No Video Miui 2.4.6

The rom is near flawless, but could you guys tell me why video isn't playing? I did a normal installation from gb and wiped everything. When I try to play a video on YouTube the app force closes and when I try to play video saved on my phone the default video player says file is not compatible even though I know it is (mp4)

I'm unfortunately in the same situation you are. I flashed to MIUI from Cyanogenmod 7.2 last night and always get force closes on Youtube.
I figured it out, you have to flash glitch kernel 14 b6.

Atrix CM7.2 Stable Built in Video Player

Hi every one,
I wanted to know how i can disable/uninstall Atrix CM7.2 Stable Built in Video Player. The built in video player sucks big time and every time i click on youtube video its launches automatically and wont even play the video and close it self down. i have tried freezing gallery app to check but its not it so let me know if any one know which apk or app to uninstall/freeze will stop that little bugger to messing with me
Try cleaning up the video app settings. This could help you by enabling the choose app screen next time you open a video file.

There is no video app in my app drawer. and i have checked all apps using titanium and other app freezing applications.
Doesn't youtube videos use flash or the built in youtube app? Could it be that the current version of flash you have installed is what's causing the problem? Try downgrading or upgrading perhaps?
If you're having problems playing video files (.avi, .mkv, etc.) try using MX Player from playstore.
i have all those apps but thing is built in app wont let them play the content, it comes first auto and wont even play a dam thing
Google flash player APK 10.3. I don't have any YouTube problems (yet).

S3 Video player issue

In the default video player when ever i play the video ( in vertical holding)in generally the video should align to the middle but mostly of the time(8 out of 10 times) it is aligning to the top .
I started observing this after the recent official update ,is there any solution for this ?, Does any one of you have the same issue ?
Try clearing the application data of the video player or download a better video player: MX Player.

MX Player is the best use it
Using an alternative video player isn't solving the issue though is it? MX Player solves the problem but doesn't look as polished as the stock player.
I've had the same problem as the OP since flashing different ROMs, it certainly wasn't a problem before. There is also the same problem with YouTube in portrait mode.
Have tried clearing data and factory reset but to no avail.
It is frustrating to say the least...

I also had the same problem. And I belIeve the camera app also had the same problem...I did fix the problem....flash the fastest Rom again and problem solved.
Have tried the latest stock ROM this morning and issue still present. It is however only present on AVI files, not mp4.

I've got same problem and really no idea how to fix it
i love style of stock player but mxplayer is more powerfull
So this issue is in YouTube app, Camera app, Video Player app ... i guess it's related to root access ...

Any solution apart from installing a different ROM? Youtube gives me this problem. Quite annoying.

it's not just because you are on a slow network or have wi-fi disabled is it? Try shooting a video with the onboard video recorder or loading a different video file onto your phone and seeing if the playback of that is just fine or whether you get the same issue.
Yes even my video player is not playing saved video. Wat might b the problem.

Please tell us your current rom version ....and kernel please ...
It's nearly impossible to trouble shoot this problem without more information.
In addition ...are you rooted, if so have you fixed permissions for your apps, and is your YouTube apk the latest version ..
These problems can be troublesome, and I'm sorry for all of the questions, but it helps rule out the obvious problems first ...g
I'm not rooted, using stock ROM 4.0.4 ICS, kernel 3.0.8. Yes latest you tube apk

Try reverting your YouTube apk to the previous version in the play store ....by uninstalling the update ....
Then don't allow automatic updates ..
Also ...go into your player apk, and YouTube apk under the applications menu and wipe the cache and data for both apps ....then reboot to test ....g
