Sound like you are super screwed. Well if the phone boot up to the vibrant screen, there's only one thing to do. Buy a new phone
Get it into DL mode by taking out battery and sim, holding the two volume buttons, then placing the battery back inside while still holding everything. Then let it sit in Dl mode so battery can charge i guess. then odin back should work.
if ya want to, you can ship the phone to me with $50 and ill fix it for you. if I cant fix it, ill ship it back to you with the $50. sound fair? PM me.

This is what I was asking you if your phone doesn't turn on at all whatsoever, you have a brick. At that point, there is nothing you can do to fix the phone other than replacing the motherboard. Maybe the battery is dead? check check check. If the screen lights up in any way or the buttons do, you can get into download mode and use odin to re-flash back to original firmware. If your phone doesn't light up at all, you cannot fix it.

[Q] Problem with the screen after flash

Hello all,
I bought a m250l from korea, and it was working well, I tried to flash Lightin' rom on that phone, and now I can turn on the phone, but the screen doesn't work (it only shows some weird yellowish dots everywhere, I think one of the users have this problem too, but I couldn't find the thread). I can see the led on the Home and Setting button, and when I press the screen, I still hear it ticking. I think the solution is to go to Setting -> Debug and turn the debug usb mode on and reflash, but I can't navigate with the screen off :|. Kies doesn't recognized my phone. Any solution?
Please help and thanks
First question has to be is the rom you flashed compatible with m250l .
Looks like you need the USB jig to attempt to get the phone into download mode .
jje
just make the usb jig, will post result
Hi, just made the usb jig, can someone please tell me if it's good ?(300k ohm resistances)

You have to power off the phone then insert the JIG, if it was made properly, you phone should go straight to download mode, if not try the button combination...

Samsung galaxy s2 hard bricked! help? :(

Basically during jailbreaking I unplugged the phone from the computer accidently. After that it just stopped working... doesnt turn on, no lights, no recovery mode or download mode. It just gets warm when I connect it to the computer to charge it. I tried the vol up / down + home button + power button but nothing has worked for me. I also took out the battery and tried it again. Will using a jig help me get into download mode?
Thank you so much!!! I am new here so I appreciate everyone who replies

Ok I will try the jig then. Do you have experience with it? I will post my results.
(btw I cant send it to a service center)
The JIG may work. If not, a JTAG might save it, if not, Samsung Repair Centre is your only hope. If your lucky, the phone wasn't actually rooted during the process, so they shouldn't deny you servicing.

Hi there,
Sorry to hear about your phone, the only way to recover from this sort of hard brick is JTAG or Samsung service centre repair.
Good luck!
Hope you get it fixed
Had the same problem a while back.
I'd downloaded the ROM, but stupidly did not check the MD5. Turns out that I'd gotten a corrupt ROM.
I flashed away. All went well until near the end (factoryfs.img) where Odin said FAIL. I was still in Download Mode.
Tried another flash, but Odin wouldn't see the device anymore. Worryingly, I pulled the device from USB and took out the battery.
Put it in again and turned it on. Well, I tried to turn it on. That was it. The phone was dead.
I had warranty, so I called Samsung and fooled them into thinking that my phone had died itself whilst I was charging it.
They charged me a small charge (£50 or something like that) and it came back, good as new.
From this day I always compare MD5s.
I'm sorry but there really is no way to fix a hard brick without the help of Samsung Repair Centers or JTAG.
Oh, well I am going to try using a jig first. I hope it works, you installed odin once you got into DL mode but it failed, correct? If that does not work... will the JTAG work? Is it really expensive? Thank you all for your help!
USB jig may work.
USB jig will defiantly work that i think.
if not, then after you should go to service center.
JTAG is the best option but its costly somewhat.
please click thankx if you find it helpful.
thank you.

Bricked phone? Or just plain dead broken,

Hi guys, I know perhaps im not suppoes to type this here. But, while following a guide for the ALLIANCE Rom. The powergrid in my building went down, and my phone is just wacked dead. I did start the ODIN procedure, went about 2 min and then poff. My phone wont start no matter what I do now, any tip on what I can do to get it runing again? Can't start in normal, recovery or download mode. I've tried soft and hard reset aswell, any ideas?

That I can indeed. But I do not have the time to wait, I need my cellphone, my old Rom and Kernel were really bad and laggy ,needed a new one, and found a recommended one. Since im on a buisness trip, getting a Jig and waiting for setting it up just won't work. Is there no other way? For example getting it on to the pc, booting it up in some way there getting it in DL mode and get the Stock Kernel or something?
Nope. If a jig doesn't work, it's either a JTAG (actually, it may be JTAG'able given it died during a flash), or some kind of hardware repair (maybe replace motherboard).
Not sure what you're expecting anyone here to say to you beyond "Try a jig", etc, etc ? Not like we can scatter some magic pixie dust & your phone will be all better.
If the phone won't boot, you've tried another battery & you have no download/recovery mode, you're toast. Or......maybe try King Rat's trick where he attempts to 'jump start' the phone without the battery using just the charger (search for his username then go thru his posts till you find the method). There's a 0.000000001% chance that might work.
Edit - If you're in the position of 'Your phone just has to work. All the time" (as you appear to be in), flashing anything on your phone is folly. If you really need it, that's the last thing you should be doing given the risks (tho normally small) involved.

Did my phone just SDS?

I was running my phone perfectly fine, and when I turned off the phone to replace the battery, it won't turn back on at all. The Samsung logo just loops repeatedly, and I can't get into Recovery mode at all. I can get into download mode, (sort of), by the conventional means, but when I press volume up to confirm download mode, I can't do so. The phone hangs for a second, and then restarts its self. Is this SDS? How do I get it fixed? I am in the USA, and I have a SGS III i9300. My phone information is below in my signature.

If it is sds, you wun be able to turn it on at all. Best if you can just send it to the service center for them to have a look.
Kernel problem maybe? Try a different one.
OK, it appears that I can get it into download mode if I run it off of USB power, and pull the battery as soon as I'm able to get into download mode. It will run in download mode if I keep the battery out, but as soon as I put a battery in with it plugged into a USB, it resets the phone. I was able to flash XXUGMK6_BTU onto the phone, but upon resetting the phone with the battery in it, it will not start. This is with both ZeroLemon batteries, and the stock Samsung battery.
Is there a way to fix this?

That's what I was afraid of. I called Samsung, and they said that I would have to send it to the UK in order to get it fixed. I would rather not have to send it halfway around the world for repairs if I don't have to.

I don't think it's that. Otherwise, how would it work running off of USB power? If the power button was stuck, I don't think it would run at all.
Sounds like a motherboard issue, double check that the battery connector pins are undamaged, but otherwise you need a new motherboard.

before you open the phone, try with another battery
When the SDS happens the phone is able to get into the download mode, but doesn't flash by Odin, if yours cannot get into the Download Mode, try a JIG USB

Well, $hit. That's what I was afraid of. It costs just as much to buy a new MB as it does to buy a new phone from what I've been able to find. It also costs almost as much to mail it off to UK as it does to buy a replacement SGS3. ($20 difference). Is there a cheap source for a new MB for the phone?
I can only boot into download mode if I pull the battery after I get into download mode, and run off of USB power. If I leave the battery in, I can't do anything in download mode, (such as confirm it), and it restarts in 5 seconds. Also, if I have the phone plugged in, and insert the battery, even the charge indicator bootloops.

No, the i9300 isn't a USA model and was never sold there, Samsung USA won't be able to do anything, probably won't even have any parts for it.
OH MY ****ING GOD! I FIXED IT! I used a combination between a new USB cable and a Samsung Emergency Recovery. IT WORKS!! God damn, I'm so happy I could cry! IT WORKS! **** YES!!! It doesn't seem to be able to take a custom ROM though. How can I get back to OmniROM?
good for you my friend... :good:
