Is there somebody out there who can help me out with the stock video player.
The problem is that the video preview "scrol" cant be refreshed/renewed.
When i delete or rename a videofile it keeps showing up in the preview and nothing changes.
Even when i move the complete folder to an other place.
Only when i select a movie in the preview scrolbar, its giving an error, file corupt not complete.
How can i solve it, a reboot does work only with the deleted files but not with the renamed ones.
Have you tried to clear the cache of the video player in applicant management?

Hi.
How do i get there?
Or do you mean system monitor?
Settings -> Apps -> All. Find your video player app in the list of apps, click on the video player app and select Clear Cache.
Hope it works, good luck.

Thx, just looked but can't find anything of a videoplayer .........
Try clearing the cache of the app called Media Center
If that doesn't work try Settings -> Repair & Formatting -> Reset multimedia library
Good luck.

Strange thing has happened. YouTube has always been on the last page of my app drawer. Makes sense really as its in alphabetical order.
This morning i noticed that it has disappeared and been replaced with an app called Flash Player. The Flash Player app is simply a link to a web page regarding settings for local storage or peer something or other.
YouTube is still installed on the phone. When I selected a video through the browser it gave me the option to play it through YouTube, which worked. But I can't understand why the icon has gone from the app drawer and been replaced with one for Flash Player. I can't delete the Flash Player app and can't figure out how to get YouTube back on to the app drawer screen.
HELP!!!!!!!!!

I got my S3 today.
I have a strange problem.
When I stream any video with stock video player, mx player or from browser (HTML5), I get only sound. See no video.
Only Vplayer displays video, but this does not solve my problem cause I watch online movies from HTML5.
I didn't have this problem with my previous HTC One X. So I'm sure the sites I watch movies from are compatible with Android.
Anyone had this problem? Any solutions?
BTW, if I stream with stock video player it displays a message saying "Playind audio data only"
Any help will be appreciated
My device is not unlocked, I'm on stock ROM.

Solved with Omega ROM.
I downloaded several mp3's onto my phone and they aren't showing up in the HTC Music app or the Google Music app. I can play them once I select them off the file manager though.
I'm not using a sd card by the way.
Any ideas?
forgot to mention that I'm in MeanRom v3.1

I had the same problem with Play Music. It would recognize both local and cloud-stored songs for a bit, and then "forget" about the locally-stored files. Rescan/reboot didn't help. I haven't found a solution.
The HTC music app still sees my local files, though.
Try to clear the caches and data for those music apps... That will force them to rescan your media.

This works until you reset the phone. Don't know what else to do.

I have an issue. It happens when there is a flash video or something to play. Like if I open a site containing a review of a phone like gsmarena or phonearena, if the particular page contains a video, then the torrent app starts. Dunno what the issue is.. anyone pls help if possible. Dunno whether it is ROM related, I'm running omega v35 stock kernal. I think i also had this issue while using foxhound 1.4. Pls help.

Logic says look at the app settings .
No luck then freeze the app or uninstall it until its required .
You could also try wiping cache and dalvik cache and fix permissions .

Cache and dalvik cache is wiped. And if I have to uninstall the app or freeze it, then the use of the app becomes pointless Na? Is there any fix for this??
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda app-developers app
Have you tried to reset the torrent app defaults? You might have associated the torrent app with that particular content or file type.
Settings > applications manager > installed apps > torrent app > clear defaults

What app are you using?
Ttorrent had a bug with their app which did exactly what your saying. But they fixed it with an update about a week ago.
If it's a problem with the app, then just change it. There are plenty of good torrent apps.

Remove any YouTube update, force close, clear settings on app, clear cache on app, reboot.
That fixed it for me. Good luck.
