Can you share example of flash ? - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Right now I have 4.1.2 I9300NEDLI1
I don't want to ask which flash via odin is the best bc I want to see few if them. I don't want to root phone juz flash via Odin.
I know everything is in this forum but this UI forum isn't clear for me and hard to search what I want. So can you link :
1. Which flash is the fastest ( fast, smooth UI, no freezeing, etc )
2. Which flash is nice looking ( like miui rom -its root right ? )
Im noob and know only how to use Odin.
And i don't want to spend all day learning. That why ppl asking somebody who mey know answer. Please if you want to be mean, ironic, malignant, etc don't answer.

So, just so I can understand. You want to know which ROM is the best but you replaced the word ROM with FLASH, right?

firstly if you want to know what rom is best use the search button in the forum and see other threads with the same question that you have..reason im saying that alot of people ask the same question so you could read what they have posted and what people suggested to them..also read the following link and that would give a good idea about rooting

Welcome to the Galaxy SII community.
Obviously you did a search to find this site. Would it not have been a good idea to use the Search within this site to see if your question had already been answered already? This search would have came up with the same answer to the 'which ROM is the best' - there is no such thing. There are newer versions of the stock (Samasung) ROM you have. There are also customised ROMs available, these are designed to suit the requirements of the person who built them -performance, style, battery life, etc. It is the equivlent of asking, what is the best food - it is all down to personal taste.
My advise is to play around with your phone and get to know it. Have a good read around here so you are more informed. Try out an updated stock rom. Then by all means try out different custom roms to see which one is the best for you (don't forget to really read up before you do anything).
I would say the Dungeon is the best witch room, but only if it has an en-suite caldron.

Got a Galaxy S2. Now what?

Hello. I came here from the Xperia X10 mini forum, because i just got a S2
Thing is i don't know what to do with it. With the SE it was different, I was a SE user my whole life, so I was up to date with how to do things on SE droids (root, flash with flashtool, etc.). But i have 0 experience with samsung.
I have:
PDA: I91000XWKE2
BASEBAND: I9100XXKDJ
KERNEL: 2.6.35.7-i9100xwke2-cl187606 [email protected] #2
It's running droid 2.3.3 and I cant update with KIES because it gives me windows encountered a problem etc etc... the old send dont send but on windows 7 (x64).
So I would like to flash it to a 2.3.5 rom and root it. Can anyone explain how do I do this? I don't know what and where to search because I'm new to samsung.
So far i have downloaded ODIN 1.85 and a found this "GT-I9100_OXA_I9100XXKI3_I9100XXKI3_I9100OXAKI3" file. What do i do with it? (also explain steps plz).
I never had a smartphone in my life before I got my SGS2, and I managed to flash all the ROMs without creating threads with questions that are answered in stickies. But maybe I'm a genius, not anyone can be one.
So, try here for starters.. or just search around.
install this kernel and read all the texts.

You should now be root and have cmw recovery, and you can flash pretty much any rom you want.
Not to familiar with teh sony's but i assume you had clockwock mod recovery?
Odin to flash, cf root to flash as kernel to allow root and get cwm, cwm to flash a custom rom as a quick guide on what to search. Generally reading around will help.

Ty for the reply guys. Really apreciate the help and am reading everything you posted.
But 1 thing: witha ll respect, stop acting like I'm using up your personal space, I opened this thread for a reason, because i dont understand sh!t, and reading wont help unless i start to read the very beginning.
When i was at the Xperia thread, i used a program called Flashtool to flash a new generic rom to my X10 mini pro. It also updated the baseband (and basebands where important when i flashed a custom ROM, you needed to have latest baseband and kernel to flash X,Y,and Z custom roms).
I just want to update to the original samsung 2.3.5 ROM with odin (as kies sucks and wont work) and the rest will be easy. Don't want CWM and root yet, just a plain stock 2.3.5 rom. I just wanted to know if i can flash THAT file (first post, long text) to my phone with ODIN.
Again, thank you very much for the support, and will continue to read everything you guys post here.
It's easy to say search for this and search for that when you know exactly what to search for. In my case, I dont even know where to begin. And i would like to finish this "job" in the next 2 hours, as after that its time to sleep :/

No offence mate but when I moved from an HTC to a Samsung based device I was a newb then to, coming from another phone to different methods to another new method I got to grips with everything just reading around.
To answer your questions, yes you can flash a stock rom using odin, all you need is to check out intratechs thread in original development section, as of now KJ3 is the latest 2.3.5 firmware, download a frankenstein version and read his thread which had a guide on what to put where.

Your original post mentioned you wanted to root it hence I gave you the easiest way of doing so is to flash cf root, searching cf root would have given you that thread plus instructions within that thread.

well i flashed that rom i pasted there and it worked. Was simple once i knew i need to put that in PDA and start it.
Yes i know about CF root and will be my next move. Thank you so much for everythingyou posted (again). And will REread every post again for extra knowledge. Need to forget everything i know about SE and learn new stuff.

[Q] about gingerbread roms

hello.. please if you comment and redirect me to the non sense topic that relates to the "try yourself the rom , infracted bla bla bla" it's a free thread you know..
because that guy knows absolutely nothing about noobs like us.. we learn from teachings and feedbacks not from learning mistakes like bricking a phone and you cant use it again ( in cyber world ) so please dont comment if you have nothing to say or just make me feel sad.. and ASKING QUESTIONS ARE NOT THAT BAD TO ANSWER RIGHT?
so here it goes.. i have an ICS.. and it wont suit me because i'm a gamer.. and yeah.. i cant play HD games like starfront or 9mm .. after 5minutes of playing they will be forced to close saying "unfortanetely the game crashes..." .. is there any UPDATED Gingerbread Custom Rom that can play games specially i can flash it via CWM and not THRU odin? because i here other people that ICS cant run them and they're having issues..
you can understand me if you're in a state like mine.. please UNDERSTAND
P.S : thanks alot
Your better flashing through Odin though, just go to sammobile.com and download a stock GB ROM for your phone, the latest is 2.3.6. I have only ever known to be able to flash ICS ROM's in CWM (I may be wrong) but just use Odin, but it will completely wipe the phone, not SD Card though.
Chris.
P.S. I see you said "custom," well all GB ROM's were stable anyway, and gaming was not a problem. A good GB custom ROM on here is the likes of CheckROM v6.
tnx bro.. but i'll just recover my backups hhe tnx again ..

. Sorrt if i m eing stuoid but i really dont wanna brick my new device :/ thanks
Then read the basics first 30 seconds does not give you any knowledge .
Use CF root from development is probably the simplest method if you follow the instructions .But i fail to see why you want to root a device when you dont even know what root is .
jje
I read it all, i know what rooting is about, i wanna root, but at the sametime i dont wanna brick my device! I want adocker, titanium backup
Thank you for ur time
if you read it all, then you already know how to root, and that you posted in the wrong section
Its like we should beg you for little help?? EXCUSE ME if i posted in the wrong section its not a big deaal! I thought it was a site for helping noobs like me sorry for bothering u but i expected more help from u guys..
You have all needed help in the threads that were outlined for you. Read and make. That's all. We won't write for the 123456th time things already present everywhere on the internet. I personally used Samsung s3 toolkit that you can find in original android dev stickies thread.
I just followed what is written.
Noone is going to spoonfeed you, go read it yourself like we all did

This is the thread for going back to stock, but I don't know if it works without a Pc. Maybe mobile odin is a possibility. Search for it, if it hasn't been asked jet then go ahead and ask.
Verstuurd van mijn GT-I9100
Omg no idea how to handle that topic so another question am i gonna be able to update my phone to 4.2.2 when its gonna be released with custom rom via settings-> check for updates? If not guess im gonna go to some service saloon to recover old stock :/
Mobile Odin.

At least expain me how to use it what files and what files do i need..... i dont wanna mess my phone cause idk how to use it some sort of guide mayby?
Want me to explain?
Ok, it'll flash any stock ROM you want by itself, no pc needed, only root.
More info? Search for it, watch a vid or something.

If that would be so easy for me i wouldnt bother myself with creating a thread here . I dont know what is flash and as far as i know i need some files to do that and i have to put them in some directory internal/external sd. I cant go to yotube cause my data plan doesnt count yt as free website so its charging me for streaming .So if someone care to help i would apreciate (browsing tons of threads with phone is painfull) so if you can help post me a guide if not dont bother to use reply button .
That's all good & well, but this is how everyone here learns stuff. If you're not prepared to learn, leave your phone stock lest you break it (I can almost guarantee if someone regurgitates 10 steps for you & you don't understand the why & how, you will have an expensive 'accident').
Or you could take the time to read the guides & stickies and learn.
You also need to lose the sense of entitlement. Nobody here owes you anything/XDA isn't like your carrier you paid money to for a certain level of 'service' (You're on ignore now, so I won't be reading any response to this).
Edit - Messing with your phone without access to a PC & not being prepared to learn a few things probably doubles your chance of turning your phone into a 116 gram plastic paperweight.
