Disabled Apps - Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note II

What apps have you disabled? I disabled all of the VZW's and a few others, but wondering what other people have disabled?

google music manager

I'm slightly annoyed by this. Does anyone know if there is a way to upload music we download to Google music from our tablets or if there is an android music manager app in the works? I'm pretty sure my tablet is going to be my primary device and I'd like for it to be nearly as versatile as my laptop but it doesn't look like that's gonna happen anytime soon.
There isn't, no. Whether one is in the works I do not know. I wouldn't be terribly surprised though to see a way to manually add tracks in later updates to Music Beta. What's your use-case for having a music manager app on your tablet?
The work around i found get a wifi sync app and use to send the music to your pc that you want up loaded to google music

It doesn't have to be music manager per se, but the ability to upload from mobile devices is necessary if we have the ability to purchase from them. This weekend I bought 3 albums that are only only my tab and I should be able to move them to the cloud via the Google Music app, at a minimum.

I fear that the content you purchased will not even be able to be uploaded to Google Music Beta due to the DRM. Its my understanding that any music files with embedded DRM cannot be uploaded to the GMb service.

Not every song purchased hasd DRM. Amazon for example sells DRM free songs that I would like to upload to google music from my tablet.

Not to mention all of the songs I plan on downloading using tTorrent
I just wish they would integrate it into music beta soon. I'd love to be able to download music to my phone or tablet, upload it, and then remove it from my internal storage

[Q] Amazon MP3 and regular Amazon

Anyone get these apps to work?
Thanks
Amazon mp3 works fine for me, downloaded off the market after the initial boot-up. Been streaming music from my account no problem. Amazon.com app isn't authorized for tablets, but theoretically if you find the .apk or a titanium backup file of it there's a good chance it'll work
I was able to install both apps using the Amazon App Store with no problems.
I was able to install using the Amazon App Store. No issues.

i was able to install both amazon.com and amazon mp3. but after i uploaded my music to the amazon cloud player to stream, as soon as i clicked on a song to play it force closes.

Thank you, Google (music)!

Not really RAZR-specific, but it's the little things that make this phone so awesome. I just wanted to say an open "thank you" to Google for their new music app. Not only does most of my music carry over to it from my computer, but I don't have to store it on my phone.
The best feature is it sends track/artist information over bluetooth to my car headunit, something no other music player has done for me. It also allows my headunit to control Google music via my steering wheel controls; another bonus feature that doesn't always work as well with other players.
What Music app are you talking about? On my Razr I have the Moto developed app that gives you access to webradio and Motocast etc., not Googles music app.

Google Music app is available from the Market for free.
Beartard, what kind of vehicle do you have? Is this a Ford sync feature?
I have a 2002 Jeep Liberty with a JVC KD-R926 headunit. Nothing special at all, really.

Just wondering if anyone using this music app, or any others, has been able to get the lock screen music controls to work. I really like having them and they are currently the only reason I have stuck with the stock music app. Thanks
David:
MortPlayer Music has a downloadable lockscreen widget that gives you control on the lockscreen (you will need the player and the widget--two seperate downloads, both free). The only catch is that it's a folder-based player, so it'll only handle music that is actually on your device. Hope this helps!

Correction: you only need the player. You can enable the lockscreen controls via Mortplayer's settings in 'Lockscreen' section.

Amazon mp3 or google music?

I've only used amazon mp3 but I'm very happy with it. I'm sure you'd be able to dig the mp3 out of your phone if you actually load it on the phone (as opposed to streaming) but it's easy to go to the amazon mp3 website and grab it.
I mostly use Google music but if they don't have something I'll get it from Amazon.
Same here use Google Music since my OG, and I haven't looked back. You can upload up to 22,000 of your own songs, download purchased and free music to your computer, and Google tends to have lots of free music available if you use your computer browser.
The only downside to me is that Google Music isn't a physical music program on your computer, just the Music Manager program that uploads and downloads songs. Besides this though, I love how simple it is after you first try it.
Just my two cents.

I use Amazon, I like the fact that I choose when and how to put them in the cloud...
Thanks guys

I have been trying everything to see what I like best. My Epic just killed the battery using any music apps, so I never used it for that.
My Google music uploads got "stuck" after about 3500 songs and I have never been able to get it past that, so I've been trying Pandora and Tunein radio.
Amazon seems to have a lot of free mp3 credits you can get if you follow them on twitter and facebook. They also have the $5 album deals all the time. So, for purchasing music I think it's better. However, if you already have a large existing library, Amazon only gives you 5gb free, but Google gives you a ton of free space with 20,000 songs. If there was a simple way to quickly push your Amazon mp3 purchases to Google music, that would be a great option.
I use Google Music on my phone. I prefer the interface to Amazon MP3 (though I haven't tried it for a while). As far as purchasing music goes, I normally buy from Amazon (where I do most of my shopping) unless Google has a deal. I usually buy on my computer, download to my computer, upload to iTunes (I don't like iTunes but Windows Media Player didn't sync with Google Music correctly when file formats weren't perfect), and then Google Music Manager syncs my music to the cloud. I do often get free music off of Google Music and it automatically gets added to Google Music and I can download it to my PC if I want. It's not perfect, but it's smoother than it sounds (and it wouldn't be so bad if I'd just buy my music from Google and didn't care about storing locally). I'm not sure about the Amazon MP3 app, but Google Music lets users store music locally. I plan on storing all of my music directly on my phone when I get the new Evo and have 64GB+ of space.
I prefer Amazon as my buying choice because the pc program "Amazon Downloader" when run detects all of your latest purchases, automatically downloads to your preferred music folder AND add to your Itunes library.
Plus unlimited space once you buy an album, don't know how long that will last but I have over 100gb up on the cloud. Love it.
As noted... Amazon does give out free mp3 codes fairly often, so I tend to use them more.

This. Google makes downloading your own music a royal pain, especially for individual songs. Amazon is much better at this. And generally, amazon is cheaper too

Unable to play google music on bubbleupnp

The app keeps barking that it could not find a registered device. How on earth do i register the google music app on my android phone. It is installed and running on my phone. So, i assume it is registered, but bubbleupnp thinks my phone is not a registered device for this app. It was the main reason i paid for this app.
Could anyone offer a tip?

I don't think so unfortunately, you can read that : https://reddit.com/r/YoutubeMusic/comments/hhg308/bubble_upnp_will_it_support_ytm/
But do it anyway, it has already started, it will save your library so you don't lose all of your song

Is there a way to stream pandora, spotify, etc from my android phone to an external renderer (my hifi bluray/sacd player) with bubbleupnp? I don't want to pay for Qobuz or tidal which bubble permits. I am currently using bubble to push music files from my NAS to this bluray/sacd player (dlna). But, i have not figured out a way to stream music from free services like pandora etc from my phone to this player. I use pandora, google play music, etc to find new music.
Any tip you offer is much appreciated.
