You should buy iPhone in the first place if you love iPhone.
But seriously, I don't think there is an iOS emulator available for android.
Anyways here's some google suggestions based on the same here at XDA.

Coolsandie.. I prefer android's customiziblity more than ios... But I juat wanna try an ios system to test it...

I agree, if he likes the phone he should get it.
They do offer a trial period, and all three major US carriers carry it.
I found this page via a search. going through three pages on google only one looked promising, but the developer page disappeared with no explanation before the kickstarter funds were picked up. They halted donations after that.
This page, on the first page was the only page that didn't appear to be a scam or spam. Many didn't even do IOS, they just threw in a bunch of keywords. Perhaps someone will see this thread and either develop an emulator, or direct us to one. After all this page was high on the list.
Searching specifically here, I found a thread that ended up a Happy Birthday Pandemic thread.
I am just trying to run a legit app that is made for IOS that the developer didn't want to rewrite for Android.

You love 'I phone'? Alight. Your title is REALLY misleading.
Way 1: install Windows on your android first and run an iOS SDK second.
Way 2: download an iOS theme compatible with your current launcher.
Way 3: sell you android to by an iPhone3G/3GS.
Way 4: ... ...

Try joyos its an iphone themed rom:good:

If you're hoping to get close to an iOS-like experience via emulation you're going to be disappointed

Really is there one? There is no such Emulator on android. I also tried to search, and found out even iOS can't be emulated properly on computer. You can emulate only your created apps. There is one called iosonandroid.com or .net but it is total fake.

Haha what a ridiculous idea. An iOS emulator running on top of an android VM.
Considering how shi* android runs in it's very own VM the whole idea is a joke.
Get an iphone.

iphones a joke rather stick to android so less limited even if you are jailbroken

I totally agree with you. Not just iPhone, but every Apple device is a joke.
Just notice, Apple brought personal computers and Mac OS.Windows, Linux etc knocked it out. Apple pioneered in Smartphones. Now totally thwarted off by Androids. Even Chinese clone phones are better that iPhone.

Sorry, but what u wrote is really embarrassing. I'm NOT an apple fan and I prefer using android much much more than iOS. But apple was the start of all that and Jobs its inventor. Without Apple, Windows and Linux wouldn't be that far advanced as they are today. Apples inventions and OS X's progress is the basis of today's computers. That's the fact we have to admit, no matter how badly we hate apple or not.
It's really cheeky to write something like u did, It's disrespectful towards apples former work. That's what I wanted to tell you.

NO YOU ARE TOTALLY WRONG.
It was C which started all this OS business. It was Dennis Ritchie who made C language should get credit. NOT APPLE
All Windows, Apple iOS are created by C.
If someone deserves credit, then it is Dennis Ritchie.

Exemption that makes rooting legal about to expire

Not sure when or the likeliness of this not getting extended but thought it'd be worth sharing. The exemption that makes jailbreaking the iphone and rooting android is going to run out and if it doesn't get extended, these activities could be deemed illegal.
http://gizmodo.com/5879180/jailbreaking-or-rooting-your-phone-could-become-illegal-again-fight-it

I thought it was all about Apple too, but they did make reference to Android in the article. But it never was that big of a deal before with Android, was it? I just hope carriers don't look at this as an opportunity to pounce on the users.

I am sure they can twist the Legalese to say that you own the device, but Apple merely let's you lease software at no cost to you. This means that they still own the software, and if you modify it, it's illegal.
Gotta love EULA's. Check out iTunes one, it actually says that you cannot use iTunes to develop nuclear weapons... I am sure they could easily hide the "We own the software, so you cannot jailbreak it" somewhere.
Should not apply to Android, since it is open. Google could possibly pull a very **** move, and say if you root it, you lose the license to use gapps and market, but that is highly unlikely.
Android is and always will be open source. As long as android is Linux based rooting and modding android will always be legal.

This, all of this. I don't care what they do for Apple's ****ty software and operating system, but Android is open source and is licensed under ASL2.0. You can read about it all here: http://source.android.com/source/licenses.html
ASL2.0 is basically granting permission to do anything with it so long as the license is distributed with it, and that you indicate what exactly you've changed in each file you've changed.
Open source is open source is open source.

Paranoia? Wouldn't trust myself with one personally. (I like guns, but I don't have sufficient training to use one responsibly, and I don't believe that 99% of people do either.) But this isn't a gun debate ;-)
Insane to try and make 'rooting' illegal. What a complete waste of the earths resources. Only reason for this is to try and please the money makers.

I AGREE!! the way I see it once I give them money for the device I can do what ever I want to it because it is no longer their property, it's mine!
so if they want to not honor warranties then that's fine but making rooting illegal it completely stupid and I don't see how they could stop people from doing so...

Its better to have an amateur website than no website at all. IMO, you'd probably be better off developing a decent mobile version of your website. Everything you want can be done through a smartphone browser pretty easily. Plus the same website will work on Android, iOS, Blackberry, etc instead of an app which would work only with one OS.

Yeah this is what a dev just pmd me. Makes more sense to have a mobile friendly app. I think it would be neat to have an actual "Faldonis" app that opened the mobile version also. And yes... even though my website isn't easy on the eyes... it does have almost 40,000 visits to the home page
which like you say is better then nothing.

An Introduction

I am a fairly new member here and I must say that I love this place. This has been the most useful site I have ever come across, concerning things android. Tinkering with electronics and computers has been one of the things that came naturally to me and so getting my first android was pretty exciting as I've never cared for iOS or Blackberry platforms. I have always been interested in Linux, which probably helped in my decision to go with android ( price also played a factor lol ). My first android was an INQ Cloud Touch, which I immediately rooted, installed busy box and ROM toolbox. Nice phone, but sadly it was also my first and only hard brick. lol. A twitchy thumb and system files = a bad thing. Replacement phone was the HTC Status ( chacha ) which I couldn't get the bootloader unlocked ( did eventually thanks to xda, now running CM9 ). So I went looking for another phone and stumbled on the Samsung Galaxy Ace and fell in love with it. Thanks to these forums the Ace was the first phone I rooted and installed a custom rom on. It is also the one that I've gotten brave enough to try a few different scripts on to extend the internal memory.
My sincere thanks for all the developers here, and for the members willing to offer any help. This is the site I have been recommending to anyone I know who have expressed an interest in improving thier android experience. A little knowledge, some curiosity and a willingness to try anything, can be a great thing...unless you brick your phone, then experience is a teacher as well. lol.
Thanx again.
the ace is a nice phone with lots of dev support

Swipewheel - keyboard concept for touchscreen devices

Hi there!
I've just registered, nice to meet you all
I've came up with a concept of new type of "keyboard" for touchscreen devices (target: mobile phones), the tests went really great, and I am now patenting it. I would like to see your opinions or ideas.
Since I'm new here, Im not allowed to post links, please search "swipewheel" in youtube.
Thanks!

Nice to meet you, as well.
If the production of your wheel is as slick as your video, we are all in for a treat.

How do you tell the difference between backspace and caps lock? At a quick glance, they both look like counter-clockwise circles within the wheel.
This looks very interesting and intuitive, looking forward to getting my hands on this and taking it for a spin.

sounds interesting, but the website is down.
Very cool concept and the core idea is great. I felt like some of the other rules may become difficult to learn and weren't as intuitive as the initial demo so, if your goal is getting users to try it out, I'd suggest keeping your demo a little more concise.
Unique idea though, love the thought process.

Tizen vs Android

Hey guys,
I have checked out some other posts on the site with similar themes. I still wanted to ask from a dev stand point why tizen over Android? Or why not? I have been learning programming for some time now with the goal of Android in mind. Now that I am to that point.. Tizen? HTML 5?
MY QUESTION IS.. Do you think that the OS itself is superior in ANY way to that of Android? Anything from a development view would be great most of the info I have found on it just says it needs more apps and other than that it is not bad but not specifically good.
Thanks! :victory:

But only for one year. Its just a trick to lure devs to Tizen.
And the fact that they always keep a contest after releasing a new hardware(Gear) or software(bada app challenge, tizen etc). But, the truth, after what samsung did with bada, and its users, only the most brave and courageous people will accept Tizen and its smartphones. Anything samsung touches is total shi!storm! They dont know anything about OS, they are just a bunch of hardware making guys, and when it comes to software, they take a dump on their own face.
Leave them after 1yr
