These docks are non comfort for me. I would like to have a charging cradle where usb/data/charging port is statically located in the plastic part - Im lazy, I would like to only put the phone without connectinbg cables.

[Q] X10 Mini Pro Sucessor?

Is that true?
http://www.bgr.com/2011/04/04/sony-ericsson-xperia-x10-mini-pro-successor-spied/
isn't Xperia™ pro is the successor of Xperia mini pro?
maybe will be only a new pro with 2.3....
I prefer CM work
From my understanding this will be the "DUO"
So we have the ARC the big thin flagship
We then have the NEO which is almost the same as ARC but with a slower proc and slightly smaller screen. The PRO (or NEO PRO) is the same as the NEO but with a slide out keyboard - both the NEO and the PRO are quite large though. Then we also have the DUO which is a small form fatcor like the current MINI PRO.
So the DUO will be the replacement for the existing MINI PRO - ie a small form factor with a slide out keyboard.

i believe pro is the successor of our x10 mini pro.
even tho im not really sure, there's still haven't any prove on the new.
looks like a fake for me... the xperia pro es the successor for the x10 mini pro... the phone on that article looks like a x10 mini pro with some mods... maybe a chinese clone... definitely not a SE one... also, the user interface looks exactly as the 2.1 SE stock UI
Sony havent announce any new device other than xperia arc, play and pro. So thats indeed fake.

xperia neo and pro are not mini, they are so big as big x10, so have no point to say that they're sucessors of mini's
It doesn't have to be mini as the successor. And of Cox if it should be mini, then all those leaked images are fakes.

I don't care if it's not the succesor, it looks awesome, just waiting for the specs and if it's good enough, i'm soooo getting one.

Anyways, lets just wait for OFFICIAL announcement from SE.

[IDEA] XPERIA Play ROM

Dump Here:
For the key mapping, which i know would be an issue, i have ideas for that too
W - Up
A - Left
X - Down
D - Right
Home - Home
Back - Back
Menu - Menu
Search - Physical Z (Or On Screen Key)
Analogs - On Screens (We dont have analogs on our phones, so we need to have onscreen.)
For mini, we need To have it all Onscreen, but in Landscape mode they will pop up.
It should also be a option on the pro.
It would only work on the pro though because to use the sticks properly we need multitouch so I guess mini is out the window

Yeah, but wanna team up in creating/porting it?
man in pretty good with computers but i dont think i would be able to do something like this im not too good at coding i can do pc java and more basic android java but i think this would be real hard well maybe not the keyboard bit that might acrually be simple but sticks would be hard so we would probably need a guy like dark hes pretty good with apps
i think you can't port the control exactly
but my idea is port the control from a emulator app from the maket
This is how you get things done ,can't wait for this good luck lads

Not trying to kill ur idea but
Xperia play has much better specs than pro
Also when pro is overloaded there is an big delay from the keyboard
So right now it's impossible unless that rom will be ultra light

This is exactly what I was thinking about the port.
Xperia Play arm v7, and Xperia X10 Mini/Pro arm v6. It speaks to us about impossibility port!
Xperia Play arm v7, а Xperia X10 Mini/Pro arm v6. это нам говорит о невозможности портирования!

MiniUSB Camera for Video Calling

Is it possible?
Has it been done?
I mean, using a miniUSB cam for making video calls with a proper app.
It'd be so nice if SE would officially release a miniUSB Cam accessory for our X10...

Its very unlikely that SE would release such an accessory for the x10, when it would be useless with their current line of handsets. The only way a cam accessory would be added is if some was able to make appropriate miniusb drivers to support the use of a mini-usb cam
^^What he said, except it's micro USB...

If u need features the X10 doesn't have then buy a phone which suites your usage.
otherwise use a mirror

I thought he meant the camera would be mini, as in tiny or small... not the port type... but I could be wrong.

Actually I was referring to the port type.
You're right guys, it's microUSB. My bad
The psp 1000 could do this.. USB hosting was a native hardware feature.
The x10 may be capable.. but would require some hand written drivers and code.
Since SE hides the candy.
Build a mini periscope for the camera, using a couple of mirrors... It would probably be easier and more compact than the usb camera! Infact you could use a 1/4" headphone jack to hold it in place....
Might try this, it sounds doable!

I guess you're talking about the Xperia Mini? And not the X10Mini?
The Experia Mini is a 2011 device with touchbuttons for options and back, the X10Mini is a 2010 device with hardware-buttons for that functionality, so I think you're in the wrong forum.

Buy a Xperia mini or pro ?

Hi ,
I ve buy a Xperia mini last month, i ve already lost .
I will buy an other one next week ( i ve lost my blue card too, wait for another )
I don t know if i will buy a mini or pro because pro have front camera.
So, i want to know if mini pro is bigger than mini .
Thanks
Edit: xperia mini pro for 180€, is a good price ? ( unlocked bootloader )
150€ for mini
What other phone have 3'' screen ? ( and better than xperia mini ? )
Sorry for my bad english
The only GREAT difference is the hardware keyboard. Also, it is the main reason for me and for many sk17 owners to pic Mini Pro over other phones.
Damn Sony, canceled sk19 (Ray Pro).

xperia mini pro ofc, the keyboard is awesome, i dunnoe about the size coz ive never hold mini
The xperia mini pro
But i recomend ro you a xperia sola
Mini Pro!
Hardware Keyboard - Front facing camera, that is you're gonna have face unlock feature - unique design
thinner, lighter, smarter, more accu = xperia mini

Thinner and lighter, that's a fact (although you will barely feel the difference). On what you base your "smarter and more accu" argument?

All the Xperia 2011 phones shares almost the same hardware. Same CPU/GPU and RAM. What differs in fact is screen size, camera, ports and minor software changes depending on version.
