locked, isn't it obvious that they locked it?
so simply go back to repair center and tell them that you want unlocked phone as the one you brought to them was unlocked.
I had same problem, idiots locked my gf's phone after giving her new mainboard.
My phone is sim locked.

We see that
Question is, was it locked before you send it for repair?
Or are you telling that you actually have SIM card from network on which your phone is locked, but it's not working?
In ether way, send it back, they messed it up, let them fix it.
You should've been around during the FREE Omnius unlocking festival

Hello!
I have the same issue about the SIM not working after unloking the bootloader with Wotanserver. :crying::crying:
What can I do?? How did you performed a full unlock??
Thanks a lot!!!!
Hi everyone, there are 4 days for unlock bootloader for free on Omnius.
There are a lot of ppl who have Bootloader Unlock allowed: NO! and as u know it can only be unlocked by pay method. Well you are lucky if you are seing this post because if you go to omnius page: http://www.omnius-server.com/ and register you can unlock for free your 2011 xperia phone. I already try this method on my brother's xperia mini pro (sk17) and it works without pay anything.
If you have some question be free to ask here, I will help you in your unlocker, its a little diffficult but can be done!.
Good luck!
Edit:
STEPS:
Open omnius, log into your account.
Select your device from list.
Press unlock -> Bootloader
It will show you an image where your testpoint is located.
- Next steps are for mini pro -
Cancel the process. Now turn off your xperia mini pro. Remove your batter
Localizate the testpoint and put there your tool (It can be a paper clip with cable).
Put the clip on your test point and the cable to the ground (omnius will help you with this) then connect your phone at the computer.
Windows will recognize new driver and it will fail with installation. Dont worry, open device manager and right click that device and choice update driver. Select install from my computer. Go to omnius installation (c->program files -> omnius -> drivers) and accept. It will show you a warning telling that those arent the proper drivers but its ok, just press install anyway.
Thats it, it will install you the drivers you need.
Now unplug test point and put your battery on (usb cable must be conected).
Now unplug the usb now.
Put usb again on your xperia and once again it will show you new device founded, follow the same step before, device manager, update, from computer, etc, etc). Thats it, now open omnius and press unlock, bootloader and it will succes.
For anothers devices it will be the same but with different testpoint, steps may be different but omnius will show you the way.
I hope this can help you, because is one day left.

First take out battery from phone then take some wire and connect it,to ground (you can find testpoint locations on omnius site) ,also be sure that drivers are installed (you
can find them in S1tool) now comes tricky part where you need to do in few seconds but first check is testpoint connected,so tricky part is that you need to disconnect testpoint and put battery while is sending loader or error will come up (phone will be ok)
I hope you will understand.

My guess is that the simlock-certificate on your phone was incompatible with your try to unlock the bootloader, which results in loss of radio-capability (and that means gsm/3g) There are about three different methods of unlocking your bootloader in the link you posted, if none of them work you're out of luck i would think.
great thanks smg; this means that if I'm not able to find a way to unlock my bootloader, I'll loos my radio-capability for ever!!! ???

Relock it first, usually your radio-capability comes back. (Provided you didn't flash a custom kernel yet, that should work fine, otherwise go back to stock firmware first)
If it comes back and you can't successfully unlock your bootloader, you're just limited to roms that don't require a custom kernel.
By the way: usually you can get a code from your provider in order to sim-unlock your phone, mine charges for it during the initial contractperiod, but after that they provide it for free. If you sim-unlock your phone using that code you're safe to unlock your bootloader too.
If you use third-party software to sim-unlock your phone, your mileage may vary (third-party apps use dirty hacks to do it, some hacks are supported by the bootloader unlocker some are not)
I had the same. My SIM-Card doesn't work and so I test my dad's SIM-Card and my brother's SIM-Card. But no one work. So i send my X10mini pro to Sony Ericsson and they repair it. I tryed to unluck the Bootloader twice and now it work I hadn.t problems! Now I'm happy with MINICM9

Hello.
I have the same problem.
What tutorial/choice did you made for your phone to work successefully with MiniCM9?
Hi all,
I installed MiniCm7 on my X10 mini pro using these instructions :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1415026
And for unlock the bootloader these instructions :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1254225
No problems during this steps, when I reboot my phones MiniCM worked perfectly but there was no service and I couldn't connect the phone on the network.
So, I tried to reinstall the stock version of Android with SEUS but the problem is still here....
If somenon knows the origin of this problem, this could really help me!

The reason for manufacturers to ship their phones with locked bootloaders in the first place is to guarantee that carriers don't get burdened with users messing up their phones, and allowing the carriers to run their own proprietary software (which they say gives them added value over the competition).
So, in order to allow users to mess with their phones, some very clever people hacked the security-mechanism of the bootloader.
Unfortunately, that hack for the Xperia X-devices is not perfect, and can disable the radio-capability of your phone (resulting in loss of network-access/unrecognised sim-cards) if the simlock-certificate on your phone is non-standard.
If that happens, the only way to hopefully get it back is to relock your bootloader so it looks original again.
(I'm not sure if you read the thread on unlocking the bootloader, but there is good reason for the big warnings in red letters about checking your sim-lock certificate with S1Tool before unlocking, and the risks involved in that)
In short: The cause of network-loss the OP reported, wasn't caused by the software, because even back on stock firmware it still occurred. So the cause must be the other thing he messed with
And repairint your phone with sony-ericsson's software does not relock the bootloader.

You can still root it no problem, just not unlock bootloader.
However, you should still be able to unlock it via a paid for service. (Someone correct me if I am wrong)

No need to correct you
Paid service like SETool Box(which I personally advise), omnius, wotan server(they provide SIM unlock, not sure about bootloader unlock).
Also having this in mind: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=25802604&postcount=144
if older than 12W14, only official unlock (of course with previously removed SIM lock)

Yes.
Long story:
Technically, you can unlock it(bootloader) now, it's just you won't be able to use it until you remove SIM lock, as SIM lock is also locking fastboot, which you need to access your unlocked bootloader.

I have one more question. With a custom kernel, does it really improve the overall experience?
I'm on ICS now and the phone isn't up to my expectations being honest. It's not as fluid and responsive as it should be even that I use a custom ROM (ICS pureness). So I wonder if a kernel would benefit the overall usage.
Above all, I find it troubled to do multitasking. It often needs to reopen the apps and it feels slow and games and apps lag even with the new Adreno drivers (I'm using Holo Launcher). I tried supercharging it a few months ago but I didn't notice it that much on ICS. Maybe JB runs better??
I'm seriously thinking about going back to GB. It feels snappier and more responsive. Altough I don't want to... :crying:

How you unlocked it? What program you used?
Did you try with different SIM cards?
I bought a code obtained from my phone model, carrier and IMEI.
Then I introduced another SIM card from a different carrier and my phone asked for that code. So, I introduced it and my phone now can be used with other carriers.
Then I inserted my SIM card again and I checked my phone unlock status. And it says 'no'.

start flashtool, click on lightning icon and select fastboot mode, click on "get ver info" and "get device info" in the main flashtool window you should see some info.

It seems I cannot enter in fastboot mode within either one. In fact, after entering in flash mode (holding down back button) my phone always enters in flash mode except if I hold down the menu button, in which case it enters in normal (charging?) mode.
