RUU 4.03.605.2 ever being released? - HTC Rezound

Shocked there has been no mention of a release for RUU 4.03.605.2. So what do you guys think, is it just never being officially released?
I thought you could do global stuff with the prior ICS release as well, is that not true?

Say what? the first(and only official ics ota i know of) was 3.14.xxxx (which was ics 4.03). The other RUU came out a couple months later and has yet to be pushed as far as i know.

There was a limited soak test of 4.03.605.1 about 2 weeks after the 3.14.605.12 OTA. A few people got it as an OTA. One person on xda actually got it, which is how we initially knew the new version existed at all.

I'm on the 3.14.605.12 release right now and when I check for updates it says none available. Thoughts? I didn't see many people here talking about the .1 release being pushed either. Weird.

email them back telling them there is a global release that some people were getting. VZW confirms it
Update: Verizon officials reached out to us and confirmed that the rumors are indeed true: the HTC Rezound, Motorola Droid RAZR / RAZR Maxx and Droid 4 will all be updated "this summer." The carrier told us:
Customers will see a notification on their device when the software update is available for their device. After the software update, customers will be able to take their smartphone overseas and use voice service in more than 220 countries and receive data in more than 205 countries.

Yeah, read your links and the comments by those saying they got it. I definitely believe the soak test happened which is why i was asking if anyone had heard official release dates. Guess eventually Verizon might push to the masses, but on their own timeframe (hell freezing over or something like that)

I haven't gotten the update either (HTC Aria). In the mean time, i guess i just have to keep using Android Sideload Wonder Machine.
Yes, I have also read about the update.
But didn't the official 2.2 update prevent rooting?
So why depend on ATT's updates?
Well I have 2.2 and really have no other option or way to get unknown sources on my phone....

I remember reading somewhere that it might be until the end of this week before all the phones get the update, but now I can't find the source of that information. I'd at least give it until the end of the month before worrying about it.

I meant I read somewhere that there was a specific date that they said the updates would be pushed out by. May 28 is sticking out in my mind right now but I don't know for sure. Or maybe I'm just confusing it with something else. :<

Just curious, do I have to have a sim card in my Aria to get it to receive the update? I no longer am an AT&T customer, but I'd like to receive the update for development purposes..
Whenever I go to AT&T software update, "Check for updates" is grayed out and I can't press it.

Most likely. Since it is grayed out without the SIM card, then most likely you can't get the update without it.

I'm sure it will be available online somewhere shortly. If not you could probably just put a friends sim in it and do the upgrade or buy a cheap prepaid sim.

Same here. Love my 920, esp with T-Mobile...but it's starting to get irritating. They said the rollout finishes mid-March, which means we are technically still in the time frame they gave. However, I just wish one of the reps I talk with could let me know WHEN or IF they plan on updating the developer version. If not, I think I'm going to flash it to Rogers (or sell it and buy an ATT version when they become unlockable).

I don't think the Att versions will work on T-Mobile, and there's no way in hell I would ever be on Att. Our phone should have been the first ones upgraded since they were the first ones released.

Will Sprint overlook G3 for OTA Marshmellow update?

With other carriers already prepping/pushing out Android 6.0 to the G3, I still have seen nothing from Sprint on Android 6.0 for the G3. I did hear the G4 will get 6.0 soon, however.... will Sprint be ignoring the G3 for the Android 6.0 updated ROM in favor of selling more G5 units on launch?
Not really a Q&A thread, I just wanted everyone's insight and opinions on the matter. I run into this issue with Sprint specifically when it comes to OTA updates....
Not really interested in custom ROMs at this point, FYI, so a heads up before you think about posting links for me here
G4 already has 6.0. I'm fairly sure we will get it but who knows when. For whatever it's worth here's an email response I received when I asked about Marshmallow.

Only Verizon has released 6.0 on the G3 so far. Give it more time. Sprint is probably having issues with the wifi calling or something.
My gf has the g4 on T-Mobile & just got the marshmallow update. I've read various places that the g3 for all the major carriers will get it eventually. Sprint is generally the slowest out of them all to roll out updates. So to answer your question, yes we'll get it but who knows when.

It is usually AT&T who is the last. I got lollipop on my work AT&T G3 6 months after the other 3 carriers had it. T-Mobile is not listing Marshmallow on their site yet. This is last week's article showing updates: https://www.androidpit.com/lg-g3-android-update
The Sprint G4 was updated to Marshmellow back just before Christmas. And has got another update the start of this month. They seem to have not updated their RDF to reflect that. On the G3 front there has also been no action of the RDF :/ I'm hoping they just stopped using that and are doing internal testing we just don't know about but I'm not really hopeful. I'm pretty disappointed in LG and Sprint, I can live without OS goodies but for the love of all give us the monthly security patches.
the LG G Stylo received the OTA around last month on Sprint/Boost then T-Mobile/Metro right after soo.....us on the G3 might get it before T-Mobile again
I think it's safe to say none of the carriers release them fast enough for any of us. T-Mobile might not list it on their site but her phone definitely got the marshmallow update. I can provide a screenshot later when she gets home. Not that any of that matters, as it's not our network or phone.

I would think if T-Mobile got an OTA it would be posted here http://forum.xda-developers.com/tmobile-lg-g3/general by some excited member. T-Mobile community forum is still stating any day and that the update is ready. Maybe your friend's is the first. But until now only Verizon members have posted about receiving MM on the G3. Even international members are asking where is there update. So it seems the hold up was LG.

Talked to Sprint customer service about a week ago. According to them Sprint LG G3 should receive Marshmallow on March 23rd.
Right as N is coming about, the last official update will be M. Hey I still have mine and love it.
Why does everyone loose their minds on updates being pushed OTA !?!?!
If you're rooted 99% of the time you skip the OTA to keep from breaking root AND being rooted you can upgrade at your leisure because there is always a port and CM.
There is already and official CM13 and other 6.0 ROMS so who cares what Sprint does unless you like the bloatware.

Can confirm, I talked to a rep as well a few days ago and they said that they wouldn't give me an exact date but its due before April 1st.
In my opinion the main reason some users focus on official firmware releases is because cm and aosp camera apps suck. And not in a good way.

T-mobile S9/S9+ MIA Update.

This is pretty ridiculous. I get pulling the update on April 14th due to the boot looping. But.... its June 1st and still nothing. Like June Security is gonna be out and were still sitting on launch software or March if ur phone didn't brick. Any guesses as to what the hell the holdup is? My theory is they discovered that everyone's phone is a software time bomb and any updates they are testing causes them to spazz out. And for anyone who's gonna say blah blah its how updates go...... I'm just seeing what some other theories are and letting others voice their opinions.

Wi-Fi calling for T-Mobile works fine on the Unlocked S9+
Some of the carrier specific stuff downloads when the SIM registers to the T-Mobile network. But you can download the rest of the apps if you want them from the Play Store.
You don't have all the bloat unless you choose to install it.

Any downsides? Does SamsungPay still work? That's a big one for me.
Samsung Pay works fine. I have no downsides. Though I have never used a branded T-Mobile phone since I have been on T-Mobile, so maybe I don't know what I am missing, if anything.
There isn't that much difference. I personally wouldn't do it. There unlocked version hasn't gotten any updates either and is still sitting at Feb 1 security patches.

Question Ota updates

Hi I think I asked this question before and I can't remember if I got an answer I can't find it in searching so here it is. I own a pixel 6 which is now my wife's and it is from the Google store on Verizon network. I also now have a 6 pro that is Verizon branded so locked bootloader. My question are the ota different for Verizon I know some are but can I use the Verizon build on my wife's pixel 6 or does it have to be the global version? The reason I ask is because last week I put the global version on my pixel 6 pro and it worked fine well I mean the device was usable but now today I see i got an update for 7 mb and googling has 5old me that Verizon is only just now releasing 5he update. So while it still works it's missing something. I was just wondering if I should update my wife's pixel with the Verizon build also?
I think the answer is different every month. Sometimes they just have a global update, sometimes they are carrier specific. Google posts this info here:

I really don't think it matters. But why did you install the global version? Didn't the Vzw version come out at the same time? Nonetheless, take the small update and you should be fine. Is everything working ok? Many people have done what you did and I've yet to see anyone having problems that installing the other version caused. Worst scenario you'll reinstall the labeled update. Just make sure you tick the OEM switch in case.

The Verizon specific updates contain radio frequency changes that are specific to Verizon. Those changes have not yet been approved by other carriers, which is why they are specific to Verizon. In most cases, the next global monthly update includes the Verizon specific changes, so if you take the following global update you will also get the Verizon updates. You can take this months Verizon update to get the latest radio frequencies, or wait until next month's global update. It probably makes no difference which option you choose.

Oh I see so you didn't wait for the OTA but sideloaded it. If there is a Vzw specific one they've said before something like "for all except VZW devices" and then you were forced to wait. I think the small OTA you received would update the general build to the Verizon specific one but I could be wrong, I just don't know and it's hard to find the definitive answer. As stated above, I don't think you need to worry if everything is working. Take the OTA and forget about it.
I installed the October update!
New features and bug fixes.
Super smooth sailing from here on out.
