Are your "recent apps" in the horizontal, Sense-type display, or the stock, vertical JB stack?
Thanks!

Apex here. Recent apps still in Sense format
Ah, I figured that would be the case, but was hoping it wasn't.
Thanks.
Nova here, same as sense

Well, is there any program that makes Android menu "sideways" instead of down? List is soo long, would be much easier just to scroll sideways.
If this has been asked before, sorry, but couldnt find any when I searched
What menu specifically?

If you mean your application menu, i believe ADW launcher has a setting for this (or LauncherPro).. i forgot which one it exactly was, but i've seen it for sure with one of these
That of course, if you mean your application menu
Sorry, yes, application menu, but if I get adw or launcher.pro, do I have to get rid of sense then?

That...is a very good question.
I only used ADW or LauncherPro on non Sense builds. I honestly have no idea if they work with Sense too..

ADW launcher replaces the sense launcher... And it's the one that has the horizontal application scroller. There must be a way to do side scrolling though inside some app drawers like Launcher Pro and SenseUI.

Crap, don't want to replace Sense.
Anyone else maybe know this?
Sorry, but bump?
I have been trying a lot of android builds and I guess that the only place where I came across the horizontal scrolling option were in non-sense ( ) builds. I prefer sense too... so its a shame. Hoping someone can help with this one ..
Is there a way for me to use the lower portion of my homescreen(s), the section normally reserved for tray items, for random normal shortcuts and widgets? I am currently running .14 with ADW.

You should be able to hide the dock just fine. Though I have adw ex so not sure about regular adw.
I remember someone saying you had to be rooted to do that but don't hold me to it.
Apologies, I too am running ADW Ex, on a rooted .14.
Back to searching ;p
When honeybar is updated to work on ICS it will minimize the taskbar.

But the honeybar dev has stated it probably won't be updated for ics!
That's too bad, because I was looking at that too ;/
Anyone having the issue where the launcher has the menu (the grey bar with 3 dots - not the scrollbar) on the bottom taking up space. both launcher pro and go launcher EX do it, however, Nova does not... the thing is, i like go launcher ex, but the menu bar annoys the crap out of me
adw launcher ex, which was the launcher of choice on my OG, made me so pissed that i got rid of it after about 35 minutes. that bar sucks nut.
sadly, i went back to sense. go launcher was decent on the OG. really decent. it also has the sh1tty menu bar
I got apex, but I really like the 3D app drawer like the nexus s... Oh well, at least it doesn't have the bar. Go laucher pro ex is the best but it has the bar. Blah
I want things like Camera and Wallet on my lock screen, but not on my normal interface dock. I have the HTC Launcher set up with everything I want on my lock screen, and then I'm running Nova on top of that. No dots at the bottom, just pure ICS bliss.

EXACTLY my setup too.
I'm playing with Nova Launcher Prime. Still in beta but pretty good
Glad to hear nova doesn't show the menu button. It's my favorite launcher. Now I just need my Evo LTE
sent from 2yr old Evo on ICS
same problem with Go Launcher....
Most ROMs allow you to remove that button now.

But if you delete it you wont have a menu correct?
Hello,
I am using NOVA launcher on my Galaxy S-5. I have just two home screens set in the app. I see this vertical bar with 4 sections on far right when I am on the 2nd page of the home screen. I see the same bar on left hand side of the screen when I am on the 1st page of home screen.Any ideas how can I remove this?
Thanks in advance...
Not sure that's a Nova thing... Been using Nova for a couple years and have never seen it do that with any amount of screens. I've played with about every setting under the hood and can't think of one that would do that. It's not the wallpaper or a app sidebar launcher?
Thanks for your reply!
Actually, I figured it out. As soon as I changed the wallpaper to something else from the NOVA setttings, it disappeared! So I am guessing its some kind of themed wallpaper that comes with Nova launcher which tells you when you are at first or last page of the home screen.

Hi, anyone know how to change the grid size to more than 5x5? Thats just silly on a screen this of this size and resolution.
I am on the point of adding Nova launcher but holding off until I have exhausted the standard settings as most other thing I am like are already included.

Stock doesn't allow that, that I can see. Nova it is.
I use Nova not only for the grid size, but also for the icon packs and for the reverse parallax wallpaper scrolling view. I also put a drop shadow under the icons to give them more of a 3D look. And I have my app drawer with black background to clearly differentiate between my desktop screens and my app drawer.
Lots of settings to customize.
Hi, yes, all of the above :good:
Have used Nova for many years and looks like there are just too many advantages to miss.
Are the stock launchers completely inactive while Nova is running?
I have removed stock launchers before or trebuchet from CyanogenMod /lineageos but never knew if there was any need.

Yes, the stock launcher/ROM launchers are inactive while Nova is the primary launcher, but I end up freezing them in Titanium Backup. Otherwise when there's some kind of launcher update I get asked all over again which one I want to use.
But even on non rooted phones for friends I'll install Nova. Just too many tweaks I can't pass up.
Hi, back on Nova already. Good tip about freezing the others :good:
Can't imagine life on an un-rooted phone :silly:
