That one is only for windows correct?
I still don't see the "software" link under "all downloads", only the PDF manual. I'm on the page via desktop browser and the URL is non-mobile. Do you have the direct download link?

You can always try the download link for Tmo variant. Should be the same:
http://downloadcenter.samsung.com/c..._T889_Note_II_Samsung_USB_Driver_v1_4_6_0.exe
When I first plugged my phone into my Windows 7 machine, it showed up as a CD Drive. Double clicked on this and the driver .exe was in there. Installed this and everything is up and running.

To get this to happen for mine, I had to plug it in, it installed some stuff, then I had to remove it and plug it back in, then the "CD Drive (VERIZON)..." or whatever showed up that had the installer files in there...Thanks for the heads up.
Samsung Note 2 SCH-i605
The driver for the Samsung Note 2 SCH-i605 should be on the phone already.
When you connected to your PC using a USB cable, it should automatically install.
I had some links on here from the samsung dot com site.
One for PC requirements, one where you can download Kies to sync your pc to your phone, and the online chat support,
But since I'm a new user here. I can't use outside links. sorry
NOW WITH THAT ALL SAID AND DONE.
I'm having trouble with my driver and believe it may be corrupt, or there's a setting placed on the Verizon phone thats not allowing it
Kies is reporting my device is not supported. I'm on day 3 with the Samsung tech support and looking to download a driver from another site myself.

If you are using Windows 8 Dev Preview and download the drivers directly from HTC they are now supporting us! I redownloaded them today for ****s and giggles, lo and behold they work now!

Looks cool but it must be connected to same network (192.168.1.xx)!
I dont really know if you want it to immediately install, but if you dont then use some cloud storage etc. Dropbox, Box, Google Drive and then download it to your phone. But if you want it to be immediately installed after you send it then I am afraid I cant help you.
I think the best way would be some kind ofvpn network way to remote control Your phone

I Will agree with the cloud storage options.
They are easy to set up and is flexible.

Yes! Omg. You guys lack the answer he wants! You log in to the play store on your computer, using the same info as on your phone. Then, find the app you want on your computer and click install. Choose your device, and bam. Done.

that is what i want! But i want to send any apk that way!
Well, if you could upload your apk to there, that would be the best way. You might have to design your own app, unless you can figure out a way to adb over the internet, then you could use adb push and adb install.
Other than that, you have to make your own api for it. And it would only work on rooted phones.

I have Motocast on my Motorola Droid 4 which lets me view/access any file on my computer as long as both my phone and laptop are connected to the internet and I have the Motocast software running on my computer.
Are there any similar apps that work on non-Motorola Android devices?
Thanks

I use ES File Explorer which can access shared folders via LAN. No software is needed on the host computer other than setting up the shared folder(s).
How do you reach the PC if it's nat'd behind the router?

I'm pretty sure you have to go into settings and network options. You may have to change your router settings to allow access as well.

Dude, I was having the same damn thing. I was hooking it up to my ACer W500 and it would not recognize it at all. It kept giving me a USB Error (port reset error) or some crap like that. I did a factory refreshm still no go. I went as far as reloading Windows and still no go... So I thought, let me hook it up through a UBS Hub and blam, it worked... Strangest ****! My SGS3 worked fine but the Note 2 wouldnt. I still havent figured it out but it worked through the hub... Give that a try,
I highly doubt you looked up the drivers. Theirs links all over this forum and believe it or not you can get them from SAMSUNGS website wow! If you can't even install drivers please don't root/unlock it.

I'm having an early issue trying to root this phone. When I click to get my token I get a prompt that tells says device not found. I've uninatalled and reinstalled the driver 3 times with same result. Oddly though...just as the drivers were done installing I get a blank black prompt window...it kinda flashes then disappears. It seems almost as if the drivers didn't install correctly but they do show up in my programs on my PC. Any ideas?

Ok well you shoud know whether or not you installed HTC Sync Manager, because it would have prompted you to do so when you plugged your phone in for the first time to your PC.
Also, just to clarify, when you click Get Token ID, nothing happens at all? Or does your phone make it into the bootloader screen?

Have you rebooted your PC since you installed the drivers, tried unplugging your phone and plugging it back in to ensure the drivers have installed? You may need to clean up your drivers - there is a tool you can use, I will point it your way. But let me know if you've performed a reboot
Just saw your last post: Make sure now that your HTC Sync is completely closed before you use the toolkit. And by completely exit, I mean you must find the icon in your system tray once you close the program, and right click + Exit. Then try the tool again.

Here is where you need to go, make sure you login - Select the HTC M8 on the list and it will walk you through the process of unlocking your bootloader. However, I am unfamiliar with the toolkit as I am running a mac, and unlocked my bootloader and rooted through different methods. But that is the web-page you must go to. I'm guessing the instructions on the toolkit instruct you to go through that process outlined at the HTC-Dev website.
Still no dice...I'm getting a blank web page when I click the submit token button.

Did you go to the website I provided? You can get your unlock token by following the steps provided on the website.
I suppose I should say that if you are not familiar with running fastboot commands and getting your phone into the bootloader then you probably shouldn't use the website there....Perhaps post on the thread for the toolkit to see if anyone can figure out why its not working for you

OK, so I was able to fix the web page issue. It was a problem with Firefox...I uninstalled it and now I'm able to open the toolkits Dev and token pages but I have another dumb issue. I swear I'm not this dumb but when I copy the token and paste it into the webpage...it seems to only copy this < and nothing else. I tried it a few times with same result. I did close everything down and tried to copy a random chunk of token and it did copy/paste but now when I copy it pastes the same small chunk. I rebooted my PC in hopes to removing everything I have copied. We'll see...

I can now copy and paste the token but what would you know....another issue. It must be user error but I'm following the exact instructions. When I copy the code (token start to token end), paste it then click submit...it tells me "invalid boot loader token length". It appears to the look the same as the example given on the site. The guy that posted the video said that it didn't copy a few lines when he pasted his token and he had to manually input them in. I can't see what he was missing due to him blacking out his code. Has anyone else come across this?

If there is even an extra space at the end of the paste it will register invalid. You must make sure there are no spaces. That was often the problem whenever I ran into the same error. Make sure you don't delete any other symbols accidentally as well. It's very precise.

I'm pretty sure I was spot on with my copy. There's 4 > symbols before the token and 5 at the end. I copy from the 1st < all the way to the end. I'll do it again to make sure I didn't copy any blank spots...I'll update later on.

You were right. The token pastes one spot over to the right...so I manually backed up each line and it worked. Next I had the file emailed to me. I downloaded the file (unlock_code.bin) Im assuming that the file I need to use is the MiB.bin that's in my down load folder.
