My Problem is that I'm currently making a rom for i9300 (SGS3).
It's based on stock Sammy TouchWiz.
Most methods to Change the wallpaper didn't work.
I searched a half hour but I cannot find anything about that topic.
I already unpacked, rooted and de-odexed the rom with android kitchen.
Now I'm trying to Change the default wallpaper.
Somebody knows how to?

Have you tried tried de-compiling framework-res.apk and then changing the default_wallpaper image to the image you want to use as the default wallpaper then, recompiling framework-res.apk, and replacing the original framework-res.apk with the one you edited?
Shoot - no need to decompile - just drag and drop with 7-zip... it's only a jpg so you won't break anything.. check the /res/drawable-*dpi folder for your device
@alteredlikeness I already Trier this but there is no default wallpaper in the apk.
@shimp208 I'll try this and post my results here.

Hi, I hope this is the right place for a question since nobody replied on the HTC Subsection.
I'm on a stock gingerbread Sense Rom (rooted though ). When I was running froyo, the circle on both the homescreen & inside the messaging application was blue.
After the upgrade, they are different. I want to change them back to blue. I have downloaded the stock 1.32 froyo pd98img.zip but I'm not able to find the blue png. Can someone point me to the location ?
Those aren't icons. They're popups or something like that. You can find them in either htc.resources.apk or framework-res.apk (I forgot which one). I'm at work right, but if you want I can find the files for you when I get home. If you post RGB of the color you want I'll create it for you to flash to your phone, just post the above files for me.
I would like your help. I have uploaded the old froyo com.htc.resources.apk & framework-res.apk to mediafire. I think froyo didn't use systemui.apk.
Should i upload com.htc.resources.apk, framework-res.apk & systemui.apk from the current gingerbread build as well?
Alternately if you could just point me on the values to change via apktool, that would be great as well.
Thank You

Is it possible to remove the home screen from a rom with android 2.3.4 and sense 2.1, by editing the rom itself.
I know that the android version 2.3.4 (cool ic sense) doesn't allow this function, as it was added later in newer android versions (or sense versions?).
Either way, is it possible to go inside the rom and edit the sense launcher, so that it only shows 3 screens for example.
i dont know how its on sense rom but on xperia u need to change xml file inside home.apk.
here u have guide for Xperia Play maybe it helps:

I couldnt find the xlm file.
Sense roms have rosie.apk as usersibterface.
I've searched in it, but couldn't find it.
Perhaps i should search for something else ? Anyone ?

So I've seen lots of screenshots of others Galaxy S3's and the bar at the top is all blue. Are they using a custom rom or is it stock? How are they doing this? Having trouble searching for it because it searches for the blue colour of S3 instead of a blue ui . Thanks
Cm9 more than likely, if not... then a theme from the theme section.
I'd love to know where the xml is to edit the statusbar_background. Anyone have any ideas?
Good bye HTC Rezound, hello Galaxy S3!
I think its in SystemUI.apk in the res folder. You will need to decompile, make your edits, recompile the apk, then either push back to the phone with adb or write an installer script and zip flash it in cwm.
To answer your question simply, they are running custom rom's

Dear XDA,
I've been lurking the forum for a solution to installing custom fonts on Westcrip's Resurrection Remix 3.1.2 ROM for Galaxy S2.
On Gingerbread, a single .ttf file overwrite sufficed for a global font change. On ICS, bold and italic .ttf files had to be supplied as well, because ICS is more versatile and can take advantage of different font styles.
Now, I just changed to JB and tried to use my previous-working zip update containing SonySketchEF for ICS, but to no avail. I tried manually changing the font files by following this guide, but my effort was still fruitless. Now I'm starting to suspect that the JB ROM doesn't actually use the /system/fonts files at all, seeing as all the Roboto files have been overwritten and my phone has not updated with the latest fonts..
My question is: Does anyone have a working update.zip for custom fonts? Or perhaps a valid guide on how to do it myself? Googling for "JB custom fonts" only returns threads such as 'herp derp here are the fonts from JB to use on your ICS ROM', which is not what I need.
Thank you.

Trafiq
I am currently working on a rom for the Galaxy Note 2. I ran into a problem and thought that I might find some help here, I have created a themed framework-res.apk however when I combine it into the rom zip file and flash it it does not boot. For it to boot I need to first flash the rom (without the themed framework), boot, then flash the themed framework. The themed framework-res is from a different base of the rom so it might be the cause of this. I can redo the theming on the original framework from the rom but I made a lot of xml changes and would not like to redo those. Is there a way I can combine it into the rom zip file and make it work ?
Thanks
Edit : Managed to solve by moving the xml and png files to the original framework from the rom
